I disagree. I think there’s a major correlation between toxic habits and toxic thoughts but then, I suppose what is toxic is a matter of opinion. At the end of the day I wouldn’t even bother trying to change someone’s mind on any topic at all but rather focus my attention inwards to ensure that my actions are not perpetuating ideas that run counter to my beliefs. Essentially, I only care about not being a hypocrite (INSANELY difficult to actually accomplish).

People are trying way too hard. Life should not be hard. If life feels like a grind then you’re doing something wrong and you need to fix it. I understand that this can be incredibly difficult especially the way our society is currently structured but you have to keep faith that it’s possible because the alternative is depression, which people should never accept because it’s not good for you or society. Being bitter is awful and it’s a quick way to repel people away from you. Life is astonishingly simple but people of communities like TRP tend to complicate it because they are so mired and disillusioned by their own perceived inadequacies and egos. I’m not sure if this is the shortest way, but it’s certainly an effective one. Tell them to cut everything toxic out of their lives: drugs, alcohol, masturbation, junk food ETC... If you do and consume nothing toxic then you in turn can not have toxic ideas. It just isn’t possible.
