It's absolutely fascinating to hear in such detail what life is like for a high-SMV guy. Speaking as a guy who's never received a "long, seductive stare from the other end of the room" or "bites on bottom lips," never mind a “You’re so sexy!”, I feel like an 17th-century Englishman hearing amazing stories from an exotic but inaccessible Orient. I hope you appreciate the rare gift you've got.

David D was always beta. He just talked about the things he saw his alpha friend do. I liked his original book for a long time, but not any more. It's true that teasing girls is a great technique--when you've got the right mindset for it to succeed. (It fails horribly when you're feeling genuine contempt.) But it's just one small piece of the puzzle, and not even a necessary one. DYD make it sound like the biggest piece.

Have you written out a list of the girlfriend jobs somewhere? I would love to have some ideas for tasks for the girl pursuing me now.

Lots of reasons to go for kino anyway. Physical escalation itself is attractive, and can get many women interested who weren't interested before. It shows boldness and leadership. Some girls are bored because they're horny and annoyed that nothing physical is happening yet. If kino leads to a blowout, you probably never had a chance, so it's a great way to filter out no-girls quickly. Think about how much time that can save you. (Not to be confused with the resistance a maybe-girl puts up, which…

This seems like a good place to link Blackdragon's "soft next" post, possibly his best post ever and definitely one of the best relationship management techniques ever: http://www.pua-zone.com/showthread.php?5492-How-To-Soft-Next-Step-by-step-instructions-and-answers-to-questions

Hey, that is a really interesting thought. Do you think that even occasional alcohol (e.g. 2 or 3 drinks a week) is enough to blunt oxytocin response at other times (when blood alcohol is zero)?

Hey AB, where do you find cruises with coeds half your age? Until now, I've always believed that all cruises everywhere are old people, fat Walmartians, families with school-age children, and a small contingent of still faintly sexually viable middle-agers cruising each other for sex, with all of the above expanding at the all-you-can-eat buffets. A good friend of mine went on a cruise once and described it as the most boring, faith-in-humanity-killing experience of his life, with absolutely nob…

Some cosmetic surgeries are easy and low-risk, and some are the opposite. These days, lots of people have what looks like neck fat on the undersides of their chins. (When I was a child I didn't see this on anyone under 60; nowadays I see it all the time on 20-somethings.) I'm told it can be removed easily and with little risk. And if the surgeon screws up, how bad can he really make the underside of your chin look? If I had chin fat, I'd get it fixed for sure. At the other extreme, even celebrit…

Nice post. I've been thinking maybe I should learn some skill well enough to teach it in my spare time, and use it to meet women and practice telling people what to do. You're confirming my thoughts on that. As for learning how to apply that mindset in your LTR, I have some concrete, actionable advice, if you're willing to do it. Google blackdragon soft next step-by-step. Read the post carefully twice. Apply what you've read in an LTR when the time is appropriate. (Don't try to rush it by applyi…

"beta" has been a big source of confusion in TRP world, because people use it to mean so many things. Sometimes people mean "comforter" behaviors. These are good in moderation, but they have to be balanced with alpha, and the right balance depends on the situation (ONS vs FB vs LTR vs friend). Sometimes people mean "provider" behaviors, like buying a girl dinner. There's some ambiguity between provider and comforter, but they're not the same: spending money isn't the most efficient way to comfor…

I work in a shitty office job I have zero confidence and have always been shy Well, then you have (at least) two goals you should build your current life around: to fix these two defects. Those should take priority over any girl. Once you fix them, you can trade up to better girls.

That walkaround date does sound like fun. Why shouldn't she have liked it? BTW, there's an actual psychology research paper or two claiming that physically active dates lead to better outcomes than sitting-down dates.

Just straight out lie about your age. Until you're 30. You should make it a habit to tell the truth about most things, but this really is an exception. Women will actually trust you more if you tell them an age that matches your looks than if you tell them the truth.

Thanks; Parts 2 and 3 were awesome. (Part 1 didn't do it for me; I hope not too many skipped Parts 2/3 after reading Part 1.) I appreciate the time you put into these. I have to disagree with the guys suggesting you try to control her. It sounds like this girl is genuinely attracted to you and likes sex with you, so it's not an attraction problem. If that's right, maybe she's one of those rare girls who just genuinely hates giving blowjobs, and control-freaking her isn't going to change that. It's okay to continue to request them occasionally, but don't try to negotiate for them; that's weak. The way to deal with girls who won't give you something that's impor…

FWIW, "Risk creepy" is one of the slogans of one of my favorite pickup advisors. Growing as a man means risking that which you fear. The only way to learn social calibration is to sometimes step over the line.
/r/askTRP15/05/15 12:15 AM

I think long-term relationships are less emphasized here because (1) the relationship guys are all over on the marriedredpill subreddit, (2) this forum skews young, and (3) pickup is easier to study experimentally than LTRs: you can try to pickup 1,000 girls and build up an understanding of women's reactions to different approaches quickly, but you can't have 1,000 LTRs.

Still not enough information to tell if it's just about money. Easiest way to find out is ask her out on a cheap date, e.g. walk in the park throwing the frisbee around, maybe a coffee.

I don't know whether you're misreading it. But nothing in your original post suggests that she said it for any reason other than she likes you. Were there some clues that you left out of your post? Did she suggest a particular kind of date?

She did ask you on a date. That's how girls do it. Don't interpret women literally, or try to make them speak literally. You can get women to do almost anything, but you can't get them to talk like men talk. If your answer is yes, it's still your job as a man to set the terms of the "date"/get-together. A simple "Meet me at 8 pm at X for drinks" will do, or whatever your preferred get-together is. Above all, lead lead lead and don't try to coax her to lead. She's doing you a favor by trying to a…

Great post. All true. I would add that to pay down anger debt, you have to spend a prolonged period of time just feeling the anger, and not resisting it. To get over an emotion, first you have to process it by letting it have its way with you for a time. For those of you who know some basic Buddhism--like the tenet that suffering is caused not by pain, but by your resistance to pain--those ideas work really well for emotions. When guys say "get over the anger phase", most people interpret that a…

Some marathoners do die from weird premature heart attacks. Endless long-ass endurance exercise slowly saps protein from the heart. And the whole upper body. That's why we eschew cardio in favor of lifting and high-intensity interval training. It keeps the lean muscle tissue intact. (And the joints too.) BTW, I'm a fortysomething, and so far it's been only uphill every year of my life. Welcome to the club.

Way, way more physical stuff. Lifting, of course, but also music lessons, boxing or BJJ, snowmobiling, waterskiing, kitesurfing, more dance lessons, more mountain biking, more skiiing. Part of being a man is forging a connection with your body and developing the habit of action. I spent way too much time reading.

Major major agreement. I wish somebody had told me by junior high school to collect as much experience with women as possible, rather than save my desire for the one girl I had a hopeless crush on at any given time. I could have chosen a better phrase than "beaten it". But after 2 years, most people no longer show the symptoms and aren't usually contagious while the symptoms are in abeyance. As you say, "80% don't know it." I tend to just assume that all of us here who have chosen a life of promiscuity have already read the herpes statistics and already just know that most of us will get it sooner or later.

Compliments are great, but it's complicated to know how much to use them. The more alpha you are, the more compliments you can use. Compliments to girls with higher SMV are usually counterproductive, exaggerating the difference between your SMVs. Compliments to girls with lower SMV can make you seem more accessible to them, thereby improving your odds of seducing them. (Don't overdo them, though...you can overshoot the target.) Compliments to girls close to your SMV should be perceptive or creat…

Betas often give compliments or favors in an attempt to mollify people (especially girls) who are behaving badly. In other words, they reward bad behavior (though they don't think of it that way).

So girls are emotional. Think of it from her point of view. She gets an incurable STD that condoms don't block, and wonders whether her sex life is ruined for life. Shortly thereafter, she gets sexually rejected on account of it. Crazy? Or just the standard thunderstorm on the high seas that is the female hindbrain? For all you know, you'll be friends again in a week. Wait until the storm rolls over before you assume it's permanent. Anyway, don't gamble on herpes while she's in the infectious ph…

You're mistaken. You're close to the truth, and you're absolutely right to highlight congruency. But no, there is no uncanny valley between alpha and beta. Instead, there are many different alpha traits, and these alpha traits are not binary. They're more like volume knobs, which you can turn up and down. If they are all set at the same volume, there is no uncanny; a man can be half-alpha, and everybody will accept him for his medium-high place in the sociosexual hierarchy. If they are set at wa…

Caleb Jones (aka Blackdragon) has a recent TRP book called "The Unchained Male" that's pretty good. It's a mix of game, business, and other red pill topics. http://www.alphamalebook.com For an old school touch, David Deida has written a lot of great books about manhood and male-female relations. Just gonna repeat myself here: her "admission" is not to be taken literally. She admitted what she admitted because she couldn't come right out and say I'M SO SICK OF GUYS WITH FEELINGS WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE JUST FUCK ME?!? She didn't do what she did on purpose and without reason. She did it instinctually, in pursuit of a clear goal. Did you even read what you wrote? "Well, I'm actually kind of seeing this guy right now. I don't really like him, but it's kind of an open relationship type thing. Plus, I don't really feel like I'm in a spot right now in my life to be in a relationship, which is what I feel you are looking for." With women, often there is no "why"; there's only "this is how it is". But this is how it is: Rewarding women when they do good and punishing them when they do bad works, if the feedback is immediate and unambiguous. However, most men are utterly ignorant about what things reward women and what things punish women. Arguments, drama, and emotional roller coasters are rewards for women. Women experience nearly all forms of attention as rewards, including negative attention. Failure to understand t…

Don't do that. Get used to not caring whether she wants it or not, and graciously accepting the sex on offer. This will condition you to put your own desires first, and will pay benefits in subconscious alphaness later. It will also take some pressure off her. Maybe once she sees what a good time you're having, she'll start to get into it. However, if she starfishes so badly that you're not enjoying it, that's different. To my eyes, a navy blazer is a bit of an old man's look--a lot of an old man's look if it's accompanied by brass buttons. I'll wear navy only if there's an element that makes it look nontraditional and young. Navy complements most men's skin tones, but for most men there's a shade of gray or a lighter/bolder blue that will work just as well for them. I like gray, black, royal blue. For variety, blue linen in summer and brown Harris tweeds in the other seasons (must look tweedy and Scottish/Briti…

Good post. It looks like you've done a good job of diagnosing your mistakes. I think writing them up is a great way to remind yourself what to do differently next time, and a good example to other guys here. I tend to agree with Blackdragon that women are serial monogamists, and don't stay in love forever--though they sometimes come back. Four years is quite good. Very few women maintain a strong sexual attraction for any man longer than that. So don't mistake this for a failure. I'll make a few…

Using "commitment" as a euphemism for "monogamy" is itself the height of blue pill lying propaganda. Marriage used to entail lots of real commitments for a woman: she committed to stay with her man forever; she committed to always be available for sex; she (more or less) committed to cook the meals, change the diapers, and milk the cows. Over the last century, women have worked relentlessly to discard those commitments. Today, any woman who feels any of those obligations is ostracized as a trait…

I'm not knocking technique; I've gotten a lot of mileage out of good finger placement myself. But no amount of technique makes up for making the girl feel dominated and making her feel the need to please you. Ideally, you would have both dominance and technique, but if you had to choose one, choose dominance/hand/being the man she needs to please. As a man, you ideally want to be in a position where your SMV, dominance, independence, r-selection, and willingness to take what you want is high eno…

When you want to get into an LTR, get into an LTR. But... Get enough experience first to go into an LTR knowing that you can find a new sex partner quickly if she doesn't make the grade. If you ever let her think she's got you locked down, she'll stop valuing you. Don't be the first to suggest exclusivity. If she wants it, let her be the one to pursue it. Make her work for it a bit. Great post. It's hit-and-miss to get useful feedback from a woman, but this is an excellent sign. Women are extremely sensitive to incongruence and inconsistency, as well as to when men try too hard, qualify themselves, or are inauthentic to impress her. Women like this gravitate to an authentic guy because they know he's secure enough not to change himself to please some stranger. And yes, it does make them feel safe, but not in the boring way, because they can trust the guy to remain strong wh…

A big mistake you are making, and something it took me WAY too many years to learn: You are programming yourself to believe that you have to say something special or clever to be liked. If you continue to do that, you will inadvertently lower your self-esteem and increase your approach anxiety because you are sending your subconscious the message that you are not enough as you are. So my advice is to open the next batch of girls you run across by saying the first thing that comes to mind about t…
