We started out with nonhormonal IUD (worked great btw). Then when we decided to have kids, I shit you not she was knocked up on the first attempt based on the Dr's conception estimates. After kid 1, we just went with tracking her schedule and refraining as we both were ok if we had another kid but weren't actively pursuing it. After kid 2 showed up, I got snipped. Best decision of my sex life so far, truthfully.

That is one way to make sure the buck weighs in more back at the barn "Shit dude, how da fuck did that little spike tip 200lbs?!!" "Well, Buck Shot, Slug, Buck Shot, Slug, Buck Shot, Slug...you know the rest..."

I prefer a middling-power ballistics centerfire caliber, such as a .270 for venison. High velocity, great range, minimal collateral damage and without all the buckshot scattered in your steaks.

Def +1 on being positive and refraining from bitching about their mom to the kids. I also think it is very valid for you to make sure the kids know they can tell their mom to not talk about you to them, if that is what they wish. That is what my dad did in the divorce, and though my mom never respected our wishes and to this day bad mouths him as much as possible, none of the 5 kids buy her crap anymore and few of us still talk to her. Instead, we have rebuilt or maintained strong connections to…

I have to work on that. I easily dominate conversations, stemming from residual cravings for validation.

I've said it to you before, I'll say it again. She needs drugs, not therapy. It is a chemical imbalance in her brain. You call and set the appointment with her regular physician; if she doesn't have one, find one. You arrange for the kids to go somewhere before/during the appointment, drop them off and then tell her you love her, but you need your wife back. Make it absolutely clear that you are keeping the kids, have already found a good daycare option/etc, and she will need to go move in with …

In my experience, having fairly wiry/thick body hair, you have to be careful about when you do the trim job. If you can sync your trimming to her red phase she'll thank you. Right after a trim the remaining hairs are basically mini knives that stab her a thousand times with each thrust. Maybe she's into that...but not my girl. It takes a couple days after a trim for the ends to dull down, conditioner in the shower helps big time. As for the dick fade trimming, I've got seriously squatchy legs, a…

If hormonal bc is a concern for you have her look into getting a copper IUD. it isn't hormone based so it doesn't screw her up, but the copper kills sperm. Pretty effective with few downsides. Some women get severe cramping during their cycle, my wife didn't. The only downside was the string/fishing line thing poking my dick on deep thrusts. They can trim it up a lot, but depending on both of your genital proportions there are limits to being able to avoid that.

So I waited for a minute, asking around to find out who was using the bench press. And after research turned negative I removed his towel and loaded down one side of the weights. This right here says he was the one that should have backed off. You approached an empty piece of equipment, asked if anybody was using it...and crickets. I'd have just calmly explained that to him and then either offered to spot him after you were done if he did the same for you, asked for advice on your form, etc. The…

totally understood. In my case, I was very alpha when my wife and I met, and hit the beta wall hard after "I do". Popped out a planned kid with several complications (all good now, but it was rough) with severe ppd, all the while being a total beta trying to "do the right thing" to help, then an accidental follow up pregnancy just as she started maybe to get a little back to normal tanked things hard. After 3 weeks of baby #2 (similar complications, but way less severe than baby #1) I started to…

I can see that /u/[deleted], and I own that I have much to learn still and I did not convey my point well on this aspect. However, the sidebar reading are pretty consistent that 100% full alpha 24/7 is going to burn out just about any relationship quickly, and that is where finding the balance in Alpha/beta to appropriately captain your family is critical. So, although the OP (and myself and others) still need more than a mere sprinkling of Alpha on our life to achieve that balance, when your SO…

Of course the RP saves the man, and often by doing so it saves the marriage. The "M" in the title should clue you in on that focus of the subreddit. Dread/MMSLP/etc all have as an end goal (not the sole goal, but one of many) that you can find a satisfying sexual partner--and it might not be your wife, but maybe (hopefully even) it is. Hence the "see if you can use the RP to improve and save your marriage." Not "it WILL" but to see if you as the man can improve yourself and enjoy the positive co…

Sure, why the hell bother with a couple years to put yourself in your best possible SMV while your wife and mother of your kids gets medical help that she genuinely needs, because, you know the sex won't be mindblowing. Fuck the rest of the aspects of a marriage, right? All that matters is that she gets down like a dog in heat... Or maybe, I dunno, per basically every book in the sidebar when she has a legit medical problem you work on yourself and make sure she is working on her problem and see…

My wife had to take a couple different questionnaire sets each appointment for anxiety/depression. Basically "This week how often have you felt... Never 1-2x 2-5x +5" etc. Then the end score would show what range of "normal, slight, moderate, severe" her anxiety/depression was. It isn't terribly precise, but it definitely provided my wife with a "proof" that it wasn't just her failing and her fault. If the OBGYN doesn't have this type of deal (call a head to ask) then her general physician shoul…

dude, the therapy is bullshit and doesn't work. The drugs do--but the bitch is they take time, like 4-8 weeks to kick in. During the initial period (2nd time around as the first time my wife stopped just as they meds started working) I all but forced the meds down her throat every night. Then, they started working and now she is on top of it and we have about a 160degree turn around in her handling the kids, home, self, etc. Postpartum is a bastard that doesn't truly go away on its own until the…

Dude, it isn't counseling she needs. She needs medication. Been there, done that. I could have literally wrote your post 1.5 years ago. Tried doing a therapist but no real results. After 2 kids in a short period of time, your wife's hormones are so completely out of whack and there is not much she can actually do about it (we have a 4yo and a 2yo, so similar age gap). She will probably blame herself for not being "normal" and that it is "her fault" which only makes it worse. But you just make it…

If your kids are young (at least one under ~5yrs) postpartum could be a serious Alphablock. One thing to keep in mind based on my experience so far, Dread just doesn't work if she needs medical help. Depression/Anxiety/Postpartum are serious issues and took my wife a couple years to admit she even had a problem, and then another couple years to really get a fix started. That turning inwards and blaming herself sounds just like my wife pre-medication--and even still it pokes through sometimes. Un…

50/100 on pushups so far today, combined with glutes/full back workout feeling great. Book started yesterday. Wife walking funny this morning, so far all good. Telling my wife today that I'm going to be fully open about leaving our religious cesspool--her parent's opinion be damned. Cardboard box fort and a movie tonight, followed by bed time for the kiddos. Got a few fun games for the wife and I and depending on solar activity, I'll have the truck loaded up with blankets, warm clothes, wood for…

Odds are if you crush it being the awesome dad with the kids tonight, she'll find it difficult to maintain the level of anger she has allowing you to ignore her bitchfit with extra ease. Depending on what Dread Level you are at/progressing to amping up your dad game might make her fear the kids wanting to be with you and not her, motivating her to please you in return.

It's chest day, but I'm at 20/100 on my pushups with time allotted in my work schedule to do 4 more sets of 20 every 1.5 hrs. I'm already 50% into NMMNG and 90% into SGM. I'll have a new book picked by end of business and this will be an enjoyment book. I've pulled myself and family out of the oppressive religion we were all raised in. My extended family knows, but not hers. This is my Everest and I will climb it as I do not tolerate falsehood. Fap free on point and holding strong. Wife's gonna …

This is really good advice. At only 9 weeks post delivery her hormones are on such a rollercoaster there is ZERO point in trying to game her or even take anything she says seriously. Odds are in 3 years she will not remember any of this in the slightest. Seriously, women get a total brainwipe of the absolute Hell they both undergo and subject those of us around them to. I think being on top of her postpartum depression/anxiety is a big part of being her Alpha, and odds are she will both deny and…

A couple ones that haven't been mentioned but are really good for a boy to read: A Day No Pigs Would Die and it's sequel A Part of the Sky (Farm kid learning the tough realities of life, deep stuff in there really) John Dennis Fitzgerald has a great series that is very entertaining following a group of boys/brothers in a small Utah rural community circa 1900. The series is "The Great Brain" and is full of fist fights, adventures, and understanding what it means to be a man and take responsibilit…

You need a hobby. You have two choices, and these are available everywhere: Hunting Fishing AND Hunting Do both, but if not do hunting and not fishing. Don't know where to start? Find the state where you live's department of wildlife/fish/game/whatever and read. Find a hunter's education course, enroll and attend--not online, do the class in person. This gets you out of the house and provides opportunity to meet real people that already kill stuff for fun. After the course, buy a gun or five and…

At 8months post delivery, I think exploring if she has postpartum issues is very important in how you run your MAP. Just like SSRI drugs create real obstacles to sex drive, post partum is way more common and denied by those suffering from it. My marriage has been basically a deadroom made worse by postpartum depression and anxiety. I'm working on myself all the while my wife is getting the treatment she needs. Sounds like you have the physical side in hand for yourself, but postpartum might be a…
