It can be about both. I think social demographic plays a big part too. Black people being typically more likely to be economically disadvantaged compared to white people and less able to afford good legal representation. The wealthy manage to get away with awful crimes that a poor person should quickly be locked up for. When you combine this with racial bias and misandry, being a black man accused of a crime is a very serious predicament.

Great post. I think what we can all do as human beings is to ask men how they are. I mean really ask, and then listen to their response, offering what support we can when needed. There seem to be many men who are rarely asked this basic question in a meaningful way. Also consider complimenting a man, perhaps on their choice of shirt or a haircut.
