Well, pub is short for public house. They tend to have a more welcoming atmosphere. Although, having been to my fair share of English pubs, think the English need to get of their high horse. Most of their beers are bland, especially compared to the stuff being made in America these days. Their pubs are about as inviting add most American ones as well. On the other hand, an Irish pub is hands down one of the best drinking experiences that you can have.

I don't believe that Pride is necessarily a bad thing. But it is the one trait that requires the most self-control. Humility, it's opposite can be quite destructive on it's own, by tearing down the self-esteem of those that practice that virtue. Absolutely correct! The authors' actually do discuss this in the book. Example: after the sinking of the lusitania, it took another 2 years for America to become involved in ww1, and afterwards the ordinary lives of Americans were more or less the same. There is always a solution. But the idea that individual actions can make society do a 180 is pretty improbable. You have to allow society to figure this out on their own. If you think that this seems hopeless, then you'd be right for the near future. But I prefer to take a long term approach to things like this. You don't have to do that. This sub got to where it was because of these types of inaccurate comments. Hell, the biggest subscriber jump we had was after a post on "why the red pill will kill you inside." This sub is portrayed as cartoonishly evil. When people come here to see the evil unicorn, they have to dig through so many quality posts that many people sub right there. Let them spew their garbage. If they never made TRP so controversial in the first place we wouldn't be as successful.

I think this really hits it. When you look at marble statues of the greeks and romans, they are pretty jacked.
