When I was sexually harassed every single person that excused it was a women. They aren’t as innocent as they think. The way they speak about it is just different

Honestly I think the statements are just to vague. “Tell her what she’s wants to hear” could mean SO many things some of which may be coercion while others may be totally innocent

I was agreeing with you. I’m saying it’s a moral thing to do, and while annoying it’s not rapey

I’m a gay man and many times have had guys flex their money to try to impress/attract me. It is absolutely not coercion. Pretty normal to use things like status to try and impress someone

Are you a trans man?

Trans man here, yes I would agree with this. Pre transition everything I did was hyper examined and criticized. And it was often assumed that anything I did was for a man. New shade of lipgloss? I must be trying to impress someone. Engaging in “male” hobbies? I must be trying to impress a guy. I don’t deal with anything like that as a guy. People don’t question what I do and they tend to make me more seriously However, it is lonely. People don’t give me the benefit of the doubt like they used to…

Yeah, it’s not fun. I have found a community of pretty supportive people but it was a long adjustment period, and the people are found I never would have guessed would have become my community…feminists make it seem like cis men are cold hearted, with no compassion or care for their friends. In my experience that couldn’t be further from the truth. I have one close female friend and the rest are men, mostly straight men. They’re much better friends than the women in my life ever were even before…

Just to challenge this a little bit- I don’t think a lot of these guys actually fully believe this or really blame other men. They present it in this way because it’s the only way people will listen. It’s easier to swallow Either that or they’ve been gaslit so much that they’re still blaming themselves It can also be an internal conflict, as many trans men have had bad experiences with cis men before transitioning and therefore still empathize with misandrist women as they understand why they ha…

I’m not the person you asked but I am a trans man and this is not a fan fic in anyway. I can’t tell you how many times I cried in highschool and college because I felt so isolated and alone, especially from women. Most of my friends now are other men and I’m much better for it. I hesitated away from male friendships for years because I was told that men are bad- bad people, bad friends. It was all a lie.

Feminists will never concede to us or believe us. Most of them don’t care about trans people beyond using us as a tool for their own political gain. They only listen to us if we talk about the ways in which presenting as male benefits us. They have no interest in hearing the other side of things- and if we try to bring them up we’re told it’s because we’ve somehow turned into evil misogynists. In some ways being a man is easier. In other ways it’s harder. Misandry is 100% real, and so is misogyn…

Well yes. I’m not just talking about community. I’m talking about romantic partners. Women want 100% of their needs met by you but are often not willing to meet the man’s needs in return whether that by sex or something else. That’s what I meant A prime example of this is how feminists will talk about men complain that their wives never have sex with them but don’t take her out on dates or show romantic gestures so she doesn’t have sex. They’ll claim it’s unreasonable for a man to expect intimac…

Oh yeah . This actually reminds me of something that happened a few years back. Was making plans to be roommates with one of my friends. Turns out that behind my back she was making plans with two of our other friends and then just texted me out of the blue after they already signed a lease. When I told her that was a really mean thing to do and that I was hurt, and that it felt like I was being excluded, she just told me it wasn’t a big deal and that they “didn’t do it on purpose” and told me I…

Omg, yes! So many women are constantly calling us irrational for having feelings about things that they can’t understand. Or not having the same reactions to the same things as them This may be a bit unrelated but I saw a TikTok today where this girl was in a trip with her boyfriend. She was all big smiles and waving into the camera in every clip and he was just kind of standing there. THOUSANDS of comments saying “he doesn’t love you! Break up with him!” Like have you maybe just thought that…I …

100% true. There are a lot of problems that therapy can’t solve. I was in therapy for 4 years and it actually made my mental health significantly worse because I was talking in circles about problems that has no solutions and it felt like my therapist was trying to gaslight me. I’d say something like “my friends are ignoring me” and she would say “are you sure they are? Have you considered x y and x?” And it’s like….no actually I just don’t have the best friends (not now, but at the time). To th…

They don’t even have to pay. Honestly it’s pretty easy to get a hookup in today’s world. I honestly don’t know any young guys that are struggling to get casual sex

Of course sex is still part of it, but it’s not all of it. There are plenty of men who are in relationships and/or have plenty of sex who still feel chronically lonely. Yes, sex is important and there’s nothing wrong with acknowledging that. My point is more so that feminists reduce men’s desire for connection and relationships to just a desire for sex. Of course I want sex in a relationship, but I also want a partner that I feel like will support me in the way that I need whatever that may be. …

Because it’s very very difficult to pass as a cisgender women when you are AMAB. You aren’t going to be viewed as a women just by putting on a dress and makeup. You would have to go through years of HRT and surgery and that’s not a sacrifice most men would be willing to make Also- if you believe in male privilege you could ask why don’t cis women just transition to be men? Well they don’t, obviously. This argument doesn’t really work no matter which side you’re on

They’re 100% convinced that all men want is sex, it’s crazy. Especially when, as you pointed out, they’re the ones that bring it up constantly and not us. For people that claim to be anti gender stereotypes they love to reinforce stereotypes about us

Feminism is extremely popular. Our society becomes more and more matriarchal every day. Men and boys are falling behind and losing support and the majority of society either views this as a good thing or simply doesn’t care at all. If no one calls out some of the false ideas that feminism supports, no change will ever be made. Edit: ah, I see from your post history you’re pretty much just a reactionary troll. No need to engage here

Yep. Of course everyone has to be responsible for their own physical and mental health to a certain extent, but that doesn’t change the need for community. As a man you are expected to always act as a beacon of support for the women in your life but never the other way around

Yes I definitely agree, and this is part of what I was trying to say. Men are expected to carry their burdens alone. We cannot seek any support from the women in our life’s without being told to go to therapy and suck it up. But therapy isn’t a replacement for community.

Unfortunately I’ve found that many feminists only really care about trans people when they can use us as a political pawn. They want to uplift our stories, but only when our stories further their own narrative. They want to use us as “proof” that men can be a certain way- or proof that men and women are treated differently. They’ll often say that we’re “better” than cis men because we were “socialized female” which is really just a woke way of saying they’ll never view us as real men Im cis pass…

Yep. I have honestly never had a problem communicating my feelings to other men, whether that be boyfriends or my friends that are guys. It’s always been women that have a problem with me expressing my emotions. The thing is that I don’t think they ever realize consciously that they’re doing it- they all will swear up and down that they want men to be emotional, open, and honest. But when that actually happens they often don’t respond very well. The reality, I think, is that they only want us to…

I know that my opinion isn’t widely shared here but I do believe that a patriarchy does exist. however is a lot more nuanced then feminists would like to acknowledge Women still benefit from the patriarchy, just in different ways than men do- especially in modern western society where almost all of the systemic patriarchy has been dismantled (women have the same legal rights and opportunities that men do) I could talk at length about this but I’ll just give a couple examples 1) Under a patriarch…

Ok, so this my second account. Came here to comment again because you made this defensive comment and immediately blocked me If I misjudged your post, I'm sorry, that's exactly why I asked for clarification and more specificity from you. All I said was that if you don't give an example fo what you qualify as "wokeness" and where you're seeing it on this sub I'm going to reasonably assume you have an issue with trans people being in this sub at all. But instead of explaining you got defensive and…
