Well the whole post is mute because they didn't even redact all the female victims. This post is a lie.

There's a lot for different people that went to protest this weekend. You are painting with a broad brush about a wide swaths of people.

It should be a source of inspiration for the men here that so many women are so desperate because some of those players are super ugly. If these weird looking men can be players, anyone can. And I live in a major metropolitan area. You sound like a Republican talking about trickle down economics.

I’m always astonished at how deplorable conditions for men keep getting. Men continue to vote again their own interests. It's no surprise things are getting worse for them.

This is still a self imposed victim hood that isn't real. You are just using buzzwords to make it seem like you are being oppressed in some vague way. You aren't.
/r/MensRights16/06/25 09:20 PM

Progressive rhetoric does draw attention and criticism to social conventions of masculinity People having equal rights isn't a criticism of men. This is another bad right wing propaganda tactic. You hear it all the time. It's time to call out bullshit when you see it.

You're reaching really far to make yourself into the victim you desperately want to be. The right is about to sell away the country for a cut to the rich. Normal Right wing politicans hate normal Americans and their actions show it. They are far worse for Americans than anything the Normal left wing politicans do. Be honest and ditch this self-imposed victim hood for your niche group that is just meant to divide you.

No but if he posts a link to his website about it I'm not clicking on it. I never discredited the study. I just think using Milo's website as a source for the study is a bad idea.

Protesting a website is equivalent to crying like a baby? I see a lot of subs that talk about protesting certain things. Does that make them cry babies too?

All of those quotes are from his formal apology right? None of it from the actual interview. There's a timeline here and those quotes are from the fall out and him having to backpedal to save face.

"Those older men help the young boys to discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love." Sounds like a larger conclusion to me and not someone talking about personal experience. We said "boys" which is plural. He also said them another word that refers to a larger group. Doesn't really sound like someone talking ONLY about their own experience. Otherwise it would say me and I.

Those older men help the young boys to discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love. I guess he just thinks that kids need sexual mentors. IMO thats disgusting. If teenager wanna fuck each other go at it. We dont need adults teaching kids to fuck each other... atleast not like Milo describes it.

That quote wasn't the first thing I had hear of Milo. My opinion is much more complex. He only came to his current conclusion after the video surfaced and this all got blown up. That's the context that's needed.
/r/MensRights14/07/17 02:09 AM

I have no problem with the argument though. Posting stuff from Milo isn't going to help MRA. It just looks like we are tied to the alt right.
/r/MensRights14/07/17 02:05 AM

Pretty sure this study was already posted yesterday. OP is just karma whoring and riding Milo's website while he does it.
/r/MensRights14/07/17 02:03 AM

A lot of people apology and say they regretted things. Would you be ok if I started posting studies from Kathy Griffen's website. I mean she openly regretted what she did and apologized for it. For the record I wouldn't link her for the same reasons, I don't support those kind of people.

Statutory rape is not a victimless crime. Mostif not all16 years still have a lot of maturing and growing to do. Study show the brain doesnt even fully develope until you're in your early twenties.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 11:39 PM

All I'm saying is use better sources. Milo is obviously controversial. If you want to expand the MRA movement we need to separate ourselves from the Alt right and stand on our own.

Notice how HRC has nothing to do with this post until people started bringing up the rape case. Milo is actually part of this post. When you don't know how to argue just bring up some old politician that has nothing to do with the content of the post. Edit: If HRC had this same study on her website I wouldn't want it posted here either.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 10:57 PM

We're talking about Hillary Clinton We were talking about Milo until people stated deflecting to HRC. No surprise though. She is far worse an abuser of women then Trump is. Ha ok

You are putting a lot of words in my mouth. Which is the exact thing your claiming I'm doing.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 10:02 PM

Going to his website is what I'm protesting. I'm fine with the study I just refuse to give his website a click. If you wanna call that a bias fine. I'll call it the more accurate term a protest.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 09:59 PM

What you call a bias I call a protest.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 09:54 PM

/r/MensRights13/07/17 09:43 PM

/r/MensRights13/07/17 09:42 PM

/r/MensRights13/07/17 09:35 PM

He was saying some of those relationships are consensual. I agree but that doesn't make it ok. It's still statutory rape. Your brain isnt fully developed until well in your 20s and thats why its illegal in the states. nowhere does he advocate that 14 should be the age of consent anywhere. I never said he did say that.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 08:24 PM

Mens rights are important to me and linking Milo's website hurts more than helps. That was my original point and its still true IMO.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 08:13 PM
1

I don't think men who rape girls into comas should go free. Period. Our justice system determined he didn't. Just like in a thousand other cases. Innocent till proven guilty is a major tenant of the American judicial system. If you dont like it then you should probably move cause I don't think its gonna change anytime soon. This is also a big part of the MRA movement. Innocent till proven guilty in a court of law. Not the court of public opinion.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 08:11 PM
2

Of course people have always hated him. No. This is a pretty bold claim. People have not always hated Milo.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 08:03 PM
2

So saying anything critical about someone that was once a victim is now victim blaming? Im criticizing his comments that he gave years after he was a victim. If I said something like "well he shouldn't have been around older men" then that would be victim blaming. If a gun shot victim says something moronic about gun violence then I say those comments are inaccurate am I victim blaming? No we are talking about the issue, not the instance. Do you understand the difference now?
/r/MensRights13/07/17 08:00 PM
1

"Those older men help the young boys to discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love." So he is saying its a benefit to the victim. That's condoning IMO. If you dont see it the same then fine.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:48 PM
1

You mischaracterizing me. I dont like him cause he condones statutory rape. He thinks it could be beneficial to the victim cause his opinion is that this was the case for him. I never said he condones rape. Your putting words in my mouth.

So the defendent doesn't deserve a lawyer that will defend them in court?
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:32 PM
1

Yes but we were talking about those ten seconds. So I still dont think its cherry picking. Regardless of all this if this sub wants to be taken seriously we should avoid people and websites like Milo. It doesn't help advance our cause. It alienates people and we can find better sources.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:31 PM
3

I agree. Milo is just a professional troll and I would like to see this sub taken more seriously. Otherwise we will never advance our issues. There's better more reputable sources to use.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:26 PM
-4

more than one person has always hated him. Yeah I'm gonna need evidence or its a nothingburger. You can't just throw out random claims like this. In this case, though, it appears you are just trolling rather than being sincere. How does it make since to generalize people in a sub that is asking for equal treatment? It goes against this subs general idea.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:24 PM
1

I provided a link. If you want more context then go find it. Statutory rape should be treated the same regargless of if its guy/guy or girl/guy or girl/girl. This is something MRAs should agree on.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:22 PM

How am I cherrypicking when I quoted his full sentances and proveided a sourcem
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:19 PM
-2

Well one was seeking justice for their client, while the other was saying that statutory rape could be beneficial to the adolescence. If you don't like lawyers working to defend men in rape cases this probably isn't the sub for you.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 07:17 PM

Agreed. Which wont help mens rights but it will further alienate people to tge issues.

I said nothing of what your were talking about. On the other hand Milo did make comments about love between men and boys. So not really the same. Here are his comments incase you forgot. "In the homosexual world particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men are sort coming-of-age relationships," said Yiannopoulos. "Those older men help the young boys to discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love." One of the hosts said what Y…
/r/MensRights13/07/17 06:05 PM

The group that was being generalized is People who have always hated him Edit: heres the generalization if you missed it. those same people hate everyone who contributes to this sub. We can do better than this. In fact if the MRA movement wants to grow we have to do better or we won't be taken seriously.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 05:56 PM
15

I'm not saying the study isnt accurate. I'd just like to see us use better sources. If this sub wants to grow the MRA movement then we need to avoid people like Milo unless he is the one doing the survey, which he wasn't. He just found something that fits his agenda so he could post a new story on his website.

Your making a lot of generalizations there. Do you think a group that wants equal treatment for all should be making generalizations about people? Edit: I love when people downvote but don't provide a retort .
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:59 PM
-10

But by not speaking out against he is essentially condoning it.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:57 PM

He's the source for the post and is getting traffic cause of this post. We should just link the actually study.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:42 PM

I just don't want to give the guy any clicks. We could have just posted the study and talked about the data. Instead here we are talking about a professional troll that brings little to society as a whole.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:34 PM

Yeah I think we agree but you tried to equate participating in the legal system (HRC) with condoning illegal behavior(Milo). There just not the same. Everyone deserves justice.
/r/MensRights13/07/17 04:23 PM

Though I agree having sex with underage people is fucked up. I think you meant to say illegal. If straight men are held to that standard then it should apply to all.

Yeah I refuse to click on that link. Thank you for replying with the study.

IIRC It wasnt even a client but someone a judge had appointed her to defend. I think she was a public servent at the time. I dont think she was saying it was ok either by defending that person. Just participating in the judicial system.
