You’re soooo right. I want him to lead. And you make a great point about how I should only focus on my actions and thy I can’t and don’t want to control him! Ugh thanks so much for this. Really needed the reality check

UGH you're so right!!!! Adult life has been overwhelming for the both of us and simply adjusting to working, our own apt, our own finances, etc. Thank you for really telling me how it is. He does work really hard!!! I really appreciate it your actionable next steps too. I will be rereading your response when times get rough and I feel entitled again.

You're right, working full time and studying is stressful to him. I need to be thinking about it from his perspective. I told him that I'd like to be more pampered because I felt like I was doing a lot to care for him and our home and in return I wanted some flowers and a dinner some times so I would feel appreciated and more motivated to be a good girlfriend. I think I feel like I'm putting more in because we equally contribute to our joint account financially, but on top of that I take care of…

Yeah I don't mind going on top! But with the feeling of resentment of the effort I put into our relationship I haven't been feeling it lately. I was on top the last couple of times and it's not that fun since he just lays there (cause of his back hahaha).

Hey! really appreciate your response How about, "I work harder and bring home more money and I am entitled to better treatment!" How would you feel if he said that? It appears to be true. I don't think I would mind as much if he contributed more to our joint account since he makes more than I do. But we both put in the same amount. I've talked to him about contributing to our joint account by percentage but he didn't agree to it so I let it be. I'm not too sure about calculating our SMV or RMV? …

Congratulations!!! :) If Fall and Winter are your seasons right now, I highly recommend blankets!! Fleece, knitted, fuzzy, etc.... love them all! I love putting them on the arm of an armchair or on our couch. Makes it look super cozy. A little bit of decor for the holidays helps make a home feel more homey. I always hang something outside our front door! We just got a little fake Christmas tree with lights for the upcoming holidays. Anything for any holiday you celebrate. And finally, I always s…

I'm on the same boat!!! My family consists of only girls and my dad has always wanted a son to "carry on the family name" so he told me to keep our last name but... I don't want to. I want to take my future husband's last name... but then it feels like I'm disrespecting and dishonoring my father.. sigh

I'm always wary of shopping online because I'm afraid some clothes won't look the same on me as they do on the models... but the best sales are always online!! argh :( Do you return them by mail if they don't fit?

One year, I got my boyfriend ballstream (it's like this somewhat illegal stream of basketball games so he could watch on his laptop or ps4 -- kind of like NBA League Pass but better). It got taken down because it was illegal LOL but if he watches basketball games often maybe NBA League Pass?

For my boyfriend, I'm saving up for this really nice leather messenger bag for him to use when he goes to work! I saw him eyeing it the other day when he was watching Suits (he loves Mike Ross) hahaha.

:( I wish the best for your sister in law and your brother!! that's very true, it is only four months but I also know he wants to get a full-time offer after the internship. which is super impressive and I would be so proud of all of his hard work... if it is what he wants to do then I should either support him or move on. thank you for your help :)

yeah i agree with you! I am being selfish and I don't want to be a nagger. I think I need some time to decide what I want. Thank you for your advice!
/r/RedPillWomen25/02/16 10:24 PM
1

Yes, the internship doesn't guarantee him a job. usually people who pursue ibanking internships work really hard and want to get a full-time offer afterwards, which is what my boyfriend wants. I don't feel insecure... I'm afraid that he'll be working so much that I won't be able to spend time with him. However, I realize that this is very selfish of me.

Should you choose to stay in this relationship, I think the important things going forward would be to not nag and complain that you never see him and also I agree with you! I'm going to have to try really hard not to complain about not seeing him... sigh but I'm so happy for you that everything worked out! and hearing your personal experiences gives me hope :)))

well-said!!! you make some really great points i never considered before. thank you for your reply :) I'll look into government-related jobs because my mom has one and she gets great benefits like you mentioned. also how you mentioned about career women.. yes! I don't want to be solely identified by my job. thanks again for your insight! :)))

I read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Though it was a bit too spiritual for me, I managed to get the main points for my own use. What I got from the book was that my mind and thoughts are not really "me" unless I identify with them. And by not identifying with them, the thoughts will simply pass through. The problem with my mind and thoughts sometimes is that they bring more negativity than positivity in my life. When I am truly happy and at peace, I notice that I'm truly in the moment, the …

When Dad goes to work, he doesn't do it because he likes working better than beer and video games. Because he's so supremely validated by doing something in the professional world. He does it for money, which is spent on his family. His family also benefits socially when others know that Dad works, has a reputable job, does well, etc., as opposed to having a loser dad who sits around the house in his underwear, which would reflect poorly on the family. Dad does experience tremendous satisfaction…

I've realized my control has started itching up a notch and I want it completely off. I don't want to be a nag. In "Surrendered Wife", it says to just simply state what I want and go with whatever he says without questioning or criticism. He is my captain. He is a man who knows how to decide what is best for us and make it happen. I just need to worry less and keep my mouth shut! haha I need to work on my self-confidence!! His ex is an ex for a reason. He is with me for a reason. His ex is beaut…

I'm really trying to cut down my time wasted on social media (e.g. facebook and instagram). I don't gain any benefits from looking at other girls' photos and comparing myself to them... it just makes me feel awful! Especially creeping on my boyfriend's ex is a HUGE no-no but she's just so pretty :( It's a bad habit I must quit. I've been neglecting my hair a bit as I get headaches from sleeping with wet hair so I've been blowdrying it every night. This led to dry ends and split ends! yikes! I'm …

hahhaha you're so right!!! I never thought about it... how I would have to cook and clean regardless of him or not. Also, thank you for reminding me to relax because I notice that if I don't have my me-time, I get cranky!

thanks so much for bringing this up because after thinking of how my boyfriend contributes in our relationship, I feel more appreciative of him.

I completely agree with this. There is nothing about red pill that says you can't ask for help if you need it. It's about asking for help in the right way, not expecting your partner to read your mind. mmmm yeah I think I subconsciously undermined his workload too which is my fault!

You're right, I do feel like he should be paying more than the 50% but clearly it's not possible in this case. I know now to ask him for help when I need it! Also good point about keeping track of what's fair or not... that's something I need to keep in mind.

I don't have any specific recipes but if you're ever craving asian cuisine, stir-fried rice can be delicious and quick! Especially since at home, you can control the flavour and oil. In addition, stir-fried chicken with onions can be a dish, with steamed or stir-fried veggies as another dish, and steamed rice... that's protein, veggies, and a carb!
