Don’t ghost them, you’re right about that, that’s super shitty. You still might make them angry (or they could be hurt and express it through anger) but I was in a similar position and just said something along the lines of “hey, I wasn’t expecting this but I met someone and can’t continue seeing other people. I wasn’t planning on it happening and I wouldn’t have been actively dating if I was.” Most women were appreciative of the honesty. However, they were all mid twenties to thirties, so that …

Oh boy, welcome to class son. Snapchat is an amazing tool, especially if you've never met in person and are chatting it up via Tinder or some other online site. First off, you can put out an image of exactly who you are (or who you'd like to be, fake it til' you make it, if "who you are" is pizza and Jack Daniels by yourself at 3am, maybe don't go that far) without coming on too strong. Story mode is your go to here. If she's considering a date at all (and if you have met in person, which is wha…

Same boat here with the late response, work and life. Hows things? Can't say for sure without knowing the details, but constant fighting sucks. I've been on both ends, had relationships where I was unhappy with myself and lashing out on the ones I loved (I have no idea why it's wired into a lot of people to do this), recently apologized to an ex from several years ago. Also been on the side where I'm doing pretty good and getting blown out for no reason. Hope things are well!

Good stuff and nice to see some hard-science backing it up. For me personally, the light touch on the arm was hands down my biggest game changer.

Sidenote though, I did very much enjoy "Models," by Mark Manson, and Magic Bullets has some good advice. But, I think some people get too focused on the literature, studying, and becoming "perfect," so I would say just take what works and search for things that you feel you need help improving on.

No problem. That's the great part about communities like these. You can be completely open without worrying about how it might change the way those close to you think of you. Also, if I can help anyone learn from my mistakes, I'll feel good about myself, so I'm glad I've reached someone, thank you for sharing that with me. As far as the sadness goes, for me it was telling me that I want a partnership beyond casual sex and the type of person I wanted it with. I hadn't been in a relationship for s…

Honestly, mainly the sidebar here and searching /r/seduction. The biggest things for me were kino, eyecontact, bodylanguage, and improving my confidence (realizing things like: "If she's out on a date with you, it means she's already open to the idea of being with you in one way or another", where before I would second guess myself even then. I never was part of a real life group.

Logic? There is none. But, like you said, the ball's in her court. I had a woman do this to me, last minute said something like, "hey, something came up, can't make it, but I'll make it up to you." I assumed she wasn't into me and wrote it off, couple days later she hits me up and invites me over for dinner. Sometimes life really does get in the way and it's that simple, if she's a quality woman and wants to see you, she'll realize that you've made the effort and it's up to her now. But, if she'…

Miraculous? No. A good, long, hard look at myself and lots of work towards being who I wanted to be, with lots of help on here and other places? Yes. As far as the number goes, I keep a list, and, as I told another redditor in here in the interest of being honest about how many women I had been with in a short time, one of my partners introduced my to group-sex, so that helped "pad" my numbers, so to speak (in a way that wasn't me going out and doing anything beyond getting together with people …

Yep, exactly, and good for you. I think some people thought I was encouraging being completely passive, which I didn't mean to at all. You can still work on self-improvement, you just have certain obstacles now which will become assets in the near future and you should look at what you've done/are doing as an accomplishment, not judge your whole life to this point by your successes with women, which is what I see a lot of hard workers, such as yourself, doing. I want to be clear of course and sa…

Hmm, I would say you can't really improve physically too much, besides weightloss and increasing your cardio capacity, or unless there's an underlying problem like ED or PE, but your dick is your dick and that's about it. What I have improved on is reading women, communication, and learning about how women get pleasure from sex. Reading women is big because you can figure out when something's working and that will obviously be an advantage. Like when you're going down on her and hit the right sp…

Fair enough. I appreciate the discussion and your well-written reply instead of "FUCK YOU DUMBASS OP!!!" I agree with you, and think I might not have been clear enough about what I was saying. My main point that I was trying to convey wasn't to just be passive and accept life as it is given to you, but more as a way so people who were maybe struggling and feeling like failures could look back on their life and not solely judge it based on romantic success, but realize that they have actually had…

Yeah man, you should be fine as long as you KEEP GOING. You've learned what you don't like, being overweight and insecure, and I imagine with the weight loss you've had, you have seen your confidence increase. I was awful at text/online dating, still struggle with text, but the texting guides on the sidebar here helped me greatly. Exactly! I was always like: "I can't afford a suit, every guy needs a suit, guess I'm fucked!" Then, looking at what's popular and doesn't go out of fashion, it's just the classics. Well-fitting Levi's, a henley shirt, a nice leather jacket, and some boots, top it off with a men's cut from a good barber, and you're set! Also, the boots and leather jacket are by far the most expensive, but I've had a pair of 300 dollar Chippewa boots for maybe 6 years now, so when you look at it like that, spendi…

Alright man, I realize that I was lucky in the genetic lottery to have a foundation to work with, but I am in the middle of the scale. I'm definitely not one of those guys who is just beautiful, I gain weight easily if I don't watch what I eat, and I certainly wasn't doing myself any favors by the way I dressed. The guys I knew in college (I went to a private liberal arts college in the midwest, paid for it with scholarship, financial aid, and busting my ass over summers, lots of kids with money there though) who said that came from wealthy families. Thanks for taking the time to read it. Oh man, no matter what mindset you have or how many things you read, it still hurts, all you can do with mindset and information is try and minimize the pain and maximize your recovery time. First off, don't drink. When I got divorced I spent a week drunk and it was pathetic. I was happy to learn my then wife felt like I did and we were splitting, but everyone else (parents especially, they were great to me and helped me a lot, but definitely were like "are…

Yeah, it was fun. Had to put it out there though as I think when people hear I've slept with 90 women, I have to be honest and admit that it wasn't all me doing pickup, a good chunk (20?) was me being involved with people who were into group play, which is pretty interesting and unique to meet men and women who are that secure with themselves, each other, and their needs. Hmm...definitely not most of them. I would say maybe 20%? And then, like you said, the competition can be tougher in a city L…

Good man, I'm so glad. Yeah, I just remember how I felt when I was around that age, no money, no career, just graduated college, living at home after I got divorced, I felt pretty worthless and I didn't realize how much I had going on that I could build off of. It still would have made living at home with my folks a drag (nothing can take the bitterness out of swallowing that frog), but it would have helped me realize that I wasn't worthless, I was just living and constantly improving, even if I…

You're ahead of me when I was your age! The dressing part was huge for me. Didn't even spend a lot of money or get clothes that didn't fit my lifestyle (one good piece of advice I got was "don't buy a suit if it doesn't fit your lifestyle, just spend a little more on a few nice items as opposed to a lot on one thing you'll never wear or a bunch of low-quality crap."). Yeah, it would be interesting to see what it was like to go out as a girl, but I wonder if the downside to that is how many sleazy-dudes are trying to get in your pants on any given night! Dude, yeah, you gotta get that out of your system, it will happen when the time is right. It's good that you're aware it's validation, and think about that, but don't deny it now, that was a big part of my curve, especially being out of recent long-term monogamous relationships, realizing that there's a whole …

Oh I know man, it worked out so so good. My ex and I don't make a point to hang out, but her, her husband, and I share many mutual friends, and we can hang and chill if we're at the same gathering. While I didn't pick a good long term partner, I take solace in the fact that I at least picked a good person to have a crappy marriage with.

No, I still said you gotta go out there and get them, just makes it 10x easier if you have a foundation. That dude still needs to work on himself and his foundation. Edit: Again, this goes back to the question "would you want to date you?". I can't imagine this guy would look in the mirror and think "Yep, I'd want to be with someone like me."

Good man! Glad to hear it resonated with you, reading your story I can't help but feel we've had similar experiences. As far as getting up to 90 goes, I got on tinder when it was hot about a year and a half ago and that was helpful, as well as sites like OkCupid. I also met a woman who was into group sex, so she would call me if she wanted to have fun with friends or a couple or two, so not all of my number is from cold approaches. Education/career (whether or not you go to a four year college is unimportant, trade school is good, but also just being an educated human being and finding a career that fulfills you is very important), financial independence (including budgeting and living within your means), becoming a well-rounded person (having hobbies and interests outside of work).

Oh man, so much time. I know how it feels, you've got a long way to go and it can seem longer at times, but just remember, it really does get better. Have fun now and don't obsess over this stuff. One thing that the media/internet can do, especially when you're younger, is make it seem like everyone's getting laid but you, but honestly, they're not. The amount of dudes crushing it in highschool and college is pretty small compared to the rest of the male population. Also, one thing I've noticed,…

Thank you for reading it and thanks for the compliment. Hmm, that's a tough question, I'm still kind of coming out of the woods, so to speak, and realizing that I am a desirable partner is still kind of new, so I don't really know what the long-term holds for sure. Yeah, that's what I want to drive home. Some dudes do have it figured out when they're young. I mean, some guys just have that natural charisma, others have a family with money (not to say that money is everything, but it's nice to have, especially when you're younger, focused on school, and can't work that much and/or the money you make working is going to support your education), and then there's the rest of us. Yep, me and my buddy were talking about this recently. I try, but still do it sometimes. We were laughing about how when you're not that into a girl and blow her off, don't really make time for her, etc. they keep coming back for more, and when you do like one and go out of your way for her, more often than not, they'll disappear. The book Models helped me a lot with this. I think you can find a happy balance of not being a "nice" guy, but still being a nice person. Like, I like being good to wo…

Yep. It's really the only way. I had a friend who, upon finding out I was seeing a beautiful woman we see around work, asked me "how I did it". I turned to him and laughingly told him: "because I've been rejected by more women than you have ever spoken to." My early years of dating were an unmitigated disaster. From the ages of 18-26 I had only slept with 8 women and been in 3 serious relationships that I didn't really know if I wanted, but that's what I did, I had sex then moved to dating. Afte…

Agreed. Also, one thing I noticed is that once I went from having almost no skills with women to having sex with a lot of women, I still treated sex as a scare commodity, like I wouldn't say no, because "sex". After learning how to date, how to flirt, etc. I would just do it to keep practicing, and viewing sex as the goal, I would keep going until I got to the goal. Now I try and view having fun as the goal, and if sex is a part of it, great, but if there's no fun, I'd just rather pass on the se…

To add to that, I used to worry about why somethings worked for me but others didn't, but then I saw some good advice here. All of things are ideas, take what works for you and what doesn't and use it to develop your own. Think of it like being a musician. John Mayer is influenced by BB King, but isn't a BB King impersonator. He has taken elements of King's style, other musicians' styles whom influenced him, and left elements out to develop his own unique style which has provided him with succes…

Social value is relevant to your interests/circles. What do you do that's a part of who you are? A world-class astronomy professor is going to have minimal social value at a rock concert, but tons in a circle that attracts women interested in science.

Honestly I've had a lot better results (and saved a lot of money) and hookups with an initial, short date during the day. Usually I'll give myself a time constraint of about an hour or two, take them out to fro-yo, and then walk around browsing some thrift stores near bye. Feels a lot more fun and light than sitting next to each other at a bar, a lot easier to bounce around, and I think the fact that you're not really in a place to go back to your place for sex lowers defenses and builds rapport…

Have you tried searching for some goofy gifs? That option had been working wonders for me, Joey from friends going "how you doin?" has been pretty well received. Keep it light and fun. Edit: if doing this it can ramp it up if you tie it into her profile. I noticed a girl wearing a Ramones shirt so I sent a Ramones gif that said "Hey ho! Let's go!" Then typed "out for a drink!" That was well received. Also, if she's got some good profile information and actually put time into that, you can work w…

Inner/outer are directly linked in my opinion. I think people used to have this idea that you could be a fat turd who just rolled out of bed and seduction would let you score (and maybe if you were and extremely well oiled machine, it could work), but speaking from personal experience, having gotten in shape, paid more attention to posture, and just taken some time to dress nicer and do my hair, I can't help but feel more confident. Combining that with some inner development and getting the righ…

Take what works for you and what doesn't from both schools of thought. Just sticking with Manson would be harder for a beginner I think because like you said, it's less of a step-by-step guide, but he's got a lot of good stuff to say about self-improvement. The canned stuff is fun because it gives you some instant gratification and techniques to work with, but doesn't give a lot of guidance for long-term personal development. So if you're just starting, do both, then you can also start internali…

A little bit of advice for text game, I send "wrong" texts a lot like: "We should bang out later." "Oh man, I mean HANG out later! Where were you on that one auto correct?" Gives her a good opportunity to respond as she sees fit and escalate things without being overly "slutty". If she's into you she'll probably be like: "What, so you don't want to bang? ;)"

What I don't understand about men and women, is (unless you're bisexual) most people exclusively date one gender, so of course all your shitty romantic experiences will be because of your preferred gender, doesn't mean they're all bad, just that you're have a sexual preference (and maybe bad taste).

Good call. I actually wrote something down about that but kind of forgot it. Without looking it up now, I seem to recall what you're saying being very important. Good work man, good report. The next part is where I always have a hard time, if there's an extended break in contact and how to maintain interest. I do great when we're both in town and we can see each other a few times, sometimes sleep together on the first date, but if not, build enough interest to get a second date pretty quickly (usually). I always tend to err on the side of playing it aloof if there's an unavoidable break in contact, but, obviously, I think I go too far. I would think of t…

I think it's a fine line between looks and charisma. I'm a solid 7, an 8 on a good day, so I have picked up girls just because they thought I was cute, but that's pretty rare. Typically my looks can get me in the door, but they're not going to seal the deal by themselves. I do always have to chuckle when some gorgeous guy is like "just go up and start talking to girls by saying hi, my name is so and so!"

I could never do it. I have tried to reduce the amount of time I spend looking at porn/jerking off, but jerking off is so necessary for me. Nothing's worse than banging some terrible chick or hooking up with your ex because you were so horny you couldn't see straight and then that immediate regret the moment you bust. Saved myself a lot of trouble by taking care of business myself, if you can handle it, props to you, but I gotta shake it out to clear my head sometimes.

The biggest thing I've taken away from being a follower of modern pickup is that it's not magic. After reading "The Game" I used to think pickup was magic psychological "hacks" to make women sleep with you, but now I realize all pickup really does is to teach you to be the type of person someone would want to be with (well-rounded, fit, dressed well) and talk to people without coming off as strange. It could be "game" the dudes running, but if that game consists of him leading a lifestyle that m…

YES. It gets so much better. The only women I hooked up with prior to being around 25 I was in serious relationships with. I think I had been with 8 women by the time I was about 24 and dated 3 of them for at least two years. I had a hard time because I was constantly in college, living with my parents, and didn't have a lot of money, but it was worth it to build the foundation. 18 year olds are in a weird place. They're horny, but they are still figuring themselves out. I wouldn't think too hard on it, it's probably not your. I went on a date and slept with an 18 year old when I was 26 and the difference was apparent. She was into it, then nothing. I can only speculate, but I think she had some guilt issues. I've said it before, but when a guy asked me how I've been so successful I told him "because I've been rejected by more women than you've ever spoken to."

I've had good luck with tinder, but it's definitely a numbers game. It used to piss me off, but a lot of the girls flake or just stop talking with you, just keep at it. As far as getting a hookup only vibe across, unless they mention it I steer away from that conversation. If asked point blank I'll say something like: "I'm not looking for a serious relationship, but I actually want to hang out with people, not just bang them." I find even if women are just looking to hookup, any mention of that …

Exactly. Also depends on what I'm looking for, if one's gf material, I might put in the extra time, but I'm certainly not going to break my balls for someone I don't really click with that well. Also, I notice experience makes a big difference. Being 27 I typically date women ages 20-35. It's been a really interesting age to contrast the differences. Even though there are exceptions to every rule, I notice that women typically are more reserved and take more time to open up to you the closer the…

I feel like a lot of guys want to be magic and able to successfully fuck any type of girl the first night out, and, in my experience, this just isn't the case. After a while I got better at reading the situation and judging which girls would willingly jump into bed with me, which might need some convincing, and which would require more time. Also, if you're somewhat of a decent person, if she's not ready or giving more than slight resistance (which is normal, due to women being afraid of being v…

Good stuff, and important. I had gotten so into the k-close as a means of escalation that I didn't realize the power holding back could have. I mean, you still have to initiate touch, but you don't have to make everything happen all at once.

I went through a period where I got kind of depressed because I stopped having feelings for women beyond wanting to fuck them. Now I'm at a point where I can enjoy their company as a fellow human being as well as sex, it's a lot nicer.

This has been my experience as well. Sucks when you start getting into the movie. I hooked up with a girl after being invited in for a movie, and as we were having sex I could hear the plot picking up, kept trying to listen to what was happening, ha.

Kind of a bummer actually. I don't know what her unresolved issues are, but we kept dating for a period, and I kept being straight-forward with her. But she wouldn't make up her mind. Would go for days without responding to me, then come back strong, then disappear again. It was sad, but I moved on. I gave her ample opportunities to decide whether she wanted to pursue a relationship or just have casual sex and she straddled the fence, she'd put one toe in the water, then jump out. I treated her …

They might not be in a "relationship", but depending on their dynamic it could be pretty not-ok to be handing out numbers. I don't know what your experiences are, but I've had some connections with women where even though we hadn't had "the talk" yet, it probably wasn't a good idea for me to be out scamming on chicks. Campuses especially are small, if she liked the dude or was trying to make something serious happens she was probably guarding her reputation. Every situation is different though, …

Yeah, a woman that straight-forward is rare. Also, she showed him that she's willing to be loyal if she's in a relationship even if someone she finds attractive approaches her. It'd be different if she strung him along, but it sounds like she's a woman of character.

I think it's different situation to situation. If she had just straight up played games with you or blown you off I would have applauded your actions, but, I'm going to say you might have blown a good opportunity this time. Look at it this way, she was totally honest with you. She didn't fuck with your head, she straight up told you that she was kind of with someone which is a huge demonstration of honesty, both towards you and the person she was involved with. She wasn't willing to play games w…

Yes, but it's different now and I think it's healthier. Back before I was getting laid regularly with different women I would get attached to anyone who would fuck me. I turned 23 and had only been with 8 women. Now I'm 27, my number is in the 60's, and I have plenty of options when it comes to getting laid. When I get oneitis now it's not because I'm just sticking with whoever's willing to have sex with me, it's because I have all these options and for some reason one of the women stands head a…

Yeah man, good for you for realizing this shit early, took me a long time to get there. If something more happens down the road, then good for you, but if you remain friends and gain a wing-woman, that could potentially yield more results, but beyond results (which is how we've been trained to look at this, and that's part of the reason we got into this, to increase our results, so that's not a bad thing, necessarily), you have a badass friend!

Exactly! There you go, you could have gone the traditional route and been like: "she wants the d, she's playing hard to get, there's some strategy to get in her pants." And you know what? There might be. Let's put that out there. There might be some way you could expertly manipulate her to get her to fuck you. But is it worth it? Chances are she would regret it afterwards and you wouldn't be able to keep up the charade. Fucking women has been hammered into us as the end all be all (and a lot of …

Couldn't agree more. It's way more hurtful at first to show someone your true self and have them reject you than it is to have them reject your image. I'm new to the honest-self game, but I get the impression that in the long run it will be better because you will realize that someone rejecting your true-self will actually save you a lot of suffering in the long run.

Haha, it was mainly a joke. The "trigger warning" was tongue in cheek, but I also wanted to get people ready for having a lot of ideas that came from Manson's teachings dropped on them. I've gotten the impression that people are getting weary of some of his fanboys (myself included) taking to the streets singing his praises.

Yep. I was so worried about whether or not someone would fuck me just for the sake of fucking that I didn't do this for a long time versus being concerned over how much we could enjoy each other's company.

I would recommend giving it another try. I appreciate it for how it goes beyond using sex as validation. It's funny, because I didn't have a problem sleeping with the woman in question, but all my confusion is relating to the next step. I've been so focused on the initial lay for so long that I'm pretty good at that aspect, but when I find myself looking for a relationship that fulfills my personal needs more I'm in new territory.

Thanks, I feel like I'm advertising for Manson at this point, but having recently read Models, it's changed my perspective on a lot of things, mostly I appreciate his emphasis on the idea that it's ok not to fuck someone because they're not right for you. As in, you might be able to sleep with a girl if you play her games, but why would you want to waste your time on her? Just express honesty and the women who are receptive will be of a higher caliber, more fun in the short term, and less troubl…

Thanks. I feel the same way you do, Mark Manson's Models really helped me put things in perspective. I used to approach seduction with the mindset that it was a tool I could use to sleep with as many women as possible. While I yielded some results, I had a lot of unfulfilling experiences. I used to jump through a lot of hoops and play a lot of games to get laid, I would stress over texts and what I should do next, spending hours reading up on what to do/what course of action to take. Models real…

You're engaging in a pattern of blaming. Instead of looking at yourself and what you could be doing better, you're blaming women for "liking frat guys more than you." Aside from some amount of looks (which are important, but the reason we're here is because we know that there's a lot more to it), you need to look at why these guys are getting laid. Rape aside (rape is bad, most frat guys agree with that, so let's not stereotype), why do the "frat guys" pull more women than you? It's not because …

My pleasure man, I'm glad you found my post helpful. It was really awkward for me at first, but it's becoming more natural. I actually shook a girl's hand upon meeting her for the first time once, haha. I notice a lot of it applying to men too, not in a sexual way, but in a human-interaction way. I've noticed vast improvements in every area of my life.

You have the potential to be in a good place and come around as a more well-rounded person. I'll try and break it down the best I can, giving you what worked for me and what didn't. To start with, I got married to the fourth girl I had sex with, had sex with three more women after I got divorced, and then dated the eight woman I had sex with for two years after that. We broke up when I was about 24. I'm 27 now, so this has been taken me about three years to get where I am now. All the women I ha…

I upvoted you because, yeah, it is cheap. It's a trick. It's not a bad trick, but it's a trick none the less. This is a newer road for me and I started with some basic stuff, canned whatevers, but have been working my way towards being more honest with women and myself. It's still interesting for me to test different things, but lately I prefer just to be confident and straight up. Instead of playing bullshit games, I'd rather be like: "I had fun with you tonight, let's hang out again soon." edi…

I absolutely know where you're coming from. I've gotten shot down so many times at bars and such that I'm immune to it, but with this last one, we went on a couple dates and had sex, which, up until recently, was a form of validation for me. I used to worry about my looks and overall attractiveness because I had slept with so few girls up until I got single at about 23 and then started bettering myself and learning about seduction. Now I'm getting over that, because I've realized that I've slept…

Of course I don't owe her anything, but, in my opinion, it's all about the delivery. I could have said, "hey, my bad, can I buy you a beer to make up for it?" She could still say "yes", but there could also be an awkward pause where she's like: "wellllll....", or she could flat out say "no." Throwing in the word "owe" and making it a statement instead of a question makes it seem more definite and assertive, and I feel like there's less of a chance for her to think it over, it's like saying: "we'…

I agree with you on the problem of the seduction community being that it's more geared towards getting laid than sustaining a relationship. I've mentioned it on /r/askseddit, but since reading up on seduction (I'm not a hardcore PUA, there's just a lot of useful advice) I've increased the amount of women I've slept with, but I have trouble maintaining a meaningful connection. I'm kind of in the opposite side of the spectrum than you are. I work as a firefighter (cool job, pay is low), play in a …

Yeah, I'm honestly considering putting it in my into my bag of tricks and trying it intentionally. Some of my biggest discoveries have come from accidents. One of the things seduction taught me is that you don't need to be a liar, but that the "truth" is what you make it. Like if you have a date with a girl, and you're following up via text, you can shoot her one that says something like "Yeah man, we had fun, she's a cool chick, and pretty cute too." And then be like "whoops, that was for my bu…
