This is unnecessary. She's not disparaging men in any way. If she's working as a mechanic, great. I personally wouldn't trust her to fix my car; unless my mechanic looked like a well worn piece of leather, they're no good to me. More power to her. It's not like she created a male patriarchal straw man that was getting in the way of her being a mechanic. She did what she set out to do. Yes, the movies have delivered because they need to be huge earners. The TV shows are trying to do what Trek did in the 70s and 80s. All that ground breaking stuff of interracial couples, same sex couples etc. But that was actually ground breaking. These days, it's just forced.

No time to die was perfectly balanced. Bad example. No, the MCU isn't quite as bad as the rest of Hollywood is because they know they need to make billions every year out of that franchise. That's unilateral thinking. You can be both. Depends on the situation. Not at once, obviously. The protagonist in most movies is a tough badass, but he has to become vulnerable when his love interest is kidnapped. But the thing is the damsel doesn't have to be useless and keep crying. He/she can take measures to protect themselves, wait for the perfect moment to attack. I don't mind women rescuing men, as long as its done convincingly.
