| 4 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.Well that was the goal. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 09:15 PM |
| -6 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question. She;s got some pretty inflammatory ideas, that's for sure. I don't think that totally diminishes her good ideas though, and especially not the good ideas of feminism as a whole. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 09:07 PM |
| -4 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question. What does that mean? It sounds a bit sexist to me. Should men try to 'break up the female space'? I think so. With an understanding that women have been opressed in, what I consider, more violent and deadly ways than men. Which is to say, if you are with a group of women and they are objectifying men (making them success objects, for example), absolutely state your point about the sexist nature of that sort of behavior. I do think that women need women-only spaces at this point in history though… | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 09:05 PM |
| 3 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I see that now. I suppose r/feminism has some misguided beliefs about men's rights activists as well. :) | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:53 PM |
| 3 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I like the idea of treating all cases with the same 'innocent until proven guilty' concept. Unfortunately, a lot of real rape would then go unpunished. It seems like you have to either sway to one side or the other, given the lack of witnesses. It's a tough call. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:48 PM |

| 2 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I see you've repeated this once or twice. You could call it lack of trust, sorry you feel bad about it, and you can't say that some of the non-rapist men don't know this feeling either, but that's how it is these days, we have to watch what we eat, how much we exercise, our gas mileage, who we have sex with, and we learn from both our own and other people's mistakes. Because I'm not psychic. Neither are the women who fell pray to rapists, no one is. I guess I never tried to extend the same untru… | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:43 PM |
| 4 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.Great point. I had never thought about the effects of false-rape charges on the alleged perpetrators before. There does seem to be a bit of a quick jump to the side of the woman in the accusation, at least by some people. I'm not so sure it is as across-the-board as some in here might believe though. But I recognize that the effects can be very negative whether or not a conviction is given. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:41 PM |
| -1 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I like almost all of those ideas. Out of curiosity, how would you go about reducing rape? My activism has me 'breaking up the male space', encouraging my peers to act in ways they wish, rather than ways that fit their sex-role, and education about consent. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:37 PM |
| 5 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.Wow. That's totally not what it means to me. I mean radical in the sense of 'root', as in I believe that all societies so far have at their root a systemic oppression of both basic sexes based upon non-existant biological imperatives. I love men! | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:33 PM |
| 2 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I see. So you could say that the same 'healthy level of distrust' is shown in here for women as is usually reserved for men. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:24 PM |
| -8 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I'm also happy to announce that I am both. Although I think feminism neatly encompasses most of the ideas of men's issues. I used to just be a men's issues activist. But then I read Andrea Dworkin | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:23 PM |
| 0 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question. And would you then say that malicious rape reports happen more often than inch-of-life beatings? | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:17 PM |
| -2 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question. That's really strange to me, as I see a lot of similarity in radical feminism and men's issues activism. As I said, I'm not trying to argue. But I admit I'm perplexed. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:16 PM |
| 1 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.Ah, the victim-blaming begins. Let's turn that around. "Why would a woman sleep with anyone she thought would be capable of beating her?" See what I did there? That makes sense. Something still feels weird about it though. So the idea might be said to be that men are as often the targets of false rape accusations as women are the targets of rape? So what do you think could be done to lower the amount of false rape reports? I ask because I think that a large part of feminist activism is reducing … | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:14 PM |
| 0 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I'm soliciting the opinions of men's rights activists. If you are here, I assume you either are one or interested in learning about it. Just as all sexes can be feminists, all sexes can be men's issues activists. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:06 PM |
| 10 | New version of "Just slap her"?I'm 28. If your peers think it's okay to commit violence for something that you don't think warrents it, I would suggest that it might not be a universal thing, but more something about your peer group. I'd also suggest getting new friends :) But, FWIW, telling a woman with whom you're not sexing that her ass or tits looks amazing seems pretty crass to me. I'm not saying it deserves a ballkick, but some communication about how that person doesn't appreciate being spoken to in that manner might b… | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:04 PM |
| -4 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question. But, do you think a woman is more likely to accuse rape to get out of a cab fare than a man is likely to just sort of run away or hit the cabbie? I mean, I'm sure all those things have happened. Why focus on one kind of violent crime and not the others? | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:00 PM |
| -3 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.Out of curiosity, why do you start with stating your sex? | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 07:56 PM |
| 3 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question.I don't understand: is this directed at my question? | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 07:55 PM |
| -10 | Radical feminist here. Not looking to argue. Have a question. It really seems to me that you have rather a low opinion of women. Hm. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 07:55 PM |
| 9 | New version of "Just slap her"?Any kind of violence against someone who was not acting violently is pretty reprehensible. I've never heard of this 'kick a dude in the balls for being a jerk' thing, but I'm a bit older than you perhaps. Both men and women can be assholes or idiots. Both men and women are quite able to justify their behavior based on some perceived normative condition of the other sex. That doesn't make it realistic though, just foolish. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 07:52 PM |
