I just looked this up... and couldn't find anything. I like to think I'm pretty well-versed on the subject, and as far as I know the conviction of rape required a "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard of evidence.....

In criminal courts evidence is required. I admit it's not always followed, but it is supposed to be beyond a reasonable doubt.

Your chances of being falsely accused of rape are pretty slim, m8. Best thing you can do is find a good woman while you're young and then marry her.

The prosecutor or DA decides what goes to trial, nto the cops (I think). And there not being enough evidence to take a case to trial does NOT mean that it is false.

So, do we think it's fake? The author has no personal details available, but it's possible it's a pseudonym for someone who really is going through this wretched life.

Also, Josephine started sleeping with the guy who eventually beat napoleon after the battle of waterloo. Napoleon was pretty based though. Also, he was around the average height for the time.
