Time for my run. Thank you for sharing.

What would be the default response if she says "why do I look interesting?" and you can't think of anything off the top of your head? I'd say: "What, you mean you don't know why you're interesting?" Also, OP kinda answered it here: http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/1eld32/i_think_i_may_have_found_the_perfect_opener/ca1el6y

It's entertainment worthy of seddit discussion. I'd post it if I were in his place, regardless of personal feelings.

Move on to the next girl. It's ridiculous to obsess over one girl when there are thousands of people you can meet.

Compliance with feminist attitudes is in some ways being feminist. Do you disagree or not understand how such a conclusion is being drawn? Randian has some great points in his original comment, but I guess he's taken the rebuttal from redpillschool too personally. So we have Randian caricaturing the PUA mindset and not really contributing anything to his/your POV. This is what my comment was about. Guys come here to discuss techniques that bolster their social lives. There are also a lot of newb…

144 itemized, useless fluff suggestions. Why not say something simpler and save your breath?

It's really this simple. It's strange if you invest any attention in a girl who blows off more than a couple dates, so stick to what dannyqthach said!

It's awesome you're motivated to help yourself grow. A friend of mine always shares conversations he has with his sister; she's got no life and loads of discomfort. So I'm genuinely happy for you and know you can do this! I spent time in low-wage customer-service jobs and just communicated with anyone that came up (it helped that it was my job). If this is the kind of job you end up with, put it to the best use possible! Also, "I'm new in town" is about the most natural opener or explanation you…

A girl like you is bound to have hobbies! And you attend university? This is a huge benefit to finding activities you enjoy and interacting with like-minded people. If you don't like a hobby or a group, find a new group! Sure, you'll feel uncomfortable at first, but strangers don't care about you screwing up. Only YOU put that negativity on yourself, so get out there and make mistakes!

Yeah, I wasn't considering that aspect of it when I replied. That does sting, I've had to cut a few friends, but never for that reason. You can always make better friends. Good luck, brother!

^ Abundance mentality, remember? I can imagine you seething with rage as you utter these words; that won't do at all.

'have fun :)' Making something up feels like I'm trying too hard. If the girl's still trying to find out where you're going (and you aren't going out), turn it around on her with some teasing.

Everyone feels anxiety and everyone's a beginner sometime. I'm amping myself up tonight to join a female friend's birthday party and liven up the place. By no means am I a successful PUA...yet. I know I can do it, though. The biggest breakthrough for me was adopting a better mentality (aka frame, state, inner game) towards relationships with others. This is my own experience, but maybe it'll help you too. Check the sidebar for tips on Inner Game.

TofuTofu recommended getting into some bands. I'm not sure how old you actually are, but local bands in small venues are fantastic: you're bound to run into at least a few awesome strangers. I've taken up following a few ska bands in my area for the fun of it. Disclosure: I'm still reeling from tonight's live show, what a blast...

Stop making excuses and go talk to people. Talk to your friends, neighbors, and relatives (easy mode!). Hang out with said friends, neighbors, and relatives if the occasion seems like something you'd enjoy/get to meet people. You don't need to be attracted to everyone you approach because every interaction is about building a solid, social foundation.

Have you ever worked in sales or customer service? Every customer is a potential (albeit short) conversation and the regulars may become your acquaintances. I used to be very awkward around strangers. Today, I'm still awkward, but I'm enjoying the interaction and practicing the method.

I got a customer service job, first in food service, then in retail. You can't choose who you interact with, and you can't retreat. Anything from a tame joke, a comment/compliment on appearance, or sometimes any little thing that's been on your mind lately can open a short conversation and usually makes you look good in front of your bosses. It's been enough for me to develop real confidence in front of strangers. And don't home in on just the girls you like. Talking to anyone you can helps you …

In other words, "Be eager and smile." Don't be desperate. Find something that makes you feel like a winner and carry that emotion with you everywhere. I chose weightlifting. Someone comment if my advice is wrong.

Can you elaborate on: consciousness [as] the key to true success and fulfillment? and also: when I am having moments where I am fully conscious with no thought, everyone seems to respond to me better. How did you develop this quality?
