I disagree, I have two sisters, and a friend with a daughter who’s the same age as my youngest. Excellent marksmen without training. But as soon as a male with training shows up? Answers to all three are all the time, AWALT, but I put up with them because they owe me, and they know they can’t screw me over. Plenty of times it’s ok to tell them to fuck off if they ask you to do something, they’ll do it themselves and be better for it, or throw a tantrum, realize we’re all tired of it, and be better for it. I agree, it’s in our nature to get upset, and have emotional thinking rear it’s ugly head, especially for girls who make the effort to think rationally. If they’re mature enough to listen to advice that says “take a step back, and breathe, and really think about it”, then they’re more mature than the majority of the population, for guys and girls.

I respect the monk mode, but yeah, it’s doing whatever you want, so long as you look out for number one, which is you. 1, motorcycles. I might as well be having sex when I’m knee-down in the twisties. 2, guns. Same deal, fucking live for range days 3, gaming/streaming. Word to the wise, look for one that was used by a trackday rental company, the engine will be in better order, and you’ll save yourself a fuckton of headaches. A used lambo that never got driven hard in it’s life is going to be shot to shit. (Also if you do get one, same thing, let it stretch it’s legs out on a track fairly often, else your engine degrades fast.)

I used to have a ‘76 Duster, basically a musclier two-door Dodge Dart, wanted to give it the same treatment but had to move so I had to sell (different smog reqs.) Yeah I’m no fan of modern muscle (basically just sport-lite, where’s the danger?), but anything made before 1980, regardless of where from, is omeganut to me. (That said, I’ve a maaaajor soft spot for anything built pre-1950)

Car’s a car, in my eyes, you’re lucky you got a mech who’s proficient in the platform you’ve got (or would it be vice-versa... haha), my only meaningful metric for engines is their Smiles-per-Miles stat, for the most part. Being a mechanic, rental cars, engine wise, are gonna be some of the better cars you can buy used. (Check the interior for sticky shit in any case.) As an engine gets used, if it’s not periodically driven hard, performance degrades quickly. (This is why you never buy a used sports car, unless you’re a gearhead with the time to fix it up yourself. Ever heard of the “Italian tune-up”?) In other words, never buy a decent car from someone who’s never driven it hard, the engine’s gonna need a rebuild…

Women's hockey is great too. They tend to be a lot more aggressive since they "have more to prove". ​ Still slower than men's hockey, but it's a sport in it's own league imho.
