I know it is stupid to link to my own comment but just because it is so relevant and I don't want to type it again. http://archive.is/r8QMJ This is my view of it. Nobody is saying you should ignore scientific method. But religion keeps a strong bond between the layers of society which is essential to civilizations. It is the unreasonable food for the unreasonable mind to connect to those that are reasonable. It is a tool for control and transfer of information between generations.

I am against this but simply because I am also against voluntary abortion. In my country they are allowed for medical reasons but having so many cynical/corrupt doctors almost everybody gets to have one (we are in the top 10 for abortion rates in the world). But having said that in the current system this is the only logical thing to do:If a woman can decide to abort it during pregnancy , a man should be able to decide to financially absolve from it during pregnancy. To be fair this is TRP. Of all places, this should be the one that doesn't give a shit about insults directed at them. He is antagonistic and full of himself, doesn't make what he says lose value. He makes a lot of valid points. Worth the read imo.
