Say whatever you want but show interest, ''you should'' is not demonstrating interest enough and is not showing you are outcoem independant, because by saying so you seem to fear rejection. However, if you trully mean ''you should'', just say that. What do you trully want? are you translating it into words properly? That's it. I was a loner in hs almost by choice but when I look back at it, there are plenty of girls who just wait for you to talk to them, it's 100% sure. If you use to be friendly with everybody, and avoid reacting to people who put you down, talking to anybody will be normal at this point.
