I changed careers at 28 and best decision of my life, moved from HR after 8 years of work and evening study to an entry level job in Finance, I am now earning more per annum than I would have in HR if I had stayed and put in the time

I would in the strongest possible terms suggest avoiding crypto currencies and the stock market for short term gains - yes people make money but far more loose it. Stock market is good for long term gains but always have a diverse portfolio and hedge with a commodity portfolio as well. The other rule is unless your using other people’s money never invest more than you are willing to loose - know that you could walk away with nothing

In the right environment a good quality tailored suit can make you stand out from the crowd - it helps you project a confidence and competence that requires literally no extra work. It is however only a tool - if you haven’t got the knowledge, body and confidence to begin with a suit isn’t going to make you Alpha by itself

I don’t want to get into to much personal detail but which sector are you studying/interning in? For example if it was investment banking/law I would spend some of that money on a couple of good suits and shoes (always black shoes - no brown in the town). This is a personal thing but a good fitted suit increases your confidence which will show and help you advance both within work and with the ladies. That’s true - my experience was from a time I was getting my porn on VHS and had gotten my first proper bonus in work and we were all out on the town celebrating. Don’t get me wrong it was the cherry on top of a great day and night but my expectations where still higher than the reality

Getting a job at a bank - take it from someone who works in finance, if you aren’t in London, New York or Hong Kong you aren’t making real money. Also if you are in anyone of those locations your tinder options go through the roof - I wish tinder had been an option when I was young and single in the city

Sorry - I was more saying that if you want to concentrate on your career and put in a 50 hour working week as well as socialising at least once during the working week then you are not what I am looking for in a wife and mother. I am going to add my 2cents to this as a male. I work in a high pressure, long hours working environment which has a mixture of both males and females. If you aren’t doing a 50+ hours week you won’t be there long.
