Holy Fuck! Neo Nazis are more subtle than that. that wasn't journalism that was a long supremacy rant in a major newspaper. This is getting really out of control.

I love it when they do stuff like this. I see a lot of comments about people hearing that we're a bunch of crazies coming over here and actually finding a civil discussion. It's what brought me here.

I don't know. If this was apply equally it would be great. Had a girl lie about being on birth control to try to get me to get her pregnant. If she did become pregnant I could say I was raped, and be held with no accountability.

Honest question here. This looks like it's from 2011, isn't the CDC's more resent? Does that make it more relevant? Just want to make sure we're keeping our facts straight.

A lot of younger women are perfectly willing to buy a guy dinner. I use to joke around with girls about how I might let them buy me dinner at Olive Garden. I had to stop doing this because it worked too often and I got in trouble for getting numbers on the job. I think this generation of women are getting tired of traditional gender roles that guys have to bear too, and are willing to buck the trend.

Do these people really think that guys are fuming because women are making games? We don't care who makes them just make them good. I get this shit at the college I go to. It's a 60% male engineering school and we're accused of sexism and women hating all the time. Heard one time "you just want this to be a boys club". Yes having no girls around is exactly what college guys want /s.

I see no real problem with this. She's playing crazy, she's the bad guy of this story. Lets not be the easily offender people that we slight Rad-Fems of being.

I can see how his anology works not in magnatude but direction. You make a scape goat that you can blame any and all problems on, when they might have deeper causes. Then you just throw the scape goat under the bus whenever you need to symbolicly "fix" the problem. Repeat as needed.

HOLY.FUCK.YES! Had a girl try to trick me into getting her pregnant, and I had known her for years. I'm much more wary now. Unless I'm at least willing to consider spending my whole life with you, you're not getting in my paints.

Hey that's what attracted me to this sub. I kept hearing about he the "crazys" over here and decided I'd like to see them for myself. After reading the front page and seeing that important stuff was being talked about I stayed.

Actually I can. The only time I go into midtown, not in a car, is when I go to Publixs. I keep my receipts so I knew how many times I'd been there, 47 times in all. When I go I ride my bike almost up to the front door, so I'm on the sidewalk for 30 seconds or so and in the short time a group to women decide to try to hump me. So yeah (1/47)*100%=2.13%.
/r/MensRights08/11/14 03:24 PM

Did that math with my Publics visits in midtown Atl. I'm a guy that has been humped by drunk women 2.13% of the times I've been there.

I mean, do they not get that they just mocked all our issues, then turned around and say they are working on them? They wonder why we don't trust feminism with our issues? It's because of people like them that we don't!

This scares me so much. I'm at one of the colleges on the east coast that has adopted the California model. Actually, ours is more hard core because we've had problems with fraternities in the past. I'm in a long term relationship with a girl from another town. But, that scares me is that if I ever piss off a girl on campus, she can report me and I am the one that has to prove my innocence's. There's a girl in one of my classes that has proposed that we hook up a couple times. What happens when …

The literaly only problem I have with feminism, unpopular opinion here but so be it, is the denial of responsibility associated with rights. You get societal acceptance to be promiscuous, you have to deal with the consequences, via shotgun wedding or child support. Quid pro quo.

Actually, I just assume it exist when I debate. It generally crumbles under its own weight and involves so much double think that it generally becomes a burden in the argument anyways. And logical fallacy are not the end all be all in an argument. Especially emotionally charged ones.
/r/MensRights14/10/14 08:58 PM

Yeah kind of. My problem is that they say that Patriarchy is its literal definition, that the majority of our leaders are men. That's true, can't argue against that, but in the same breath they say things like "slut shamming is caused by ingrained patriarchy". Meaning to say that individual men's power is to blame. If you call them out on it they will say, that "of course men have power because society praises masculinity and men have privilege." When you argue that it isn't true and Patriarchy …

Whenever I argue I always just assume Patriarchy Theory is true when debating with my feminist friends, because its definition is so fluid that its hard to argue against. Also, it involves so much double think that it generally becomes a burden in the argument anyways because of situations like the one you've described above. Ex. Under Patriarchy theory men can't experience sexism, so feminism can't be fighting for men's right because gendered problems don't exist for men. So if one problem for …

For good reason. Under Patriarchy theory men can't experience sexism, so whenever someone evokes it you know that they don't have any true internist in equality.

In the situation you described, the teller is still a victim, but of their own making. That's the point I was going for but, you wrote it much more eloquently. Maybe we can start a team, I write the metaphors and you right the summaries.

There are times when both can be said. There are some people who want to hijack men's right to be ass hats and what scares me is that if we don't call them out on it we have the possibility to become the same thing feminism is now. At the same time, concern trolls are a real thing. You are right that they do threaten to water down our message. But, I don't think that we should just dismiss criticism right off the bat. What I like about this sub is that people can disagree and debate without bein…

Any games real if it works. I've had success with using Facebook, even ended up dating my high school crush, a girl I never really new, after we graduated because we started talking on Facebook. I would say Facebook is more of a tool to help you keep up interest with people you've already open to, than a place to meet new people. But hey, if you have that many girls on Facebook try it out. Whats the worst that could happen? They unfreind you?

I've thought about this in regards to my college's new "she doesn't have to verbally or physically resist" rules for rape. It's a tricky issue, on one hand that means that you can have what seems to be 100% consensual sex with a girl but you've really accidentally "raped" her. On the other side of it, if you get mugged you don't actively say no or resist because you're afraid of getting harmed if you do. I came up with an analogy if the situation to think it through. Imagine you're at a bank, an…

I stopped paying for dates awhile ago and I did get negative reactions, but I like to think of it more as a filtering system. I mean, do I really want to date someone who is narisitic and selfish enough, to demand someone they're just getting to know to buy them dinner and then expect nothing in return? I did make some exceptions though. When I first started dating my GF she insisted on paying for her lunch, so I did end up treating her on the second date. It's not always about the money, it's a…

I agree very much the fact that misogyny is a suppression tactic for silencing discourse. But the problem is that as MRA's we're fighting an uphill battle. We have to show that we're better than those who call us misogynist, because they already have moral superiority in societies eye. If we continue to fight for our rights without stooping to their level, people will see that and, they wont have that ammo anymore.
/r/MensRights11/09/14 09:34 PM

First off I think that not taking our claims seriously is misandry, and I know first hand from trying to start a MRA society on my campus that many people consider whatever we do as MRA's misogyny. I also understand that this form has very little to do with male rights activism. This is only making the work of MRAs harder because we now not only have to fight false misogyny claims but also stuff like this. As you would say "see which feelings have a rational basis in fact.", will something like …

No, I think it's a very clear case of people not taking our complaints seriously. Which is why I can emphasize with how someone would feel if they had experienced a true case of misogyny and saw this. edit- just to clear somethings up I never said "that "misogyny" is whatever Feminists feel it is" or any of those other things you quoted in your edit.

I don't really like this very much. The whole reason we're on this sub is because we feel like our valid complaints misandry are not taken seriously. Doing the same to other people only makes us sink to their level.

Even as someone who use to be in the PUA community, I think women need to ask guys out. Guy have 101010 rules when it comes to picking up women without looking like a creep/getting arrested/becoming a social pariah. It makes sense that women should ask guys, they are far less restricted in doing so. Every time I hear a woman say she can't find a good guy/men are creepy when they ask them out/don't like the constant attention, I tell them the best way to fix that problem is for women to start doi…

That and the subsequent #yesallwomen campaign is what finally pushed my into MRAism. I just couldn't fathom that people not only wanted to associate me with one psychopathic nut job, but also though it was ok to treat me like one. It's kinda funny that feminism pushed me to be one of the things they hate. My tablet is experiencing a particular glitch where the spell check doesn't work, so please forgive the typos, I'm not great at spelling. Edit: Fixed it

My legal side says if it works and doesn't displace normal taxi's, let them do it. But, because New York has a set number of cabs allowed it will displace cabs making it harder for men to get a cab. Unless I understand this incorrectly. My ethical side says that I don't like how this perpetuates the stereotype that all men are out to murder-rape you. Also, I don't think this would work for race/ethnicity even if you had evidence that it endangers your cab service.

This is just more proof that most women get it. Women have the same, or more, right than men have. And, capitalism will hire anyone that does the better job for less wage. The problem is people who project their idea of "male privilege" onto all men, and then complain when they don't get treated like a financial character. Edited for clarity.

My college resently pasted the same rules that apply to California colleges so I've looked into them a lot. The rules say that the person initating the sexual contact has the burden of gaining concent. So no, the situation you desribed can't happen. I belive unfortunately that this is one of the parts of the law that targets men. Men have the expectaions to be the ones to initiate sex.

This is a augment, though unsubstantiated by research, that I use a lot to explain some of the wage gap. When a woman turns 18 she has very high social worth, in some cases as higher than she will have the the rest of her life. An 18 year old guy on the other hand has jack shit for social worth. Who do you think is going to make a huge investment of time, effort and energy to increase their social worth at that age?

I don't really think that we need/have men only spaces. The whole point of this moment is to give the other half a voice. Shutting people up goes directly against that.

I think you might have the quote wrong. The text says "It is important to have more women in technology". I might be wrong about this though, but I didn't see what you quoted in the text. I normally wouldn't say anything about a small typo like, and believe me the issue of men being not wanted in tech fields is very close to my heart, but I believe misrepresentation on both sides is a bad thing.

My college in Georgia, because it no use hiding it because of my post history, Georgia Institute of Technology has implemented this too. According to this both myself and my girlfriend have raped each other many, many times.

To their benefit I will say that the language they used was gender neutral. The problem was that it is the burden of the person making sexual advances to gain consent. And, guys are still expected to make the first move in our society. They did seem to give equal resources to guys, except outreach from a women's shelter was one of the resources. As with domestic violence, I do belive men will probably be blown off with this new policy.

Thanks man, luckily I have a wonderful girlfriend that goes to another college in another state. I have been trying to get the word out to my freinds that basically it's not worth it to have sex with the girls from our college. Most guys here are more worried about their careers and research than random poon anyway.

Hey, Aerospace Engineer here. Making toys, especially modern ones, is a job an engineer would do. You'd be surprised at the level of engineering even a simple light up toy can have. One of my good friends is even working on her Mech Eng degree to work at Lego. The only thing I will say about this initiative, is that there are so many programs like this as well as scholarship to get women into engineering. Even after all this, most of my classes are male. Then you get to here from people that Eng…

The problem is that consent can be non verbally withdrawn at any time, and it has to be asked for at every escalation. Also my roommate just found a part in the rules that says that propositioning sex is sexual harassment. So, I'm not really sure how to go about getting it consent without mind reading.

I'm sorry to hear about that man, but really awesome you're still there for your son. Stuff like this is what brought me to MRA. I'm not saying that guys are the end all be all most oppressed group in the world. But we have some real problems that aren't addressed. I spent weeks of sleepless nights after this happened. Worrying that my hard earned college money would have to be spent on child support and my life was over. Guys shouldn't have to worry about this. Every time I see a pro choice ad …

This happened to me. Told me she was on birth control, that I didn't need a condom. Screamed during sex for me to come inside her. Only found out about it because she left messager logged in on my phone from earlier that night. She told a friend that she was either going to use it to force me into a relationship with her, or use it to get her boyfriend, she never mentioned him before, kicked out of his parents house so he'd live with her. You know stuff like this really makes me feel alittle better. The main reason I've turned towards some of what male rights believes is because I became really tired and hurt when radical Feminist would blame every little thing wrong in the world on me. Seeing women that will take authority of their lives really lightens my heart. Luckily, I have found many women who feel the same way this woman does. And, they seem to be becoming the majority.
