I strongly support men's rights and I see no issue with this. It's just a reality that girls tend to get shut down in these kinds of classes when they're mixed. Parents who want to encourage their girls to learn coding have every right to decide what kind of learning environment they want to expose their child to. Yep, that's exactly what got me thinking about it. I'm not advocating a position, but I do wonder if men's refusal to play the victim explains why the movement hasn't gained much traction as a conventional social justice movement. It's one reason why I am starting to think that the 'ra ra' activist model of feminism is not a good fit for the men's rights movement. It should be focused on self improvement, strength, mutual support and solidarity - not bitching about your plight.

I feel as if part of the problem is that 'expressing emotions' is always defined in terms of how women express emotions, ie talking to friends and family, support networks etc. Unfortunately most people, women and men included, find it creepy for men to express emotions in that fashion.
