Yea, I feel you too. I will say that while there are a lot of folks who take other people's effort (like giving way) for granted and abuse it, there are tons of folks who genuinely appreciate it . Without ever having taken a tally on numbers of folks who appreciate it compared to those who abuse it, in "my mind" & gut feeling is that there's more folks who genuinely appreciate it. I continue giving way (within ability and reason) for those who appreciate it. I just try to not pay much mind to th…

We make choices to do jobs that end up getting some of us hurt. Seeing a dude with only one legs standing on the bus is get up and let him sit. I've had some very rough work days in my past, but not a one is worse than only having one leg. Just a "for instance".

As far as technicals go, you're spot on. The "guilt trip" or just "giving in" and.doing may happen in my relationship sometimes. Face it, I might not be into taking my pants off right now, but I love my partner and I want them to be happy. I'd consider that an instance where I "gave in" or may have been guilt tripped. Doubt a rape claim of that would ever end in anything other than enriching a couple lawyers. But, it did give me a good idea. Think I might be able to claim getting guilt tripped i…

I'll give Meredith a break. She was totally hammed up at that party. We've all been there Meredith.... It's cool 😎

Could be. Bit no, the type of person who'd engage in the chest bumping for minutes on end like this don't learn even when they receive their just desserts. Sadly those types of people seem to keep doing dumb stuff for the long term.

I can tell some people don't have brains and downvoted. What I tried to explain was the reason why no one hooted and.hollered until he hit her. That's was all. Pretty sure I even explicitly stated she shouldn't have messed with someone she was ready to get into a fight with. Lol I gave absolutely no reason why anyone's actions should have been disregarded.

I mean to be honest, no one is expecting some major damage to occur by the girl acting all fussy. The major damage can occur when a teenaged boy starts fighting. It's just the probability isn't there when the girl "fights" and it's a lot more likely when the guy starts fighting. I guarantee you that everyone would have hooped and hollered if the girl was able to suplex the dude. She can't though so no one paid her much attention. Not excusing her dumb actions. Seriously though, if I'm a deer, wh…

Actually, so far in this thread, you've done nothing but offer a different perspective, logically explain all your thoughts, and truly "reach across the aisle." That's awesome. I think the world becomes a little better every time something like this happens. ...an angel might have got their wings ,☺️

I think the other thing in this case is that there's a power dynamic between coach/player that shouldn't be crossed as well. Same goes with teacher/student or boss/employee. It's definitely unsavory, at the least, even when everyone is well over the age of 18.

I've tried it before. Apparently some animal only eats the "freshest" beans or whatever. It tasted like coffee. I sure did admire the African guy who thought of selling poop and making a mint on it though!

I'll be honest, the stop should have come after the first hit. Didn't look like she was still beating by time his (drunk?) brain registered the action.

Pretty much sums it up. I still think it offers more protection against 1 ideology running amuck, especially compared against a PM type setup where executive & legislative branches are always in the same party. That setup is more efficient but it seems to give too much control to one group. Please, any Civ-guru to comment on that? It's been quite a few years since my last class on governments.

Ahh got you. Yea, unfortunately the big cheese in both Chambers get to pick what their Chambers talks about. Makes it terribly inefficient and is absolutely the norm, no matter which party is in control.

He can't bring the impeachment charges to a vote until the House delivers the charges to the Senate. Currently, the House is holding onto the charges while they try to ensure a "proper" (read: in their party's favor) trial will be conducted by the Senate.

A sick day, very frequently, is not a paid day off. Rather, a sick day is an excused abcense which doesn't reflect poorly at all against your work record. Paid time off (PTO) is what you're talking about. People generally accrue PTO hours each check, but they're frequently given X amount of sick days to use throughout the year.

I'm the same way at my work too, but I don't work at a lower wage job (I suspect you're the same). A relative of mine manages quite a few front line cashier's working a lot closer to minimum wage and I know their employer requires a doctor's note for an absence (or else you get more points towards you, X# of points equals write up/firing/etc).

I guess the House minority party shouldn't have showed up too then? They had an equally useless time as the House voted on one completely useless count of impeachment (obstruction). There is a thing called executive privilege. There case affirming Trump's use of it is about to got the SC too. Sounds like he wasn't obstructing anything (unless the SC takes the case and decides he did).

A doctor's note is required just about everywhere to get your absence "excused". Also, when medical has you out of work for X amount of days then you go on short term disability which usually pays only a percentage of your base salary.

Because everyone knows how a fight will go between a guy and a girl the majority of the time. Let's prevent someone from getting the crap beat out of them, even when they deserve it. Still, seeing the deliverence of karma tingles.
