True. I should say "most dating coaches suck." There are some that don't. But even the ones that lean towards becoming an authentic person as the solution to one's dating woes...they're still really heavy on mechanics and try to teach mechanics to their students.

Well, no. Saying "becoming a confident man" doesn't fix anything. I agree with you about that. But becoming a confident man - or, more accurately, an authentic man - does fix things. A lot of things. When you're comfortable with your authentic self, you will do naturally what people try to teach you how to do mechanically.

This isn't a matter of technique. It's not a matter of what you should or shouldn't do in these specific situations. It's a matter of who you are as a person. Read the book No More Mr. Nice Guy. Don't give it the o "maybe another time." She doesn't want to go out with you a different time. If she did, and timing was the only issue, she'd have said so upon declining your request. Leave her alone. This is why it's rare for you to come across girls who would even give you a maybe. Because you don't detach from girls who aren't interested.

This is good to hear for me. I have a date tomorrow with a girl. I talked to her on the phone and her conversation style was abysmal. Couldn't stand being on the phone with her for even 10 minutes.
