Hmm overthinking is tricky. But i dont think numbing yourself with alcohol to interact with women is the way to go ultimately. If you are anyway having a drink or two go ahead. But explicitly hammering yourself, thats not healthy. It sounds to me like you might be having anxiety or some other issue, which interferes with your ability to act like you would like to. Have you considered visiting a therapist? They can help a great deal. (personally got some help for myself for my issues and would re…

Question are you attracted to these girls? did you make out with her yet? I think with 1. you can physically escalate (like when you cuddled with her, put your hand on her knee etc...) and see what her reaction is (mirroring, no reaction, closed body language, withdrawal...). She‘ll let you know nonverbally or verbally if she doesnt want it. Obviously at a certain point consent is required. But i think you can try more aggressively. either, your assumption about her being interested isnt correct…

I was eating with friends once at a restaurant and one friend took a female friend with her. I found her quite attractive but saw on her phone, she was texting with some person with alot of heart and smiley-emojis, so I thought: „ah, don‘t bother with her, she‘s probably got a dude already.“ The rest of the evening I spent the time being myself and telling the worst of jokes, including dick jokes. Two days later she texted me and we went to grab a drink. Unfortunately she got interested into ano…

Yup! Can confirm! I manage to gain a lot more attention, when I am not looking to impress women, probably because your mentioned altered self-expectation and behavior.

Nope, can‘t take peoples basic rights away. We‘re a human society and help each other in need. When you are old and eventually become ill you also want your family to care for you. Also sterilisation in National Socialistic countries didn‘t show a lowering of prevalence of mental illness or other diseases.

You know what other kinds of consensus there was in the 1930? Sterilisation of genetically „inferior“ prople.

Amazing! I am so happy for you and glad you managed to get yourself out there! That can be very scary initially, but props how you managed to overcome your (not really necessary as you pointed out) fear of rejection. Actually I had a VERY similar story like you did. Me (22m) over tinder going on a date with a girl for the second time and then I was also scared in the beginning but then after telling a lot of jokes, we kissed, it escalated, she came home with me. And retrospectively I could have …

Absolutely! The first time I took a girl home I absolutely also felt that way. It basically happened like it did to OP. It really wasn‘t thaaat much of a big deal retrospectively.

Wow you explained very well and I totally agree. I hope OP can take something from it

Got it. I always find it challenging when you find a ‚target‘ to not get yourself too invested and stay laid-back while still signaling a good amount of interest.

Hey cool story! Were you ever in the situation that your wingmans girl of interest was more into you and your girl of interest was more into your wingman? How do you deal elegantly with this situation? You just switch spots?

Or if you don't want to go on Tinder, just getting to know new people in general when doing sports, at work etc. will make it less of a big deal when you try to connect with somebody, because you got used to talking with strangers and are more confident as mentioned above. And I also agree that you've most likely messed this one up with a pretty bad first impression and I would move on. But keep your head up! Probably most people, myself included, sometimes mess up meeting a new person and leave…

Agree! But try not to seem too needy or clingy at the same time.

Why do you exactly think that you are giving too many fucks when opening to a stranger, if I may ask? :) Have a nice day too!

Hey dude! It is totally ok to feel uncomfortable when talking with strangers at first. When I need/want to talk to somebody I don't know, I just remember that I won't likely meet this person in my life ever again. And even if I do, I don't have anything to loose. And if you meet a person that you can hang around with, it does not matter that much how you exactly behave. Just try to be yourself, and if he/she seems uninterested, don't worry about them because you're probably better off moving on.…

Why not? I mean of. Course it might be difficult with her wanting to get paid a tip and being polite ans all. But why not ask her what her name is (i mean it makes sense if you go there every week) n stuff. You might compliment her on her wristwatch or something or ask her quickly for advice on something that bothers you like you not knowing what gift you should get your sister... you might get into a conversation after a couple of weeks or so and then work from there. If she picks up on you, gr…

Anywhere really. For example break room at work, at a friend's party at home, while waiting in line... Not when it's too loud like on a dance floor. No problem dude;)

Something that helps me get into conversation with people is finding something they like to talk about (preferably something that you're also interested in) and then ask them stuff about it. For example: I found out a girl I was talking to saw a horror movie she liked. Then I asked her what the plot was from which made her tell me everything in detail. From then on by exploring the other person's topic you can get into a good conversation. I think the key is that you become genuinely interested …
