Some men are happy as single, too. Some people are like that and prefer no attachments.

A lot of people want performative interactions - not just women - but in general - and its gradual but at a certain point people get tired of BS. This doesn't mean you don't learn from relationships and change, but that's not a performance. Thats growth.

Back when I was a kid, my best friend told me several women wanted to talk with me and I'd turn them down. I dont remember this at all. The reason was I was so insecure, I wouldn't recognize it, and "turn then down" specifically because I didn't recognize it. As soon as I started having real confidence in myself and who I am, I began recognizing when people do approach or are genuine with me. Part of the problem is were taught what we are supposed to act like and are consciously playing a role. …

The "nice guy" stereotype is not a nice guy. Thats the point. The full used to be "but I'm a nice guy!" And thats generally in response to "No, I won't go out with you..." or woman is dating someone else who the "nice guy" perceived as more of a jerk. But they aren't nice. In the statement "but I'm a nice guy..." it's transactional. Its being "nice" for the purpose of dating or having sec with you. This is the "nice guy" the internet is talking about That said.... I'm one of those stereotypicall…

I have to ask which PUA / Masculinity influencer said this. There's certainly a desire to take away emotion and affection - dogs are usually the one exception. That said- good for you for finding something you'd like to do more - and go on and do it and disregard whatever rule this is.

You don't need to put women on a pedestal to reform red pill, you just need to that women with humanity. All humans are capable of the positive and negative in society. Putting women on a pedestal rather than looking at them as fellow humans is part of the problem there. That said you're right about women not caring about other women (humans being only in it for themselves is a very human trait), but those reasons range from women being socialized to view other women as competition, internalized…

Like drugs, it's a coping mechanism. You're filling a void with the easy answers it provides rather than trying to progress from there.

They talk to insecure men that blame women, and then sell them classes, books, supplements, etc.

Currently work full time well-paying job and happy with a partner. The first step there was me trying to be those people I envied. It didn't work out.

After an overly dramatic early dalliance with substances, I quit drugs and alcohol, got married, had a nervous breakdown in a foreign country, went home without a job, got divorced, discovered therapy. That's the cliffs notes version. I dont recommend it. You might want to skip a few steps.

Ok. You can't make people like you. Neither can they. Opinions change. Not every boisterous and charismatic personality is liked, not every wallflower ignored. I've been that nerd. I've had a fantastic romantic life later on when I stopped trying or worrying about other people and left myself open to the people who are spending time with me. Edit: the so much more liked crowd writ large is celebrity, and they famously have many peoblems due to high pressure and a loss of privacy. Grass may seem …

Therapy is good for everyone. It can help. I wouldn't qualify it just for you because of the situation you're in now though - but they can certainly get down to your feelings and help you figure out how to change your outlook on these things.

Yeah - don't judge your insides based on everyone else's outsides. People *project* confidence and it is rarely what's going on inside them too. We're all a little clueless.

Trust me. There's someone for everyone. You notice the attractive women gathering around the attractive guys, but do you notice the shy women that are not? Hell - there may be someone bubbling with personality that really wants to get to know you. I'm an introverted, anxious mess and yet I've had great relationships (and bad ones) throughout my life. I've also learned how to be confident and self-assured, and tha took time (gain self-esteem by doing esteemable things). After high school, I was t…

I can answer the TV example. The incompetent male figure is a historical trope going back to Vaudeville, but made popular by thr Honeymooners. The joke isn't "he's male and therefore out of touch," it's "these poor people are dumb and uncultured." It is a bad joke, but its target isn't men. Funny enough, the trope explains Phil's (Modern Family) bumbling as much as it explains Frasier's and Homer's (the Simpsons), even though Frasier is famously cultured and rich, but bumbling and out of touch -…

Therapy is a relationship. It takes two to tango. This therapist isn't working for you. They aren't a good match. It's nobody's fault. I've had good and bad therapists for me. I gave up on it early on because I had a terrible experience with a therapist - one that wrote several books and was somewhat well known in their specialty. For years I went without one and I had a situation that was desperate (at about 37) and I got a new therapist. This one was also not good, but I was assured that if it…

Don't put the blame on yourself in the past as much as start from now and try to be better. Even then, you're human and you're going to fail at that once in awhile. What's important is that you learned, and used that as an opportunity to respond positively. You can use it to beat yourself up, or you can use it as motivation. Beating yourself up rarely motivates, in my experience.
