I'm a guy, went to a work thing organised by a couple gay dudes, we ended up in a gay club. Confidence boosted me to hell and also went home with a chick that was there too. Pulled a lass in a gay club was my massive confidence "yeah I did that" for a good while after that lol

Easy answer is "it's complicated" lol We created the UK, kept our legal system, inability of Westminster/English Law to overrule Scots Law. The law lords have 300 years of experience telling Westminster No, so Holyrood stepping on their toes can get the same result. Wanting a Law in, Lawyers don't want it, but the lawyers are needed to write the actual law, becomes a headscratcher lol

As a father, separated from the mother, although both are crap, it's better here with our system. Some things totally normal in England, like using Child Support to buy your house, is child financial abuse up here. Every less incentive to use kids as cash cows is a positive

Think that was something else, the juryless trials plus bits like dropping 15 person juries to 12, had the courts cracking up. Basically if the actual judges don't want to do it, who is doing it 🤷 It's a hangover of the multiple groups that jumped on the Independence side in the Referendum, and worked into the SNP. There's been multiple screw ups with all that.

A lot of the issues are similar, but it's dependant on the laws in each. Major issues in some countries, non-existant in others, due to their legal structure. That's where my being Scottish and mentioning England's weird laws come in. As King Charlie said, shared legal history, magna carta blah blah blah. Total alien to us in Scotland as it's nothing to with our system. From an "outside" perspective, England and the US are frighteningly similar. We look at both as weird lol. Kids I've seen some …

A massive amount of the modern "red pill" is a grift. And a lot of men's issues are influenced by the US. The US and the UK are miles apart on a lot of things. Damn, the UK is far apart on a lot of things, Scotland where I am is always having issues by being attached to England and their funny laws lol

Been a 50/50 dad for a decade and a half. Watching the way systems treat 2 parents with the exact same childcare amounts, blew my mind. In the UK, it's dependant on whoever claims "child benefit". The disparity is absolutely nuts. Claimant gets a better standard of living than a normal full time worker. Non-claimant doesn't have a kid. Only one can claim

As soon as you see anything referencing Scotland, you need to understand Women's Aid and other groups in Scotland, have been absolutely scatty since the Controlling Coercive Abuse screw up they did. Fought for the law, realised it was gender neutral, total flip to fighting against the law they proposed and got in. They've been absolutely nuts ever since it

I'd have liked to see the difference in Scotland Vs UK. Especially since Uni of Glasgow. Half the respondents being students, they might have missed a lot of the shenanigans the Feminists did though, which was pre-pandemic

I'm in the UK. The 80's were a turning point tbh. Divorces exploded and less of us that grew up then have any interest in it. Parents married early 80's, and both their kids aren't 🤷 I'm single and my sister lives with her man, together 18ish years and unmarried, but house kids the full thing. Some do marry, but it's the minority tbh

👆 I started a degree in the mid-00's and it was lucky if the class was 10% male. I switched to computing which was the other way round lol Tapped out totally tbh and left Uni. Mid-00's was "everyone can go to Uni" peak, and the teaching was shocking. High school level some of it at best 🤦

I basically became mgtow after a disaster relationship ending in 2012. Missed the whole YouTube thing in the few years after it, whilst sorting my life out myself. Only really became aware it was a "thing" when it was pretty much wiped from the internet

Feminisms largely borne out of England and the USA, and basically built from the English Law mindset. Simply put it doesn't work here. Kids being kids and under their parents till 18 when they come of age, isn't a thing here. For example 12 is the age of financial maturity. 12 they need to go to a bank and open, have their own bank account, which they can also have their child support money into. This is the age of control of their own money, but in Scots Law child support is always their proper…

It's impossible and pointless to figure out tbh. I use my own example. Myself and ex, 1 kid, 50/50 (no child support UK). Same job, same hourly rate, I on full time, she on part time + govt benefits/welfare due to the kid. She had lower wages, yet financially better off than myself. A wage gap statistic 🤷

Feminist groups focus on DV/DA and women being the Victims, as it is a massive money earner for their many many Organisations. When the Coercive and Controlling La s were introduced in Scotland, they went absolutely Nuts, because they applied to everyone. It's expected by them that laws will be passed giving women preferential treatment

Nah, I've been like this all my days near enough. 40 now, but I was born and bred into it, in the UK working class with the mindset of "whatever you want, you have to work for" 🤷 Always seen the warning signs with Politics for example, with Party's coming bearing gifts or freebies. My mindset screams "nothing is free, what are they up to ?🤔" Also makes us look funny at people supporting "free stuff" in our lives, that didn't crawl up from the working class. DNA test. Find out why she doesn't have custody of the kid she already had. The kid came to visit and was basically ignored 😳 I'd think about talking to the other dad as there sounds like something going on with her. Plus if he has custody due to authorities taking the kid etc, they could be preparing for that again. You need info, and likely plenty of money, so start saving

Was it because you hate women or were you trying to figure out how to make the woman you love happy again? Started as MRA, Mens Rights, because we don't have any. Just have a kid in the UK and that will slap you in the face. Shifted to MGTOW as MRA is largely a lost cause. Laws in my country also makes it ridiculous to cohabitate or marry, cementing me to just step away 🤷

Nurseries in the UK. Bare minimum wages and managers, that are also women, bullying their "underlings" at every turn. £1000 sign-on, which likely needs repaid if you quit in X amount of time, is a joke. Would be paid better, without the drama, even working in retail 😂

As said, I'm 40, but I bought my home at 34, before prices and rents went crazy over the last 5 years. Financially, that, plus certain lifestyle changes, like working local, a 5 min walk from home, save commuting costs + time, I don't even bother having a car now, cutting out the take-away food, even though McDonald's can be seen from my window lol. "Hours worked" as a measuring tool, is just dishonest. It's laughable to anyone that's ever had a job. We've all worked somewhere with someone that can spend a lot of time looking busy, but doing nothing, and conversely someone on the same "hours used" that is ran into the ground 🤷 "hours used" is laughable as a measuring stick. Not every hour is equally as valuable. It's why we have different wage structures 🤷

I had a kid in 2010, that started it all 🤷 Honestly I felt in a bubble, as I'd grown up UK working class, both my grans had worked, all the women through the families had worked. Whole family gets "mucked in" and does what needs done. Solidified the view that Feminism is Middle-Class based, and not at all related to my life, my worldview, or any way in which I was brought up. As a man with a kid, it's worse for a guy with a kid than a childless guy 😂 We got someone to protect, we more often than not, aren't going to tolerate shenanigans. Plus society subsidises single-mons in a host of ways it doesn't single dads. Single dad may even technically be entitled to the same govt support, but accessing it is another story altogether. Single dads are therefore more self-reliant (in general). Govt support for a single-mons ends when you live together. Means you are gonna be …

Feminism promotes sexism and oppression 🤷 I'm Scottish. In Scotland, Feminism fought for Laws (pretty much a carbon copy of law's already in place in England). Due to the different legal systems and how our laws here are, the Laws Feminism fought for, would equally be in place for Women, Men, and Children. From fighting FOR the laws, upon the realisation it would cover all, they started fighting AGAINST the laws, that they originally fought for, because they would be equal 🤦 The mask was well an…

I almost bought a home like that with my future ex, thankfully didn't, but bought by myself when I was free and clear, only a 2 bed but it's just myself and 1 kid so all's good. Scotland here, we remained reasonable till the pandemic, then prices skyrocketed. Thankfully I'd already bought it before then. I basically went my Own Way after a breakup over a decade ago 🤷 Had a kid but it went straight into 50/50 so no fights there. Any more and she would have had to cut down on the new found social life, so it wasn't a fight. Did a crazy amount of hookups, got bored of it, happy with the peace in my own home. I will never cohabitate. The laws changed here about that time, anyone moves in and they can essentially take a share of my home, that'll never happen. Only woman to get my home is the daughter…

It's about the kids rights 👍 This is what stuck a spanner in the works when they attempted to "copy'n'paste" some of this into Scotland's Law's. Kids here have rights baked into the legal system. It's why there's lots of talk, but theyr petrified to do anything, and mess it up again

In the UK, this isn't just a problem with the left, it's a problem with them all. The last Labour govt, Tony Blair + Gordon Brown, essentially destroyed the labour market. And following that we had the Conservative Govt that couldn't do anything, as to fix the issues would end in being voted out. To give an idea, I entered the workforce in the early 2000's. Basically, Scotland and England formed the UK, but kept their own Legal Systems. Then we made the Empire, but the basis for the countries in the empires Legal Systems stemmed from English Law. Straight guys have kids 🤷 There's no bigger eye-opener that the systems not built by you, or for you, than a guy having a kid. It opened my own eyes in a big way. The red pill is that if you look at it now. Looking at it how it started, it was essentially a fight for equal rights. It became an insurmountable fight so it splintered into half a dozen different things. Largely "the fights not going to be won, just do xyz". What people talk of the red pill nowadays is Tate stuff, which is a million miles away from what it actually was/is.

The best child support is being there to support your child. It's used, often in conjunction with government programs, to subside or wholly pay for baby factories, to stop the birth rate being in total collapse. The birth rate is bad just now, and that's with billions in subsidy, imagine it being gone.

Self identifying as a Feminist, puts me off listening to or supporting that person. Feminism has never supported equal rights. And I will never support Feminism. I fight against it the majority of the time, just due to how sexist it is. As soon as someone identifies as a Feminist, there's no point talking. A specific law that caused a storm in Scotland at the time. The Controlling and Coercive Abuse law. The English version is fine to them, as kids are kids till theyr 18 essentially. Kids in Scotland screw that up, essentially are their own legal entity from birth. Raft of laws and rights afforded to them that don't exist down England's way. Millennial here from the UK. The 90's came on the back of the 80's here, which were very much "the rights of the individual". From the Left and the Right. Labour won an election on the worst turnout in a long time, lucky if they win the next one tbh. Of course, I am Scottish, I am very much outside looking in on the "Anglosphere". We're attached to them, but ain't part of it thankfully, too much to go into on that one lol.

I'm Working Class (UK). Left wing political parties lost us a long time ago. Make it harder to live. Force people onto Benefits (Welfare) to survive. Promise more Benefits (Welfare) if elected. Left-Wing Parties in the UK. Asan example,if living dependant on Benefits, you don't qualify for a mortgage. Mortgage costs less than Rent. Govt will "Help" pay your rent. Left has people down, and kept down So people have left them. Look at Labour in the UK.

When I've seen this before it's been totally shifty and disingenuous how they came to those "stats". It's taking info from rape centres etc and swirling it about till they get a headline. 1 woman goes in, in a relationship with a guy they want to leave, encounters are non-consensual, add up the encounters, feed them in as anonymous reports, that's the amount of women. So say 1 woman reports 100 incidences from her relationship, that's 100 reports made, that's 100 women that have reported it. Ske…

As a UK working class guy...... The working class don't and never have, given two craps about the gender wars 🤷 Feminism was driven by the upper class, not the working class. Working class women survived in the same mess the working class men did. And it's the same now. The left have been mixing with the Feminist activists too long, and I see daily examples of the working class eviscerating the "left". Left/Right is a mess. Working class hear gender war nonsense and thing people are idiots.

Male Advocacy isn't popular because we've had decades of it being fought against/downplayed. I take the Erin Pizzey example. Domestic abuse safe house open to all, helped by all. Feminism cleared out the male victims and male helpers, and the woman that started it. And that's the 70's It was an even keel at the start, but men and women fighting the same thing didn't align with that activist groups ideology. Cue decades of damage to everyone else, whilst one group grew in influence and wealth. We…

Feminism picks and chooses their fights, if any group under the sun is looking for the same rights they have. The differences between what is said Publicly and what is done privately or, quite often, in government, legal circles, everywhere they have power, are frightening to witness.

It's been done for decades tbh. The main problem is, as they found a home in "the left" of politics, sometimes the left is in power, so govt systems, laws etc end up the same. Laws and systems for me, not for thee. Snowball effect since it started decades ago.

UK/Scotland. All the organisations that supported the Controlling and Coercive Abuse Laws when they put them into England, did a reverse flip and fought against them when it came to Scotland. Scotland and England have separate Legal Systems. England it was focused on DV between partners. Scotland due to the legal system, it includes the kid/s. Feminism and the Working Class have never been friends. Source, I'm working class, long line of working class women in family and surrounding, and no-one listens to that nonsense. The old movie "Oliver" a 1968 film from a Dickens novel. The Feminist was the Bankers wife, obviously didn't work, the other women scraped by like the rest of us. Privileged and Bored, they need something to make a scene about 🤷 There isn't a more apt depiction of Feminism to be found, than that movie.

In my personal opinion, it is largely true but also is largely self inflicted 🤷 At 39 I've been with enough women, and something that's remained a constant is that boy do they make a mess 😂 The amounts of times I've told exes to "clean as you go" instead of letting the place become a dump before having to clean it. Alimony isn't really a thing here. They prefer just going for assets for a few reasons. If a couple cohabitate and have a kid, they want the house. You can't use "child support" to gain a mortgage here. So if can't use the income for a house, just give them the house 🤷 Causes many issues when they try to work around things.

Everything you said. I've said the same thing for a long time. The only exception is that I live in a legal jurisdiction, that is eroding marriage, so that unmarried couples aren't far off the same "risk". Basically, I'm never cohabitating. They can go after your house the same as if married.

Decades of Feminism moulding the narratives in many issues, and turning the issues into massive money earners for their institutions, including those that work there. Delve into the Women's shelters racket, and see the money printing machine that is, and you can see why talking about men suffering the same issues, threatens the money flow. Where did you get the "most drop out of high school or college to become NEET's ,not apprentices". NEET's make up 12% ish, so the vast majority are doing something. Certainly not the vast majority being NEET that I've seen. And it's speculative because it's my own predictions of future events. As I always say now, wait for the debt disparity issues to take its toll on dating and relationships. More women going to University and the debt that ensues, men are falling back on the trades which tend to be cheaper/study while you work. The "Controlling and Coercive Behaviour" elements (which they fought to be implemented) could be used by kids/other parents, with a criminal charge and jail time attached. This is the "padding of the stats" that became known in the UK. Best advice I can give. I've seen it and since you are 17 be careful of the switch flipping. ie Turn 18, adult, you are the man of the house now, but mainly in regards to paying for stuff. Doubt very much their treatment will change. I've seen it happen, many times. Seen kids turn 18, get a job, and essentially paying the household bills. One of my ex gf's even was one of them, 2 sisters, once both were 18, they paid all the bills. Her sis moved out, my gf was to pay more to make it up. They got…

Sadly, that's likely all the council will do. Change some words around on a website. Councils are all about the money, and creaming off as much from the benefits system as they can squeeze out of it. You can have a kid 50/50 and whatever one gets the child benefit, gets the red carpet rolled out for them, the other one, don't even bother. I was in that situation, and it was like talking to a brick wall. Child Benefit means all the benefits. And the council wants some of that Housing Benefit. Nor…

Exactly as I saw with the case on my other comment. UK but it was Scotland so it's the PF up here, not the CPS. Pushing the flimsiest of cases, even cases with all the evidence pointing to Innocence, through to trial. An utter waste of time and money, public money. At the time of the changes to the Legal Aid rules down south, there was a lot more cases in front of the CPS. Some areas went up 1600% as soon as DV was made necessary for legal aid in family court. Courts are swamped dealing with all…

Isn't a surprise. Had a friend go through the ringer, charged with R. Got arrested, full 9 yards, while his phone was locked in evidence with 100% proof of innocence. Judge said the words "if it was up to me, you'd be the one in the dock" when all her lies and the evidence was presented. Such solid evidence, it should have been a straight charge on her at the time it was reported tbh. Stuffs wild, has been for a few years. Makes you careful about situations you may be in. But as I've saw, even w…

F4J have created such a mess, that no-one want's to touch any father's rights group in the UK with a bargepole. They were largely the first to get noticed, and screwed it up for the rest. Became the Crazy poster-child for father's that the other side can point at and go "see, theyr nuts". Scamming skint desperate father's out of their money, is just the icing on the cake. Despicable organisation.

Easiest answer is go on Facebook, see the crapshow that's the F4J account. And go on pretty much any other father's group (UK based) and just mention them 😂. Utterly despised, and you'l get some good stories about them.

Tbh they do bring laws onto the books, have been for decades. It's a unique perspective being from Scotland. In the UK but with our unique and protected legal system, that's totally different and at odds with the English system, and tbh the US/Canada that's basically took theirs as a basis. Watching laws sweep across, go in in the UK then Feminist groups / feminist lawyers try to copy/paste it into Scots Law, and causes untold shenanigans. Last one was the coercive control laws, it got to Scotla…

Go back to the Salmond days, Scotland was fighting it out with London. That's why we went "Free Uni", higher educated workforce and a lot cheaper cost wise. We had investment coming here that was beating London. Better jobs, better taxes, less paid out of taxes. The current SNP has went to hell in a handbasket, but the potential is there. The New-Labourites that joined during the Indyref has screwed it all up

The terrible thing America did was take too much of English Law as a base when it was formed. The UK, Scotland and England, wildy seperate legal systems, and easy as pie to see where the US got it's inspiration from. 12 person Juries in both, Scotland it's 15. Guilty / Not Guilty in both, Scotland add in Not Proven. And this is the very very basics. Scotland can sit and watch both and see a lot of the same stuff going on. Similar happened to me. Top down approach kicked in, staff standards dropped massively whilst as did pay and benefits. Hire 3 incompetents versus 2 competent. Every day becomes a series of ticking off checklists, all responsibilities were stripped away. Becomes mind-numbing, extremely mind-numbing. In the UK, lots of applications have a questionaire at the end for *diversity". Everyone knows how to play it now. I've been Bi on them for decades now. It's well know that they "can't discriminate" but I guarantee it bumps you up the list. Seen it on job inductions, 50/50 split women or gay guys. Not a single straight guy in say a dozen recruits. And that was in a pretty balanced workplace as it already was.

Talks a lot of sense, interspersed with some proper facepalm moments. Can't figure him out. As he says himself, he's "very careful with what he says". Believe most of what he says is tailored to his audience. When he was in the UK extolling the virtues of the English Common Law system and its impact on the world. Very very similar. Checked out of the relationship, post natal depression which she would never admit to or get to the doc about, which she admitted one time it was to stop me taking the kid away. Had a total mess of 2 years after having the kid, till we broke up. As soon as we broke up though, she took it as a green light to re-live her teen/20's years, party, party, party. Always going to be on the back foot, unless you start your own with friends you have already made tbh. You are looking at doing an activity in your free time, trying to avoid the demographic with the greatest amount of free time, which are 30/40 year old women. Married men are too busy working. Single men are either actively going to avoid it, or are going to do same as the women, quickly snapped up and so lose their free time. Start your own, or pick something that has start up costs. Sad thing is, the systems that allow 50/50 and still requiring child support, is likely why 50/50 got as far as it has. The UK is the opposite. 50/50 is still far away, because 50/50 already means no child support. If 50/50 gets in here, support dries up overnight

Depending on where you live, a "low-paying entry level job" is all you need. It's the blue-pill that's the problem. Often, you only need more money if a woman's in your life. No financial drain, it's relatively easy to just survive. And the extra time opens up more opportunities for side hustles or hobbies. If the basics are taken care of, it's up to you.

Most people are sitting watching it hit the fan with a big bowl of popcorn. It's at the point that to identify as a feminist is close to being identified as a bigot against trans rights. The original instigators of public shaming, being publicly shamed. Popcorn time. Then there's the whole "it's a middle class thing". The left have wholesale left…

Just goes back to men and women's general life choices / direction. Women with no education or University education, generally want kids, and don't want to work more than bare minimum/part-time/at all, once they have kids. Education isn't a factor in this. It's the factor for indebtedness. Gives 10/15 yrs before 40 is on the horizon, must have kids time, to repay all of the student loans. Often it's enjoying the wages and life, loans pushed back, before kids come along. And husbands paying them …

Tbh at 36 also , it sounds like too much effort for me. I do have a kid though, so likely seen in the "been through the mill, so leave him alone" group. People know what I think, don't even get questioned on it. Remember feminism is a minority. Most women know a guy, family member that's been screwed. Most agree with me tbh. Mgtow or versions of it, seem to be fairly normal, so need to hide it or act a certain way in public is minimal to nil. Scotland (UK) so it's a western country.

Yea options there. Just I have a kid here, and a pretty decent life anyway, so don't bother looking into stuff I can't do. Well can move abroad etc when kids older if I wanted but got one kid now, I'm done and totally out of the game lol. Scotland is weird and is a bit of an outlier. The USA has a lot of the same child support rubbish as England, IE it's the parents till the kids 18. The UK was formed with Scotland and England, both kept their own legal systems, but seems to be everywhere the UK…

Part of why I got out of the relationship with baby-mamma not so badly, was not getting married. Marital assets, becomes a fight, and the guy always comes out bad. My relationship ended and didn't buy a house till after it, so no splitting that. UK is also dependant on which jurisdiction. Scotland's got some mad rules on splitting assets if you cohabitate (hence why I never will), but child support is different too. Child support is legally the kids money, can claim it themselves at 12, mom can'…

Any dude in the UK can procreate as many sprogs as he wants if he wants to. Daddy 's child support money, is the vast majority of the time, a lot less than Govt money (benefits). Child support is just a cherry on top of a big-ass government funded cake. Every guys a walking target, broke or top 1%,10% whatever. The richer guys have more ability to hide it anyway

Tbh sounds like he was an idiot. Plenty guys in the UK do this and don't get hammered. Representing himself in court and rambling nonsense is likely what did him. And anyway, she wins 1 battle but is losing the war. Eldest kid is 12 so obviously went to live with dad, others could very easily follow in a couple years or less. He already has the maintenance service after her for the 12yr old. Safe to say her money train is being derailed

Totally agree, nothing gets fixed, but a whole lot of stuffs gonna screw up. We watched it happen 20yrs ago over here. Once it starts, it nigh on impossible to stop. People get dependant on it, even Companies, Charities, Local Government, all have their angles to squeeze out some cash. Descended into a screwed up mess here, don't envy any places trying the same and looking at the same effects we had to live through

Women as a whole many be the biggest beneficiaries, but it's a subsection of them which are the drain of society. Other women that work, finding out where their money is going, goes one of two ways. "Girl Power" or their unholy wrath brought upon the lazy. Men "Go their Own Way" or stick their head in the sand ignoring the problem. Women are better as social creatures to mess the system up, start groups and movements etc. Kinda why the system is messed up as it is. Happily step out of the system…

I see less men willing to withdraw, as the sexual marketplace is more open. Tbh MGTOW has a lot of Incels hiding in it, and a whiff of female attention will have plenty full simp mode. And not even counting the hormone filled straight outta high school guys that will get baby trapped, or smash n Dash n single momma's got the Govt to pay for it
/r/MGTOW224/05/21 02:45 PM

1 single mum in the UK, uses the full tax amount collected from 4 £20k workers (probably $30k). We've seen this over here. You all got a mess incoming. And side issues too. Housings gonna get a hell of a lot more expensive as women living alone with kids make more than with kids dad there. Living apart, double the housing need. Supply and demand rules, it's gonna get messy
/r/MGTOW224/05/21 02:08 PM

Nope. Had the opposite effect in the UK. Govt pays the child support so no need to go for the top earning guys any more. Every broke dude is gonna get more attention. Govt is gonna pay for the kids
/r/MGTOW224/05/21 01:54 PM

Quite the opposite. The Government become the payer of Child support. Opens up the market to any broke dude to start smashing single moms/ wannabe single moms

It becomes a tax on everyone. As it expands and more move in on it. Disability, healthcare, everything else people may need to use, will be cut to the bare bones. Became one of the biggest expenses in the UK as it got so well used

The Tax Credit system in the UK got so large, they had to limit the system to 2 kids. It lasted about 10/15 years though with as many as they could have. Kid 3/4/5 is just child support now.
/r/MGTOW224/05/21 12:44 PM

Sounds extremely similar to the UK Tax Credit system. And this will not end well. Government spending IS going to skyrocket, it did here. Massively. Damn near every woman in the working class with a kid became "Single" in order to claim the full amount. Dad lived apart, broken homes increased, as did "dad not living there Mr Govt" but really he did. We've been through this 20yrs ago in the UK. You guys are screwed

I'm a world away, living in Scotland. Rural places have the problem of "not enough houses". Kids grow up and no houses for them, remote means too expensive for housebuilders to build them. People priced out, so buying into those places are eye wateringly expensive.

The UK is fine (has its problems but not like this). In the UK, DNA is the Rule. DNA says your not the Dad, that's the end of it. Then there's other issues because the UK has different laws in the Individual countries. Scotland is in the UK, but Scottish kids can claim their own Maintenance at 12yr old, taking it out of the control of whoever they live with.

11% increase in sexual inactivity since I was 18 in 2002. It's a big jump, but I can see the difference in the "dating market" nowadays. It's horrific. The app's were Hella fun at the start but theyv knackered it all right up. Don't think it's too much to do with the job market tbh. Dressed and presented well, you can do well working in McDonalds. Realised it when me and babymamma broke up. House, job, kid 50/50. Bills got less, a lot less, and life got easier. You can still date, but it's best to be honest about no marriage and no cohabitating from very early. Honestly, the vast majority will want to do the standard. Date, then live together, Marry (though thats pretty much redundant in the UK), and kids. Being honest from the start saves a heap of trouble down the line. Usually it's not enough for most partners anyway, so it's short lived in a casual sense for a bit, then moving on, or chilling yourself for a bit.

It will be interesting to see it's rollout and implementation over there. Probably similar to England as when they did it in Scotland, they tend to forget the Massive differences in Scots Law compared to England and the ex UK colonies that tended to co-opt and base theirs on English Law away back in the old days. Entirely possible in the UK. Well, Scotland at least. Scotland only really has 2 main cities, and the further out from the city centre's the less you have to bother. Feminism still rears its head, but tbh it's a very middle class problem. The working class thinks they are nuts.
