Sounds amazing to me. I'm supposed to get 1 overnight a month but she my ex has even denied those since Sept. For no other reason other than because she can.

I still feel this way and I've been divorced for almost 3 years. I was a stay home parent so I've gone from seeing them everyday to now its been about 6 months since I've even seen them. I don't think we are meant to ever be okay with the lack of time and experiences lost. But, like u/lemmingsrevenge says it just becomes the new normal. I go on with my life. I send my email every week asking for my visit and every week she refuses. Serves two purposes. First, when my kids ask why I wasn't there,…

I didnt use a lawyer but if you're paying for one that's what he is for. You have the docs sent to him to review and then if no problems sign

My Ex hid the children from until I filed because she gave up residency when she took them out of the county.

I am uncertain, if I make the wrong choice and pick the wrong hill to die on. I could end up cause more harm to the kids than if I had done nothing. I feel paralyzed I have all these choices but in everyone someone gets hurt. Myself, the kids, even her as much as I do hate her I do care about her well being for nothing else she is the mother of my children and while she hates me, she is a great mom. My kids want for nothing and it isn't my $154 that makes that happen. My natural instinct is to c…

Yes the visitation schedule I gave is in the current agreement as is everything else I listed. this is the form I used when filing along with our separation agreement and divorce motion. my actual filing can seen on lucas county ohio common pleas court web site I can send you the case # if needed https://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/JCS/CFC/DRForms/Form17.pdf

Not really my other option is to argue that the current agreement is fine if she would hold up her side of it. but when I have call insurance companies to find out who is billing them to find out their doctor or therapist is. Or who my son's baby sitter is by way of who said yes on her facebook post looking for one, or agreeing to elective surgeries with giving me no time to find a second opinion or the time of the operation until the day before. I used the generic Ohio supreme court forms to fi…

Better than seeing my daughter cry while her mom says "wonderful" things about me. Or how even though its been two years the girls still ask why did mom lie to us or how they still cry the same way on the way to drop them back off to their mother. She's in my head so much still I don't know whats in the kids best interest

There's a lot of history I've made many posts about my marriage and its ending. When I filed the divorce because she gave up her residency status. She refused to even let me see the kids until I did so. the current shared parenting plan we have is every other weekend a handful of non alternating holiday's and a week in the summer. It works out to about 6 days a month. current support is $154 she gets all three kids every tax year. She refuses to disclose medical information about the kids or bab…

On reflecting on this post. While I know she doesn't have the funds to travel to Ireland I know nothing about him and his access to money. He might be able to fly them there. Laura has already in writing offered me a entire month of visitation in the summer if I agree to let her take the kids there to Ireland with the exception that I would have pay 100% to fly them from Ireland to US and back. So the risk of her fleeing the country with them is just as likely I would take off with them

Update: Below is a copy of the message I sent to her. I feel its extremely fair and I hope she accepts it. "Last offer to attempt to work something out. One overnight a month. One week notice required before visit. Visits will not occur at my mothers house. I want one week in the summer with one month notice. I also request Father's Day, my birthday for visitation, and 2 hours on December 23 to exchange gifts. I request phone calls up to 3 times a week. I want child care set to $0, Child support…

Its the same reason why women don't leave when abuse happens. I loved her and I thought she would change. Through all the bad, the hurtful words, and being hit there were good happy times. The memory of the good times kept me going through the bad. I also had the kids to think about and yes I did think about leaving many times. I didn't because I worried what would happen to her if the kids and I did so. I knew I could take the abuse and I knew she wouldn't harm the kids so I stayed. I stayed wh…

Oh so my request to speak to the person she is involved is unreasonable too I bet. She is the one who had $500-$1000 a month roxycodone addition on the salary of a wendy's manager for the entirely of our marriage. She's the one who would shut herself in the bedroom and turn me and the kids away. Not even eat meals with us. She was the one who physically attacked me on multiple occasions. I suffered and continue to suffer mental and emotional abuse from her. She's the one who stripped on webcam f…

DOn't wait file before she establishes residency at her new location. That's the only thing that saved me from getting an even worse deal than already have.

Yea, the more I think about it that seems to be the best way forward. We go back to court on the 9th of September. I have a statement I want read then if the judge will allow it and inquire about the step-up plan if I need it. And, I have to ask do you happen to know me. Because 4781 happens to mean something personal to me lol

So the ex-wife has found this post. Apparently she is unhappy with that fact.

I've been trying to take the high ground for nearly two years. Only to be told in text that the kids would be better off without me. I should just go away. That I should be a deadbeat dad. Wanted to change the kids last name's so they aren't associated with my family. So far, I've for the most part have tried to not sling mud and be civil. While married I was the primary caregiver the entire time until jun 10 2018. That's when the kids were going to her parents house for two weeks for summer lik…

I've been divorced for almost two years and there are still moments where I'll think I have to tell her about this when I get home or turn to say something to her and for a moment I don't know why her and the kids aren't there and part me breaks all over again

Perhaps not but I really try to separate how she acts and reacts to me from how she acts and reacts with the kids.

Even before the divorce I was kind of a beaten man. https://www.reddit.com/user/throwaway001470/ this was my old reddit account where I talked about it.

I'm in Ohio, we have shared parenting. No matter where the child is at given time both parents have the legal designation as being a “residential parent”, even though one parent may have the designation as the “residential parent for school placement purposes only“. The kids are currently on medicaid. I did at get doctors names and information from the insurance carrier after sending a copy of the SPP to them. I still don't have babysitter name or other information.

Its been really hard but I don't talk bad about her around the kids. If they ask a question about why mom took them and left, I tell I don't really know and they should ask her.

I'm supposed to see them tuesday for a few days. I booked a hotel in their city because my county covid numbers are surging and theirs aren't. I'm going to focus on that for now.

Thanks, that's what I keep telling myself that they will be old enough they will ask questions and try to understand. I do love my children very much. I was a stay home parent during the marriage so the kids and I are close. I just can't see them cry anymore while their mom yells at me or down talks me.
