No. Why would I go on a date with someone I have no interest in spending time with?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/26 07:46 PM

If he could be respectful and mature about it, sure. The problem is that most of the time this has happened to me I’ve been called a bitch, cursed out, or worse.

But men do the same thing, all the time. It’s pretty much a meme at this point that men will date crazy girls as long as they’re hot.

Your entire argument is faulty in that 1. having a job IS a necessity in a capitalistic society, sorry, and 2. giving shit tests and ultimatums and sabotaging women aren’t something that we are taught or encouraged or shown to do. It’s also, again, not exclusive to women, and I think you’d probably find that a lot of men in the workforce exhibit these toxic behaviors too. I work in a female-dominated workplace and … zero drama. Some people don’t like each other, and they avoid each other. They d…

One is a necessity in a capitalistic society. The other is a very specific scenario that many people, men and women, struggle with.

I have had two close friends who admitted feelings for me that I rejected. One lingered in my social circle for years and we had multiple big arguments that spiraled because he couldn’t get over me and held those feelings over my head. We are still friends now, but not as close as we once were. Another friend intentionally took space away from me for a little over a year. He unfriended, unfollowed, and completely disconnected from me. We got back in touch and he is happily married and we have a …

I think if you’re aware of how your behavior and actions might make women uncomfortable that’s one thing and it’s a green flag. If it’s an obsession to the point that you’re constantly thinking/talking about it, it’s a red flag.

I was trying to go a similar route (assuming you do the job I think you do) but I was getting ready to graduate right around the time ChatGPT was made public and made a pivot to education. It’s definitely not easy on introverts but you can climb the ladder to something that either lets you work mostly with adults or in something like curriculum development. Best of luck to you. It sucks that AI is taking peoples work.

>straight men crave femininity Not all straight men crave femininity. I’m a bisexual tomboy and often dress androgynous and I’ve almost exclusively dated straight men. In a similar vein, some women will only date masculine men, some women will only date feminine men, others will date both or neither. Masculine and feminine are also nebulous terms with a lot of individuals having different definitions and expectations of both.

I think this all comes back to the idea that it just isn’t a helpful thing to say to someone. Imagine if your sister, friend, aunt, cousin, or any woman in your life that you cared about got into a relationship with a shitty guy. Like visibly and objectively shitty. And then he cheated, assaulted her, or whatever else. Would you sit across from someone you care about and say “this is actually all your fault because you should have chosen better?” Or are you someone with tact and kindness who can…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:58 PM

Telling someone who was totally blindsided and who is dealing with the aftermath of that that they should have chosen better is a cheap, nasty shot. Too often, that’s the context in which people choose to use it. Now if the red flags were flying from the get go, that’s a different story. Even then, however, it’s not really a useful or kind thing to say. Hindsight is 20/20
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:33 PM

None of this has anything to do with dating. Yet another man who doesn’t understand what DEI means. And who clearly doesn’t work in a STEM field. It’s most certainly not equal and probably will never be, but that doesn’t mean it’s ever okay to discriminate against women in hiring.

By this logic a lot of men who claim to be straight are gay. I’ve heard a lot of guys make comments about wanting to kiss or bang their male friends
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 12:52 PM

Nobody should force themselves to date people they aren’t attracted to. That’s a recipe for disaster.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 12:49 PM

Saying someone is attractive doesn’t mean you’re lusting after them? I can recognize that my female friends are gorgeous, without being attracted to them. You can recognize that someone is attractive without being attracted to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 12:44 PM
4

So lust coming from women is performative? Is that really your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 12:20 PM

And yet, you claim women are all egotistical and two-faced. Maybe in different words, but certainly not far off. Genuinely curious, would you tell those women what you thought about them in the dating world? On that note, do you get this perspective from what they say to you and how they act? Or is this coming from somewhere else?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:14 AM

This is all just “women bad!” If you genuinely do not think dating is worth the effort for you, you are free to opt out of it for whatever reason you choose. It sounds like you really dislike women so idk why you’re so hung up on trying to date them.

OP’s entire point is that men are more likely than women to be violent
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 08:16 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:01 PM

I’ve heard from multiple women who live in countries that are common hotspots for passport bros that nobody really sees them as genuinely interesting people, it’s more so a chance at a green card or a cushier lifestyle. Some will even go so far as to saying that a lot of women are already turned off by these guys because they know they probably weren’t getting any back home and that’s why they came. That’s not to say that some of these people don’t find genuine love because I’m sure for every 10…

Love how you prove your point with your only example being of a fucking Russian sex spy. Since you think taking one example of something means it applies to everyone, I could sit here and tell you that all men are rapists because I know one guy who is a rapist. But that’s an atrocious claim, and if I genuinely posted some shit like that I’d get dunked on for good reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 03:06 AM

I find it funny how in discussions about general violence and how each gender experiences it. Men are usually the ones to go “well men are at a higher risk of being attacked or murdered!” Yes. By other men. Men are more likely to get murdered than women and it’s by other men.

Asking your partner for a paternity test is an accusation of cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 04:15 AM
6

Snooping on someone’s phone is not the same as openly accusing them of cheating on you and intending to commit fraud against you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:46 PM
3

Yes, this. In a hypothetical where a man demands a paternity test with no reason to believe his partner cheated beyond his own insecurities, this is at best an emotional manipulation tactic where others have to kowtow to his whims in order to soothe his own issues, and at worst a common hallmark of abuse. Neither scenario involves someone who is fit to parent.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:41 PM
9

How is it not an implication of cheating? How is it not a demonstration of your lack of trust in your partner? I have insurance because other people drive like idiots and I don’t want to be boned if someone else’s idiocy leads to damage of my property. Why on God’s green earth would I stay in a relationship with someone if I felt the need to “take precautions” against the possibility that they’re an awful person?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:39 PM
4

And once again, most rape accusations, false or otherwise, don’t result in prison or financial consequences. Accusing someone of cheating and intending to commit fraud could be considered libel or defamation, same as a false rape accusation.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:32 PM
9

“I trust her and don’t think she’d cheat” is not a thought process you have when demanding a paternity test from your wife. If you request a paternity test you clearly don’t trust that the baby is yours. That’s kind of just it. And no matter what the outcome, if you arrive at that conclusion, the relationship needs to end.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:30 PM

It also isn’t in the best interest of the child to be around a parent that is so insecure that they’re willing to blow their whole family up.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:24 PM
6

If you don’t trust your wife enough to believe that she isn’t cheating on you and intending to lie to you forever about it then you shouldn’t be in the relationship anyways
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:14 PM
3

Are we just going to act like someone accusing their wife of cheating and intending to lie about it forever wouldn’t possibly result in any social consequences?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:13 PM

Zero custody but still paying child support.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:06 PM
-2

And once again, while they both cheat, men are more likely to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 06:50 PM
1

Considering the relevant data, it likely won’t change. There have been studies on the subject going back to the 90s and the findings are always the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 04:28 PM
1

Where the fuck did I say anything of the sort?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 03:26 PM
4

So by your logic men shouldn’t complain about their wives not wanting sex as much as them.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:30 PM
8

And in every other age bracket, men are more likely to cheat, and the disparity in likelihood only grows larger.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:29 PM
4

So by your own logic, 1% is present, but low desire. Once again, why would a woman seek out a relationship with someone she doesn’t desire?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:07 PM
9

Statistically, men are more likely to cheat. I also think it’s worth pointing out that cheating on your partner might not mean that you don’t desire them at all, it just means you desired someone else more, if only for a fleeting moment.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:03 PM
3

But you just said yourself that desire is not 100% or 0%
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 02:02 PM
3

You didn’t answer my question, like at all. Even if it’s a 1% there is still desire there.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 01:59 PM

Why would a woman seek out a relationship with someone she doesn’t desire?

Women can be shallow, just like men can be shallow. If you want to assert that the majority of either is shallow then you need to be able to prove it concretely.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 01:12 PM

I thought the “women aren’t straight” bullshit was banned here. I never said that women aren’t pursuing relationships at all. Women are less likely to feel pressured to seek relationships and even less likely to feel like they have to stay with men they aren’t attracted to or compatible with because we don’t have to do that anymore. Considering the fact that over half of women are getting married with the vast majority of women still valuing and wanting marriage, I think it’s pretty obvious that…

While I mostly agree with your point, I do think it’s important to bear in mind the fact that 1. Women used to be more reliant on men, and the current generations of single men are among the first to contend with women having all of the same rights as they do, which means that women aren’t seeking out relationships at the same rate as we used to, and 2. Fellow men tend to perpetuate the idea that self worth should be dictated, in part, by one’s ability to get women, and 3. Men still aren’t compl…

/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 11:06 PM

“Choose better” absolutely is still valid even if the other choice is being alone. Putting up with bad behavior or even just abuse is way too normalized with men because too many of yall are obsessed with the idea of being in just any relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 10:05 PM
2

I fully agree with everything you’ve said and I think the fact that at least some people can objectively recognize the fact that it has more to do with big societal issues than with how one gender behaves in the context of dating is really important. The apps are easier, at least at a surface level of exposure. But the reason that they work so well for women and are such a nightmare for men is because of the disparity in genders on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 09:49 PM
1

Every time I see a man complaining about his crappy luck on dating apps I feel like I lose ten years off my life. It’s a well known fact that there are 5x as many men on dating apps as there are women. Every time a guy signs up for a dating app he is widening that gap. The blame consistently gets foisted onto women for a problem that men are relentlessly and knowingly perpetuating.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:29 PM

Pretty sure someone has already pointed out the fact that the story changed between your first post on the subject and this one. Those comments didn’t have the full story and you’re misrepresenting them by acting like they had the same context you gave here.

>But this transactional view is horribly unattractive to most people, and I do think it’s often a very manly attitude that is harming men so much socially. I’m really glad someone else picked up on this and pointed it out. /r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 06:43 PM

I don’t think the fact that you turned her down is part of this principle of not owing anyone your body. I think whatever backlash you experienced had more to do with the fact that you were “sparsely dating” someone you clearly have zero interest in and then complaining about it.

I think the actual line here is written erotica vs porn videos. Not men’s vs women’s. That being said, I think by that line, anything written is less problematic than anything on video tbh. I personally don’t watch porn, partially because when you pull up a video there’s no way to guarantee that everyone involved totally consented to not only being in a video but having it uploaded online. I live continents away from Bonnie Blue and only know who she is because of posts like this. I haven’t ever done sex work like she has. I don’t even watch porn. Why do you think it’s logical to say I, as a woman, am less ethical than a man because of a woman I have no connection to? You clearly don’t think me doing the same to you makes any sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 01:12 PM

If there was no Bonnie there would be someone else producing that content. Why? Because a fuckton of men would pay for someone else to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 01:10 PM

It’s unrealistic and silly to expect women, or anyone for that matter, to suddenly start being attracted to unattractive people. I also think you’re assuming that everyone is as terminally online as you. Most women aren’t thinking about who they are looksmatched with relative to their sexual market value. Most women are just attracted to the people they’re attracted to.

A lot of the frustration comes from the fact that many single men would be content dating just anyone, while women are less likely to settle for just whoever. Claiming that the entire marriage system is based on a lack of trust is just patently false. The marriage system exists to legally create family units and to streamline things like inheritance and taxes and the like. There’s stuff involved with the legal side of marriage that exists prior to divorce. “Just get a good lawyer” doesn’t let you put your spouse on your health insurance, or gain access to their medical records in case of an emergency.

You’re right about both. But when you also look at the fact that we on average work more than our predecessors, more people are working multiple jobs, we have increasingly higher levels of exhaustion and decreasing reserves of free time. I do think lots of people make choices to spend time alone. I’m not disagreeing with that. But why do so many people do that? We’re pushed into it by capitalistic forces, by changing social norms, and by phenomena like smartphones acting as entertainment when we…

While I agree that a lot of people complain about women not breaking down their front door and throwing themselves at men, I do think it’s important to keep in mind that “going out with friends” isn’t a 100% solution considering we are experiencing a social isolation epidemic en masse. Most people don’t have huge social circles anymore, on average anyone in their 20s has something like 30% the social groups that their parents did. Not to mention when you hit 30-40-50 your friends aren’t going to…

I don’t think the argument is that it’s wrong, but more so that it isn’t going to lead to you being happy in life or even you being able to be a good partner. I think most people want partnership, even a family, but still do things just because they enjoy them. The fact that you specifically say that all of your hobbies and goals and ambitions aren’t for you but are instead “a means to an end” makes it seem like you don’t even really like yourself that much if you aren’t interested in taking car…

Of course your past experiences influence your current preferences. If you try something and realize you hate it, you will probably actively avoid it and never seek it out again. Same thing if you try something you end up loving, you might request it with any future partners you have.

Once again. Enjoyment of media that you like. Why are you over complicating something so simple? Is it hard for you?

So then why do you watch porn? For the plot? “Women get emotions from those romance novels” you get emotions from any media you consume. I like Godzilla movies, they make me happy. I like comic books, they make me feel invested. A woman who likes to read romance novels probably feels intrigued, aroused, whatever. The “mechanism” is consuming something that you enjoy. It’s not that complicated.

“Buh-buh-buh men don’t watch porn for that reason!” Do you watch porn because you like the plot or do you watch it because it’s sexual media for you to jerk it to? Dark romance is fantasy. Women like sexual fantasy just like men do. I’m not sure why you’re so hyper fixated on the emotions behind it. It’s smut.

Women don’t have to depend on men for the first time in history. Black pill men want to punish us for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 09:54 PM

Decentering women and learning to prioritize yourself is a good and positive thing. I’m fully in favor of that becoming more of a societal norm, just not at the expense of being civil and kind.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 09:50 PM

Your personal interpretation of the blackpill is not the way it is represented or transmitted in real life though.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 09:32 PM

It blatantly misrepresents women. The black pill is not rooted in truth. Looks are not the only thing that matter to women. Sure, there are a few out there who would say otherwise, but that’s not exclusive to women. Men who believe in the black pill are oftentimes the ones who feel justified advocating against women’s rights and suggesting that it should be okay to harm and rape women because if we are painted as villains then it feels good to punish us. I don’t mind if someone tries to talk to me at the bar when I go alone, or if I go to an event, hobby shop, concert, etc. I have had mostly positive interactions that way and made a few friends. I have a boyfriend so I try to make that clear and most guys are fine just having a chat with me after that. I think you shouldn’t approach women anywhere they need to be. Grocery store is a great example. I’ve been hit on at fucking Walmart before and that’s awkward as hell.

“Male banter” and yet that is objectively not the only time men use it against other men. Once again I’ll ask - so a man has never, ever, EVER shamed another man for not getting laid? That has never happened? Is that your argument?

Of course we shouldn’t just accept people’s shitty behavior. I never said we should just let that go? Men lament this phenomenon of women constantly getting attention and dates and having their lifestyles funded, even if they are awful people. Which tbh is overblowing it a little. But I’ll concede that there are a lot more desperate men than desperate women. Blaming women for men giving them attention and dating them no matter what is silly as fuck.

You’re conflating “victimhood mentality” with stating obvious facts. It’s not “having a victim mentality” to say that I’m more likely to be murdered by my partner than the average man is. That’s just reality. It would be different if I believed every man was a murderer or if I refused to interact with men because I was too afraid of them.

If you’re only dating women who do this then clearly you are attracting some really toxic women. Since you missed the point, I’ll make it clearer. Being held in suspicion and being treated like you’ve done something wrong when you haven’t feels horrible. We shouldn’t normalize dating people who have zero trust in us. That’s how toxic relationships happen.

But…. It wasn’t? Comphet in a feminist lens is the idea that some queer women throughout history have experienced societal pressures that result in them acting heterosexual - marrying men, having children with men, and living life without ever dating women - which is actually well documented and not “feminist nonsense.” That’s like saying that the fact that women sometimes disguised themselves as men to fight in wars or become doctors is “feminist nonsense.” It’s a fact. I wouldn’t say men benefit *more* than women. In an ideal partnership it’s equal. That being said marriage offers certain security to both parties that, in some cases, ensures that a woman isn’t going to be left destitute and parenting solo in the case of a divorce. Thinking about my own parents, my dad cheated and walked out, if they hadn’t been legally married my mom wouldn’t have been able to file for child support and alimony as easily. After having multiple children close in age and having …

Why is this always about paternity? If a woman who has been faithful is suddenly accused of lying and having planned to lie indefinitely, is she not supposed to react? Is the problem that most women won’t “yes dear, your accusation doesn’t hurt my feelings and make me seriously doubt the integrity of our relationship” when they’re accused of something so awful? Women don’t have unchecked power.

I love the Dr. Strange run that starts in 2015. And there’s this series from last year called TAMA that I really enjoyed. Under this system women would be ruinously punished for saying no to sex. Women would, as a whole, stop getting married.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 01:09 AM

So you think being able to rape people is an advantage? You’re clearly lacking in some reading comprehension. Women who give up careers but are eligible for child support are not at an advantage - that’s basically achieving equilibrium. Don’t like it? Don’t date or marry someone who wants kids. Don’t date or marry someone who wants to be a SAHM. Problem solved. You want men to have more privilege over women. You don’t want things to be equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 07:27 PM

If contractually enforced rape was suddenly a part of traditional marriage, the divorce rate would skyrocket and women would probably stop getting married en masse.

Right, alimony (which is awarded in 10% of divorces) and child support (to take care of kids) are such huge legal advantages in a marriage. /s Women are more likely than men to sacrifice career progression and earning potential due to being the ones to have kids. Women are also more likely to be initially awarded primary custody (which is the real “”legal advantage”” but you’re not even concerned with that evidently) so like, you think it’s some kind of advantage to require the other parent to p…

If you limit the data to intimate partner violence it is pretty close. If you talk about murder in general, men commit far more murders statistically. In 2024 in the U.S., 1,902 women were convicted of murder, meanwhile 13,469 men were convicted of murder. Once again, if we broaden the scope of sexual assault, 81% of women have reported experiencing it in their lifetime - 43% of men can say the same. And I wouldn’t be shocked if much of that 43% has come from other men.

I think this is a bit of a reductive take on something that is on a macro level. More men want to date and have sex with women than the reverse. It creates an imbalance. Meaning, if having someone who will pay for dates all the time is important to a woman, she can more easily hold out for that, whereas if a guy has the same expectation, he’s likely not going to have enough options to even think about it. Men, as a whole, as a society, make dating harder, because tons of them want to have casual…

I don’t agree that sex is “not pleasant at best,” and I think maybe that speaks to your choice in partners more than anything else. The main reasons women don’t seek out casual sex at the same rate as men are social stigmas, physical safety, and pregnancy risk. If we could somehow address all 3, I suppose things would even out somewhat. Other than that, I agree with you. Certain men tend to think that sex = dating, and that women by default have it easier because it’s easier for women to get sex…

“Not worth it” implies that making any effort to stay together won’t pay off in a justifiable way. Yes, it needs to be seen in context - but the way you painted this scenario is what I’m commenting on. You said “communicating with his wife,” and “doing therapy,” and “chores” are a waste of time. I think the waters of consent are muddied when you introduce money and a power dynamic. If a woman wouldn’t normally consent to sex with a person, but the person offers money in exchange for sex, that consent isn’t 100% freely given. There’s an incentive to have sex that wouldn’t normally be there. If someone has had a lot of partners but hasn’t paid for sex, they probably have always received total, enthusiastic consent from everyone they’ve boned. That’s not to say that I’d personally be okay …

I try not to see it that way. I learned a lot about myself and about what I want in a partner from my ex. I learned a lot about what I can and can’t tolerate from dating around when I was newly single. I feel like my current relationship is much stronger and healthier because of all that I got from my past experiences. The version of myself that I have now is more mature and well rounded and frankly a better partner
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 04:35 AM

It’s really not that complicated. You made a choice to cheat on your wife. There’s never a valid reason to do so. I hope you’re either now separated or you treat her better. What a terrible thing to do to someone you swore to honor and love eternally.

I think almost all could agree that almost all confrontation between men has an underlying threat of violence. So you can see where women are coming from when we say men can be really threatening? like that won’t immediately label you a loser and get outgrouped by the very people you’re trying to educate. So you’d rather let misogyny and sexism slide because you don’t want to be a social outcast? That’s fine, but do you see that that’s kind of the problem? Too many men are afraid of being seen a…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 09:15 PM

So feminists should all be shamed for the actions of a few? What about RP/the manosphere creating Elliot Rodger? The rape academy? Alek Minassian? Andrew Tate? You must individually face consequences for their actions if all feminists have to face consequences for the actions of Amber Heard and whoever else you mentioned. If feminism as a whole has to be questioned due to the actions of a cherry-picked few, the same goes for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 09:12 PM

So every person who identifies as a feminist is nasty? 58% of women worldwide are nasty? Based on what? If you take such issue with feminism as a concept then say that. If you have seen a select few bad feminists then point that out. “All feminists are nasty and mean so I will be nasty and mean” makes it sooooo fucking hard to take people like you seriously.

“Women say x” “women say y” women aren’t all a hive mind. Some women don’t want to be approached at bars or clubs. Some women go out hoping to be hit on.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 06:30 PM

I literally said that I don’t think it happens every time and that every man is going to be a creep. I think you’re intentionally misunderstanding my argument to try to paint me as something that I’m not.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 06:28 PM

I read some study somewhere that said young adults nowadays have social circles that are 1/3 the size of the ones our parents had. Can’t remember if that was the exact number or not but it was around there. The world has moved online and it feels wrong because that’s not how we’re supposed to operate
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:35 PM

I think you touched on the most important point - the social institutions that we used to connect within are gone, or are inaccessible, or have moved online. Too often when I hear discourse about approaching women or just people in general I think people forget that bars used to be where you’d go linger after work, more people went out clubbing or dancing or to events, and the “cold approaches” that happened there were not as cold as we think now.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:23 PM

So if a man comes up to me and tries to start a conversation I’m not allowed to remove myself or say no because I’m “treating him like a criminal” otherwise?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:09 PM

Yup. I think women everywhere would be 10000% fine being cold approached if everyone could take no for an answer
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:08 PM

To me, a cold approach is somewhere that isn’t really social - a few examples that I think of are train stations, stores, the gym, work, basically anywhere that people aren’t voluntarily going to spend a lot of time and talk to people - and is done pretty much cold. As in, stranger walks up, says hi, starts a conversation that is pretty clearly meant to be a pick up. A warm approach is either in those places BUT with someone you already know, or in a more social setting - bar, club, social outin…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:04 PM

I’m not treating strange men like criminals though? I’m not advocating for them to be thrown in jail. I’m not advocating for all women to pepper spray men the second they say hi. I’m explaining why I don’t like being cold approached. I’ve also been followed home, followed in a grocery store, followed to work, have had someone wait outside my dorm room after I politely declined them, and been grabbed or touched inappropriately and nonconsensually by people who “cold approached” me. Why doesn’t my…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 04:58 PM

How is me being cautious around men that I don’t know “punishing” anyone? Am I punishing my neighbors by locking my doors at night? Am I punishing everyone at the bar if I keep a close eye on my drink? Am I punishing everyone else at work when I lock my car after getting out? Am I punishing my boyfriend when I ask him to wear a condom?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 04:56 PM

I’m genuinely curious to see the responses. I think men don’t like feeling generalized- it sucks when someone assumes that you will do certain things or act a certain way, but a lot of women have had genuinely terrifying experiences being approached. When I was 19 and in college, a man approached me at a train station. I politely engaged with him in conversation when he complimented my shoes, but he then moved on to complimenting my body and telling me what he’d like to do to it. I moved away an…

BP doesn’t claim to have dating solutions. BP is just “not RP.” I’ll say it again though - the people I’ve met irl that follow the RP are the most single motherfuckers I’ve ever met. The normal people (the blue pill people) are the ones that date and fuck and generally don’t spend hundreds of hours watching videos on gender politics and advocating for women to lower their standards

My opinion is based off of living in the real world and interacting with a wide variety of people. Many people I know who have fallen down the RP hole are single, unhappy, and mean. I don’t think the comparison is quite the same? Because it’s objectively not the case that all men are that obsessed with women and female validation. Plenty of guys voluntarily choose to not date. Plenty of guys have their own hobbies and interests that are completely devoid of women and/or just aren’t done for the sake of women. Fixating so hard on anything that it becomes the only thing you think about is pretty objectively unhealthy.

Selling men’s bodies to women is an unviable business model because women aren’t like men. Men objectify women’s bodies which is why you can sell the female body but not the male. It’s not autosexuality because you don’t like it. Men and women are different and experience sexuality differently.

A man is still the target for most woken …. You just don’t think it’s the right way because it’s less about “oooh penis” and more “I bet sex with this man would be great” I’ve said this on another thread on this topic but the inability to recognize that men and women are different and the insistence on “women are lying about their sexuality” tells me that you aren’t actually interested in discussing the differences in male vs female sexuality, and you’d rather “women bad” all day
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 01:21 AM

>object oriented sexuality So your entire argument is that because women don’t *objectify* men like men do to us, none of us are straight? Instead of recognizing that men and women are different, all women are liars because we don’t act like men? Have you consumed every piece of women’s erotica? Is it not a worthwhile debate? Or is it just that the logic you apply to women’s heterosexuality in order to try to render it a lie in your own mind does the same to men’s heterosexuality? Why does so much straight porn center on the worship of penises? Why is it that dudes will watch POV blowjob porn and get off to it? If a woman getting off to porn of a woman experiencing pleasure isn’t straight, isn’t a man getting off to porn of a man experiencing pleasure not straight either?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 12:55 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 12:41 AM

It would have to be a pretty significant difference to make me want to become fully dependent on a man. Even if it was like 20+ years of difference, the odds of me being able to live off of one shared income with my partner and kids are very small and getting smaller by the day.

It’s just not true that the “overwhelming majority” of men cannot view women as human beings. Go ask other men in your life if they think women are humans too. You might find that you’re alone on this one.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 04:59 PM
15

You said “guys can’t,” and yet plenty of men are fully able to treat women like human beings because we are all human beings. It sounds to me like you’re projecting because you yourself don’t view women as human, and yet you still want to date women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 04:28 PM
22

Dehumanizing those that you don’t share experiences with is an incredibly strange argument though. The justification of “we just don’t live the same life” seems like a poor reason. If someone is a different skin color do you not see them as human? What about religion? If someone isn’t in the same socioeconomic class as you do you not view them as a human being?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 04:04 PM
36

So you don’t think you can treat women like humans because you can’t relate to them? By that logic, anyone who hasn’t lived a similar experience to you is completely outside the realm of “human” to you.

In fact I’ve met several guys who explicitly said feminism isn’t promoting equality “because it has feminine in the name,” despite clarifying that they are ideologically aligned with feminism and equality in general. Mainstream feminism oftentimes has a bad reputation because it’s like claiming a religious identity - anyone can *say* they’re a feminist, and there are a lot of people who self-identify as feminists, w…

Some women care about those things. For some women, it’s the most important thing. Others don’t care. Y’all want to believe that all women are terribly shallow because in your minds, it soothes the pain of loneliness. Because if you can define all women as shallow, it feels easier to explain why you as individuals have no luck. So instead of reflecting on what might be making you an unpleasant person to be around, you spiral into misogynistic views and cruel generalizations, and for maybe a tiny…

While you’re right, I think a lot of RP guys place zero value on relationships and would rather stick to just having casual sex with women who have low enough self esteem to fall for the standard tactics.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 04:18 AM
5

And here, we can observe yet another man who can fully recognize that RP is bad advice, and yet will still extol its virtues because it justifies saying nasty and untrue shit about women.

So it’s good advice, but it doesn’t work, and is almost impossible to achieve… which makes it bad advice. Gotcha.

There’s no point in engaging with you if you’re going to decide that you can say the data is whatever you want it to be in order to support your argument. That’s not debating in good faith.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:48 AM

Do you have a source for your 50% claim? Because everything I can find shows that that number is much lower. People are already willingly becoming teachers. People are willingly staying in the profession. There is no entitlement to saying that kids should have access to education. What’s more entitled is suggesting that everyone that comes after you shouldn’t have access to the same things you had handed to you for free. I never said housing or education were primary needs. You’re hallucinating.…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:40 AM

The mortality rate for unhoused people is 3.5x greater than the mortality rate for housed people. So yes, people who go without housing die from lack of housing.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:36 AM

If sex was truly necessary, people who voluntarily go without it would die. Similarly to how people who starve themselves die.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:20 AM

Recent data suggests that nearly 7 in 10 adults report feelings of isolation, loneliness, and lack of fulfillment. That’s a bigger problem than, again, a minority of men not getting enough sex for their tastes. Saying “kids should have access to education” is not “I am entitled to other people’s labor.” Those are two completely different sentences and I am not sure how you mental gymnastics-ed your way from what I said to an entirely new sentence with an entirely different meaning. The lowest ti…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:12 AM

So you think we should stop educating and housing everyone because some men can’t get laid? As one of the people who provides the services, I don’t think it’s entitled to suggest that we should educate kids. There’s all kinds of data about how poorly educated societies often fall into fascism or even just disarray. A lack of public education creates a societal stratification that leads to much bigger issues than the minority of men not getting laid. “Just carry it with you” is the kind of statem…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:52 AM

I never said your housing situation was relevant to getting a job, but actually now that you mention it, it is. You can’t vote without an address to be registered by, and you cannot safely store legal documents like a birth certificate or social security card if you’re unhoused. Legal documents that, in many cases, you need to be able to provide for employment reasons. Sure, you don’t need an education for every job under the sun. There are plenty of jobs out there that don’t require a bachelor’…

Except I’m not arguing for it. You’re twisting my words. “For a lot of guys it’s the same. They get neither” That makes literally zero sense. They aren’t the same thing, even if you are both socially and romantically/sexually lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:20 AM

People should be owed housing and education because you cannot get a sustainable job without education and you are likely to die by means beyond your own control without housing, at least in some parts of the world. Sex is never a necessity. We know this because people survive without it all the time. Sex is like a six figure career - you might be happier if you have it, but you will survive without it, and you might have to put in effort that other people don’t to achieve it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:15 AM
2

> Man women will argue tooth and nail for undesirable men to die lonely and miserable. Literally where did I ever say this? You must be hallucinating. > for a significant portion of men it’s the same thing. Sexual frustration and loneliness are two different things. The fact that you can’t differentiate between feeling sexually/romantically unfulfilled and feeling lonely and isolated speaks to the emotional intelligence gap more than anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:12 AM

Ok, and? Ohhh wait, you’re trying to imply that women all objectify men in the ways you’re describing? Because first of all, that’s not true. And even if it were, that’s entirely irrelevant to the topic at hand.

So I’m wrong for pointing out that RP messaging is fraught with negative and misogynistic generalizations about women, because there’s some truth to the misogyny? So what if I said “all men are rapists?” There’s some truth to that, so you can’t criticize that statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 02:41 PM

How about the “all women are lying about being straight” nonsense? “Women don’t see you as human if you’re unattractive?” “Women will only love you if you have money” “Women all lie about sexual assault” All shit I’ve seen in RP spaces recently. “But that’s not RP?” Well it’s how people keep representing RP.

If I was staying at home, I’d just want to be able to go do my own thing every now and then and maybe get dinner and see a movie with my partner every now and then. And men frequently can’t orgasm with a female partner and it gets talked about frequently. And it gets pushed onto the women as well. It’s almost like these phenomena are indicative of a small subset of people, and not representative of human sexuality as a whole. But again, that doesn’t support the narrative that all women are liars, so I’m gonna get downvoted
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 02:52 AM

And most women don’t have trouble orgasming. So what now
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 02:40 AM

And what about all the men who have hardship to orgasm? Or is that not relevant here because it doesn’t push the narrative that all women are liars
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 02:33 AM
2

So what’s your source for “many women can’t orgasm on their own?” Your head? What about all the guys who have watched so much porn that they can no longer orgasm with a partner? Sounds pretty broken to me
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 01:34 AM
2

Women are broken Oh, so we’re broken just because we aren’t like men?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 12:53 AM
2

Because there’s oftentimes two extremes when it comes to discussing women - either we are placed on a pedestal as the ultimate prize, or we are regarded as being inherently evil. We really are just people, and while it’s okay to desire a partner, it’s not healthy for anyone if you treat us like anything other than a standard issue person.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 12:18 AM

I’m talking about reciprocating oral. Because there’s not exactly an abundance of men out there willing to exclusively do oral and not receive it, and there’s not exactly a lack of a social stigma around women who have casual hookups even if it is just oral.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 12:17 AM
2

So, anal or oral? Which can oftentimes be painful for women? And are harder for the average woman to orgasm from?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 11:52 PM
4

So then you shouldn’t label yourself as straight, but rather “brunettesexual” or “virginsexual” because you aren’t straight. If women can’t claim to be straight if they’re not attracted to every man, then nobody is straight. Also, by your own logic, most men are sexual narcissists. Go on relationship advice or even just talk to a woman who has sex with men and report back with the details on how much their male partners make them orgasm.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 11:47 PM

You’re spiraling and getting off topic. I never once said that it was your responsibility to fix any of that? And I’m not sure why you think that’s a logical conclusion here. I dated a cheater. As soon as I found out I left him. I was told I “should have chosen better” after I told a certain person about my experience. Why do you think that’s an appropriate response to me lamenting about getting cheated on? Obviously women should try to make good choices, and having children with criminals is a …

To be honest I don’t keep up with a lot of mainstream media beyond the NYT these days. I feel like the articles I see have much more to do with current events like whatever the president has been up to lately, or which foreign country has had a change in leadership. So when I see gender discourse or some eye-grabbing feminist title pop up from something like Vogue it definitely feels like a desperate plea for media attention more than real-life discourse.

Men and women are different and oftentimes express/experience attraction differently. I’m very attracted to my boyfriend. I wouldn’t seek out a male stripper, pay for a male escort, or watch male solo porn. Does that mean I’m not attracted to my partner? Should I just let you define my relationship since you seem to understand attraction better than me?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 05:39 PM

“Queer” doesn’t mean “not attracted to men.” Lots of people use queer as a catch-all that includes bi- or pan-sexual.

What is this weird fixation on women’s sexuality recently? We don’t pay for male strippers and male onlyfans at the same rates that men do, and suddenly that means that none of us are attracted to men?

No, it doesn’t feel like a chore - I enjoy sex a lot whether or not I orgasm because it still feels good and it’s my favorite way to connect with my partner. I just think it would heighten my enjoyment if I could reliably orgasm, and I would probably initiate more than I already do. If you’re not open to dating people who aren’t your ideal partner then “I have no options” just isn’t true. Like someone else in this thread said, most men DO have options, just not options that they’d be interested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 11:03 PM

You’re blatantly lying. You don’t want to acknowledge that men do not have a monopoly on loneliness because it feels better to make women the villain 100% of the time. Real “men are perfect and wonderful” mentality.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:47 PM
10

Because the same men who complain about not having options are oftentimes the same men who will consistently bash and demean fat women, women who have a lot of sexual history, and women with children from previous relationships. If you’re going to claim men have no options, but then insist that some women are beneath you or unattractive to you, it’s hard to believe that you truly don’t have options.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:42 PM

When will you people realize that there are women who also get no matches, no attraction, no approaches, no signs of interest, and no real romantic success? Just because men are the loudest when it comes to lacking dating success doesn’t mean they have the monopoly on “not having any options”

I’m not sure why people like you will bitch and moan about how women don’t care about men’s dating woes, but you’ll flat out ignore the fact that there are women out there who also struggle with dating. You can’t expect sympathy or solutions when you won’t even recognize that women aren’t all living a perfect fantasy life.

How could a woman make her attraction believable in your opinion?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 04:56 PM
2

No, the principle is not the same. Someone I don’t know saying “I’m a Nigerian prince” is a situation one wouldn’t take at face value. Your partner telling you and showing you that they’re attracted to is someone showing and telling you that they’re attracted to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 04:32 PM

That sub’s entire goal is to paint women as liars and manipulators and to foster a sense of distrust of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 04:29 PM

That’s not the same thing as a real life person that you know and interact with?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 04:26 PM

So if a woman acts like she’s attracted to you, tells you she’s attracted to you, and does things to show you she’s attracted to you, you still choose to believe that she isn’t attracted to you?

Dude, most people who watch porn are probably watching things that they wouldn’t do irl. A lot of guys like threesome/gangbang porn but are monogamous and not into the idea of sharing. A lot of women watch lesbian porn. Both involve seeing the same sex in porn and getting off to it. This level of fixation on women’s sexuality and arousal is weird and unhealthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 03:08 PM

I think it’s valid to care about your partner’s porn habits but not about an entire gender’s porn habits. It’s giving OCD

If you’ve gone so far down some weird rabbit hole where you need to do shit like this to get off, you need to talk to someone because that isn’t normal.

So if a woman has given birth to a child and is working, and a man is just working, who has provided more value there?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 02:22 PM
5

Again, the narrative is almost always “she just doesn’t find him as attractive” when in reality nobody is going to intentionally not engage in a sex act that they find pleasurable. Like do you see how stupid that is? If I liked a sex act previously, I’m not going to deprive my current partner of it because that’s just dumb. It’s easier to blame and villainize women than it is to stop dating people you aren’t sexually compatible with. Plain and simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 02:01 PM
9

So this must have happened to you, surely? I think it’s insane how women can say no to things because they hurt, or weren’t enjoyable, or were degrading, and the narrative somehow gets shifted to “she’s lying, it’s just because she doesn’t find her current partner as attractive as her ex” Like if you really don’t trust women at all, don’t engage with us?

Did you know that people who are in content, 50/50 relationships are not the ones bitching and moaning online? You seem very confident that all women behave this way so I guess I figured you had data points beyond other people complaining.

That’s not a flex dude. The reason I said that is because you assumed “so many women take big dicks.” In reality, most women are having sex with men with average size dicks. You’re just brainrotted from porn.

There’s a whole community of incels online who speak very graphically about how they want to hurt women because they won’t date them. The entire redpill community wants to nitpick and critici…

Scenario 2 hardly ever happens. What happens is, dudes get upset when a woman has tried something in the past, legitimately does not like it, and refuses to do it again. It’s like people interpret it as scenario 2 when it’s actually scenario 1. I’ve seen dudes crash out over their partner having tried anal and refusing to do it again because it hurt, having had a threesome and not wanting to do it again because it ruined a relationship, or having previously tried BDSM/kink and not wanting to try…

Can you cite a source for that? I’m just curious. Additionally, “just not wanting them” can still be influenced by a myriad of factors. It’s hard to ever even sit down and seriously think about having children when you have to dedicate most of your waking hours to working and grinding, and it’s easy to settle on “I just don’t want them” if there’s multiple factors that make having them unappealing. Or just downvote me for asking, lmaooo

Well, yes, I never suggested it wasn’t valid or reasonable. I just don’t think we can say for certain that the projected 45% of single, childless women will all be women who intentionally chose to be single and childless and who never wanted relationships or children.

While I’m pretty anti-manosphere in general and will always support a woman’s right to choose the kind of life she wants, I don’t truly believe that nearly half of women genuinely want to stay single AND childless. Maybe one or the other, but both? Idk. I say that because, as a mid 20s woman who spends a ton of time with other mid 20s women, a lot of the reasons I hear for not wanting kids are problems that could be solved, and not a genuine lack of desire to be a parent. While I agree with your observation that a lot of guys here tend to hyperfocus on sex, feeling like their partner is doing everything with them that they ever did with previous partners, and virginity, I also think that this is a microcosm of the internet that represents a minuscule portion of the lonely men out there.

Personally I like kinky sex and I enjoy it with my partner. I think we do like 50/50 kinky and vanilla. So I’m not sure if you saying “kinky sex is honestly less appealing” can apply to everyone. It’s always “no one does this” but people actually do. I got called ran through before I even lost my virginity simply because I’d dated guys before. I’ve seen women get called ran through or used up irl and by people who certainly aren’t under the guise of anonymity.

While I agree that young boys need individuality and the liberation to explore how they want to connect to masculinity/femininity, I think the idea of “positive masculinity” came about because of the rigidity many men have around the idea of exploring ANYTHING feminine. This is not necessarily the fault of individual men, it’s a societal thing. Like for example if I showed up to work tomorrow wearing a button down and slacks and a tie, nobody would care, but if my male colleague came in a dress …

This speaks to just how little consideration men have for the struggles of other men. For many guys, men’s issues only exist when a woman is talking about how she’s scared to get pregnant in a state with abortion bans, or when she’s crying about an abusive partner. It’s like the very real and very serious issues men face only exist in their minds as an uno reverse card instead of real world problems.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 12:07 PM

Sure, in part. But when you pair that with the fact that many women have a horror story involving a man, it’s not hard to see why many women do not have an overall favorable view of men.

We hate “choose better” because it protects men from any blame or accountability for their actions. Woman gets beaten by her partner? She should have chosen better. Woman gets abandoned after she had kids with him? She should have chosen better. Woman gets cheated on? She should have chosen better. First of all, you cast some pretty wide generalizations about all men here. Not every guy is a feminist, or college educated, or “more open to engage in therapy.” And if those things are all only happening in the hopes of attracting a woman, are they genuine at all? In addition to that, fewer women have positive views of men because men keep doing heinous shit to women. Look at that news story of the guy who killed his partner and then blended her remains. Or the news story of the woman who died…

Yet another “women should lower their standards” take. Dating isn’t a ranked matching system. You’re not limited to dating people who are on the same footing in terms of looks, status, personality, whatever. You do realize that you can have standards too, correct?

Well a lot of the guys looking to self improve are looking to do so because of women. I’m not saying that’s a good thing, it’s just something I’ve noticed. Men should start focusing on themselves and improving their lives because it makes their lives better, not to please and attract women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 03:12 PM

At the end of the day, have whatever standards you want. Most people do not care and do not have to care. I think where you’re missing some nuance is where people, male and female, use their standards and boundaries to justify bullying or disparaging. For example, women who don’t want to date short men will sometimes rip on short men for no reason. Men who don’t want to date fat girls will call them disgusting or ugly. Why do you think so many women are cold and standoffish towards men? Why do you think so many women have opted to remain single or to very tightly filter their dating prospects? Women bring up rape, assault, and domestic violence because men are so often clueless about what goes on in women’s minds. Almost every woman I know has a story. Many people aren’t aware of the significantly higher risk of suicide in men, and many people (men included) still hold patriarchal views about men and what emotions they can/should share or express and how they should do so.

I’m aware that some women are in higher demand than others. The issue is that nobody has a right to their ideal partner. Not men, not women, nobody. So while it’s fine to go look elsewhere for your ideal partner, leveraging your wealth and privilege to do so, while having little to no regard for said partner’s culture, language, and identity, is something that people can and will criticize.

Two things can be true at once. A man who is terminally single and a misogynist can repel women because he’s a misogynist, and because he isn’t hot or rich enough to attract women who are willing to overlook every red flag in the name of money.

Tbey get a special pass for it. Nice whataboutism. Disparaging an entire sex for the crime of not being interested is wrong no matter who does it. Some women doing the same thing doesn’t make it okay for men to do it too. Calling women racist for having qualms about PPBs is certainly a take, considering many of the posts on the PPB subreddits are from men specifically going to poor countries and bragging about how many women they fuck. Or someone “more family oriented.” That one is funny to me because the same men will lament the fact that they believe women want to have their lifestyles bankrolled, meanwhile in many other parts of the world the traditional expectation is that the man works and the woman stays home.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 01:00 PM

Most people do not give a flying fuck about passport bros as a concept. Myself included. The issue people take with passport bros is when said passport bros disparage and demean women in their home countries (as you did) simply because they couldn’t get laid there. It gives the impression that you just want to go find someone who will put up with your bullshit because you’re a rich exotic foreigner who can get them out of a potentially not great living situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 12:56 PM

So long as your defense strategy is to obfuscate how you feel towards men that you feel don’t deserve to know your true emotions, the more you make it harder for men to respect your boundaries. How can I respect what I can’t identify? So like, your point is almost valid, except there are definitely boundaries that you should know not to cross regardless of whether or not someone is being vague with you.

Yet this here is exactly what women demand from men. Women don’t collectively demand this from men. Most women are happy to provide in their own ways for their partners, whether it be through having their kids, keeping their home, being an equal partner, etc etc. This is a sweeping and negative generalization that makes me think you actually just don’t like women to begin with.

Extremely selfish and a bad view of love? What, we should all date people who objectively make our lives worse now? Lmao People pick their partners based off of what they do for them. A man picks a woman maybe because she’s pretty, or she makes him feel happy, or she makes life feel easier. Same thing for a woman. You’re also making a thinly veiled argument that people should stay in abusive relationships no matter what.

Translation: “women bad” Like what do you have to back this up? Just “I said so?” Because I see a lot of women wind up in relationships with terrible men that don’t cook, don’t clean, don’t pay for shit, and don’t treat her well. I’m not sure why this is being leveled as some sort of accusation when it’s a general truth of every relationship. If you’re a self-respecting, mentally stable person, you’re not going to keep the company of someone that makes your life objectively worse. Everyone in your life does something for you - makes you happier, keeps you company, helps the everyday drudgery of life feel less awful, etc etc etc. Every relationship, platonic, familial, or romantic, is based off of filling some need in one…

“The friend zone” is merely a term associated with the phenomenon of unrequited love. It’s real, and I’ve put several people in it. I think it’s oftentimes weaponized to make women seem bitchy, and to discourage men from seeking fulfilling friendships with women. As in, I was oftentimes criticized for “friend zoning” a close friend that had feelings for me, when I simply wasn’t attracted to him but wanted to remain friends, and he felt justified in ignoring me and talking shit about me because I…

Hey, I was in the same boat. Eat more, and eat lots of protein. If you’re financially stable and can afford it, maybe look into hiring a personal trainer or a nutritionist to help you out. Also try creatine
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 10:47 PM

What if you suddenly lost your job, had an emergency, or otherwise lost your ability to pay for hired help? Cooking and cleaning are survival skills. Ones that, should you be wealthy enough, you can outsource all you want. I think the expectation that you will/should never have to cook or clean is the one OP takes issue with.

It’s cruel to suggest that minors should be able to get abortions, but it’s not cruel to force a child to live with a permanent reminder of trauma and experience a pregnancy that her body might not be equipped to handle? I don’t say this lightly. You are a misogynist. You are openly making claims that women should suffer and die for the actions of others, and that women should be forced to carry pregnancies that they don’t want or that are killing them. That is misogyny. You hate women.

To people like him those deaths are acceptable because women had sex and we should learn to accept that we might die for doing so. It’s just misogyny, plain and simple.

but going from “a couple guys were weird/creepy” to “it makes sense to be generally untrusting of men” is where people are gonna disagree. And why is that? Being “generally untrusting of men” seems to be a pretty natural byproduct of experiencing harassment, ogling, or worse, especially when it happens multiple times over an extended period. That doesn’t mean hating men, or treating men like shit is justified. But being wary and cautious after experiencing negative interactions with men is somet…

I do think men sometimes misinterpret women’s expressions of anxiety or upset about gender-based violence as generalizations. I’m saying this as someone who has a predominantly male social circle and who has a loving boyfriend - I am very cautious around men I don’t know. Does that mean I am rude or standoffish, or that I’m going to call 911 anytime someone looks at me? No. It’s more like, I’m not going to be alone with a stranger if I can help it, and I might hold on to my purse a little tighte…

Women die because of people who think like this. Women who live in states with total abortion bans are twice as likely to die during pregnancy due to the fact that life-saving measures are often delayed or denied if they pose any risk to the fetus. Women who have non viable, intentional and wanted pregnancies die when they cannot have a dead or dying fetus removed. Why should a fetus be protected from the sins of its father, but a living, breathing, already existing and living independently chil…

The problem is the data is painted as patterns, and the patterns are painted as absolutes. If 33% of women go on dates just for free food, saying “all women go on dates just for free food” or even just “women go on dates just for free food” is not only intentionally misleading, it paints women in an unfair light and implies that we are all users. “Not All Men”is typically in response to women discussing safety concerns. Gender-based violence disproportionately impacts women. “Women aren’t a monolith” is typically in response to general complaints about women. Those contexts are incredibly different.

dispel every concern they have You can’t logic your way out of the fact that porn addiction is real, ogling other women is disrespectful, and the industry harms women. Hard agree. I am not sure why it’s socially normal to stop looking at other people’s nudes when you enter into a relationship, but it’s actually okay as long as you don’t know the person? The justification and defending of porn is something that is riddled with mental gymnastics. At the end of the day let people do what they want but I feel like being pro-porn-in-relationships isn’t a logically defensible position.

I think the sexual revolution and the prevalence of the porn industry (specifically OF) are connected but ultimately two separate phenomena. Other than that I agree with you, mostly. Your grandma was an exception, not the norm. In the 40s the men’s average salary was double women’s average salary. Marriage was a necessity for women if they wanted long term stability.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 09:50 PM
5

It was more of a necessity for women than men. Inheritance was traced by sons, not daughters. Basic rights came to men first, not women. When your family resources were all going to your brother and you couldn’t go to college, you got married. Women in the U.S. and many western countries could either be a teacher or a nurse, or maybe a seamstress. The options were limited. It was either “womanly” jobs, or being a wife and mother. Men have never experienced those same restrictions.

It’s almost like this is a well-documented phenomenon and there are women alive today who grew up in a time where women either married out of necessity or had arranged marriages to men their families picked. But none of that matters to you because it doesn’t make women look bad enough for you.

If you go far back enough in history, women oftentimes didn’t even have to consent to marriage. They’d get married off as political pawns if they were rich, or for financial gain for their family. In the more recent past, women couldn’t access higher education or many higher paying fields, so it was either marry who mom and dad picked out or live at home forever. They aren’t? Women get blamed for men’s actions all the time. “She was asking for it,” “she was leading him on,” “she chose an asshole,” etc etc etc The interesting hobbies bit is purely because men complain about struggling to meet women online and it’s an easy way to set yourself apart from the masses.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 05:32 PM

I mean yeah. It is. I’ve ended a relationship over this. Not sure who’d disagree with you
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 05:30 PM

I asked you what you think the benefits of “blaming women more” are and what you want to happen and you haven’t answered. I also never said that you were advocating for rape or forced marriages. You extrapolated that from my comment somehow. I’m not sure if you’re a reliable authority on what constitutes good discussion if you’re the one who is refusing to engage in it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 05:03 PM

So what do you think should happen? And how do you think “blaming women more” would fix anything for anyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 04:28 PM

a system is failing because one group is setting impossible standards Dating isn’t a system, and saying “it’s failing” because it’s not working in your favor isn’t a valid argument. Dating is working, for the first time ever, in a way that lets women have total consent in their relationships. For hundreds of years women were forcibly married off and made to pump out kids. Now, a woman can have a stable career and a fulfilling life, hell even a family, without involving a man if she doesn’t want …

Respect? Yes, in fact I’m pretty envious of people who have jobs that allow for 2-3 hours of free time, flexibility with schedules, and beer over lunch. I think I’d lose a lot of respect if my partner had a job like that (he does tbh) and he didn’t pick up a little more of the housework. Because if your job gives you 2-3 hours of free time plus no commute, while the other person is commuting and also doesn’t have that window of whatever time, it creates a pretty significant imbalance in free tim…

Men are more likely to be assaulted by another man than by their female romantic partner. Also, it’s not “waayy more.” There’s differing data on how much IPV is committed by men and women, but most studies have a nearly 50/50 split, unless there’s some secret other data you want to provide me with?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 08:40 AM

There doesn’t exist a solution as it stands right now. Personally? I think humanity should continue, but with everyone isolating and the world moving online I don’t think we’re on the right path to making that happen.

The odds for men getting raped or battered meeting a woman for the first time are even lower
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 08:36 AM

I find it really interesting that you hand the human extinction hat on “nobody HAS to do anything” and not the fact that having a child and raising it in a healthy, stable environment is nigh impossible for many people around the world right now. If there is a dusk of humanity, it’s going to be more to do with late stage capitalism than women’s freedom to say no.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 08:27 AM

Where are you getting “over 70 percent” from? I’m specifically talking about violence within dating, not in a relationship. As in, going out to meet someone for the first time at a bar/restaurant/whatever. Women are more likely to be assaulted in those encounters than men are.

PUA/TRP are oftentimes well meaning in that there are social skills that people need to learn in order to be successful dating, but a lot of PUA/TRP spaces are so full of covert or outright misogyny that those views end up getting sort of bundled in with the social skills that people want to learn to be successful in dating. Learning social skills good. Learning social skills from people who believe women are objects bad.

Yes… making generalizing and rude comments towards an entire gender would render one an ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 05:00 PM

I’m not disagreeing with you. There are social consequences for being an ass. Big surprise. I find it interesting that you claim you aren’t making any implications about what should or shouldn’t happen, but you make a roundabout claim about how you’re being “silenced” and you have to go to anonymous forums to “speak the truth” about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 04:18 PM
-1

Otherwise you will be labeled a misogynist and suffer social repercussions. You’re mad that people don’t like it when you’re generalizing women in a negative way. You have freedom of speech and can make decisions about how you want to interact with other people, and other people have those exact same freedoms. Why do you think you should be immune to consequences when you speak badly about women?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 04:03 PM

That isn’t a strawman. Your entire post is you complaining about how you don’t feel like you can openly shit talk 50% of the population because people don’t like it when you do that.

So the cons outweigh the pros, to you. Some people don’t want to be alone, some people want to start families, and those pros might be enough to outweigh all the cons. This is a highly individual subject that you’re attempting to project onto every man’s experience and goals.

Sex work is different from other jobs and it’s quite silly to act like it isn’t. There was a story about a high school teacher who did OnlyFans losing her job because the school found out. There was a study done on women’s happiness while single vs mens happiness while single. Guess who doesn’t mind the single life? Not every woman wants to or will fuck whoever though? It’s also pretty weird to equate sexual power with financial power. If you are hot and can get laid…. you’re hot and can get laid. That’s about the only benefit that comes from it. If you’re wealthy, well connected, a respected person in a field or community, there’s a lot more objective benefits that come with that. There are women out there who will try to use you, but most women won’t.

On top of that, they have to make sure each kid meets standards for graduating, which should be more. As a teacher myself I’ve gone through periods where I’ve had to work a second job just to stay afloat. So no, I don’t think teachers are paid enough.

There’s no real way to vet anybody’s character online. This isn’t a gendered thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 09:43 PM

Okay, so there was bad policy put in place with the intention of protecting victims over perpetrators. We can see that it didn’t work out and it got rescinded. What about MRAs who campaigned against a women’s right to an abortion and have found success there? What about MRAs who advocate for life sentences for women who cannot successfully prove their accusations, even if they are true? There are extremes to all ideologies that are bad. That doesn’t make the ideology itself bad.

Well, considering I’m not the Canadian government circa 2013, I don’t think I can give the most concrete answer but I can speculate on a few reasons why. We now know that intimate partner violence is committed by both men and women at about equal rates. The study that found that was not published until 2018, 5 years after Earl Silverman’s death. For a very long time, male-on-female IPV was the most visible due to available data and the fact that men who commit IPV are more likely to leave marks …

/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 06:26 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 06:09 PM

So do you actually talk to feminists or listen to anything we have to say, or have you just decided on your own that that’s what we want? Because that is not something that feminists want.

I just became familiar with that story not long ago. If I remember correctly, it was shut down due to lack of funding from the local government. I think it’s warranted because a lot of those vents can turn very misogynistic, very fast, if it’s a guy venting about his dating troubles. Do I think those people shouldn’t have a space to vent? No. I think it’s valid to be frustrated and upset, and talking about it can be helpful, but when you put it in a space where people frequently take it to extremes (Reddit in general) it can often do more harm than good.

Why aren’t men applying to be teachers then? Is it that it’s a job that they don’t want to do?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 04:28 PM

In the U.S. there’s a huge teacher shortage happening. A lot of schools, specifically rural ones, are experiencing understaffing and a lack of retention. It would be just plain idiotic to create any barriers to entering the field here, especially in public schools where the need is greatest. The best resolution is to invest more in education. It’s not a lucrative career - multiple men I know have commented on my decision to teach and reminded me that the pay is ass. The pay is ass. Maybe if the …

It probably is just that teaching isn’t as appealing to men Similarly to how most construction workers are male. It’s just not a job that women are seeking out.

I work in education. Men aren’t applying to be teachers or enrolling in degrees to become teachers. Women are filling these roles because men don’t want them. I think offering scholarships, reduced tuition, or accelerated degree programs for men could start to resolve this issue.

Yes, you can learn social skills. Think about learning a language. The fastest way to proficiency is through total immersion. The quickest way to develop your social skills is to throw yourself into social situations. If you live in a larger city or even just one with a university nearby, there are endless opportunities for socialization. Bars, parties, concerts, clubs, adult sports teams, just by going and talking to people a whole bunch you will learn what you need to learn.

A lot of it is just blatant entitlement. “Fairness” is when you get paid the same as someone who does the same job as you. “Fairness” is not you getting a shot with every girl you want because you’re struggling with dating and can’t find joy or meaning beyond pussy.

It’s not a matter of anti-abortion laws could harm women - they do. Women die when the fetus is prioritized over them. There’s been multiple high-profile cases of this happening recently.

So do you think that the government one day saying “okay, women can now work and you should hire them” would have been enough to make sure that women everywhere had a fair shot at entering the workforce?? “DEI”/ “affirmative action” policies were put in place to give women a fair shot at getting hired or getting into college. Because if they didn’t exist, companies would be allowed to turn down the best possible candidate for being a woman, employers would be allowed to ask about your pregnancy …

Affirmative action for women was necessary at a time, considering it was legal to refuse hiring women due to them potentially getting pregnant and needing to take time off, and incentivizing women opening businesses led to more women opening businesses and getting women into the workforce. Many women are either anti draft or support an equal draft, but the draft itself is so low on people’s lists nowadays because we haven’t used it in many people’s living memory and no politicians ever campaign …

But if the man was better than her it wasn’t an egalitarian relationship.

That has nothing to do with a relationship being egalitarian.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 02:31 PM

So your argument is that women are prone to leaving relationships when they’re unhappy, not that women don’t like egalitarian relationships.

Except neither person has to put up with anything they don’t like. Both parties are always capable of leaving the relationship.

So if two people are 6s according to you, and they have an egalitarian relationship where they split costs and household chores and childcare 50/50, how does the woman having a higher likelihood of being able to find someone else faster should she choose to leave make the man’s life harder or less equal? Explain like I’m 5, please.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 05:20 AM
23

What does that have to do with egalitarian relationships? In an egalitarian relationship, both parties contribute and share in responsibilities like paying for housing, kids, et cetera et cetera. You’re talking about something else entirely.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 05:08 AM
28

Your only definition of “egalitarian” centers on each person’s ability to find a new relationship as opposed to things that actually happen within the relationship. Framing women as more powerful by default because there are more men trying to date than there are women trying to date. In a truly egalitarian relationship both parties benefit because it’s about sharing expenses and decision making and the like, not whoever could exit the relationship and get laid the fastest.

As blue-pillers in USA-like nations, your aim is to help women. I asked you this yesterday and you didn’t answer, so I’ll ask again: since BP isn’t actually an ideology and is simply the antithesis of RP, is this an admission that RP folks hate women? Adding on to that - what are the specific observations regarding women not caring about the rules, and how are men not doing the same thing? Men still commit more crimes than women do. Men haven’t lost any rights in the wake of feminism, because po…

But….. you’re doing the exact same thing you’re complaining about? “Feminists will say x” okay did you ask feminists these questions? Did they all answer the same way? I have no idea how I’d react. I’d be heartbroken for one, and would probably be so for a long time. I don’t know how long I’d wait to move on or how it would affect my life. Everybody knows that people of both sexes are capable of being toxic or bad. This isn’t a pot calling the kettle black situation. You’re generalizing women as all being disrespectful of men’s boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 12:04 AM
13

So you’ve seen a few women disrespect boundaries. I’ve seen a few men disrespect boundaries. I’m not gonna make a post claiming that all men disrespect women’s boundaries because I know that I haven’t met every man on earth. It’s almost like everyone is capable of disrespecting other people’s boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 11:36 PM

So what about modern MRAs or red pillers going to extremes? Is that not a problem? Is it only bad when women behave poorly? Also, what specific examples of “social programming” are you talking about? Is it bad that women feel safe to talk about their experiences being assaulted?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 11:07 PM

Except dating is already globalized. You are already allowed to go to any part of the world to try to date.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 10:32 PM

As blue-pillers, you aim to help women. Blue pill isn’t a cohesive ideology like red pill. It’s simply, the antithesis of red pill. Are you acknowledging that red pill ideology is objectively harmful to women? Thanks to feminism I have the right to have a job, get paid equally, decide when I have children, and vote. If you think that’s harmful to society, then idk what to tell you.

I never said that couldn’t have an impact. I don’t think you understand what I said or you did not read it. Some of the women that OP refers to have likely grown up seeing women depend entirely on men. No job, no prospects, just motherhood. I’m not saying it’s okay or it’s not annoying when they make it their entire personality, but I’m explaining the phenomenon a little as a woman who has grown up watching women depend on men. You don’t have to want to date them. You don’t have to like it. But some women are proud of their independence …

We’re only like the 2nd/3rd generation where being independent is even an option, let alone a realistic one. Most of these women grew up seeing their moms or grandmas tied to a man and be reliant on a man. Also, some men do hate independent women. You clearly don’t like them. I wouldn’t even identify myself as the kind of person who throws my independence around as a talking point, and I’ve had guys tell me that I need to learn to listen to men more and that guys don’t like girls who care about …

I disagree. I think men should be open to it, and so should women, but only if it’s affordable for them and only if the interest is mutual. As in, if the vibes are great and both people have a great time, I think one person picking up the bill for both is a good way to signal interest and “lower the barrier” so to speak for them to keep seeing one another. I think the idea of men always paying for the first date is outdated - it comes from a time when women didn’t work and therefore couldn’t pay…

I dated someone who had been in my friend group for years. The relationship crashed and burned, and he hasn’t communicated with anyone in said friend group in years. I wouldn’t do that again, because if it doesn’t work out it creates a weird dynamic where you want to avoid each other and that causes problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 01:14 PM

Men struggle with dating because more of them want to do it. Women are by and large happier being single than men are. Because we are more likely to have stronger community ties, better relationships with our families, etc etc etc On top of that a lot of men would rather be in a shitty and unhappy relationship than be single. So the ones who are dating are all competing for a smaller pool of women who are less likely to settle.

That just isn’t the truth. What about ugly guys who pull boss babes that end up fully funding their lives? Don’t say that never happens - I know multiple couples like that. What about average guys who are in relationships with average women? Women are attracted to people who aren’t in “the apex” all the time. This is the problem. You’ve all become so terminally online that you’ve forgotten how real people work.

I hate when people bring up the stupid bear analogy. That was some terminally online bullshit, and if you genuinely believe that every woman alive would pick the bear, then you have no business trying to interact with women anyways since you clearly cannot differentiate between the individual and the whole. We did not “almost universally answer” that question. You fell victim to sensationalism. All that being said, women fear men in specific contexts. I’d be scared shitless if a guy came up to m…

I’m receiving the full girlfriend treatment. Because I’m his girlfriend. I’m not the world’s most romantic person. I am a black cat. I like my alone time and my private space. I don’t care if he did a bunch of huge romantic gestures for his ex and I couldn’t care less if he paid for her nails or her purses or whatever. I’m a different person with different needs and wants.

He bought her a lot of stuff, like clothes and the like, and paid for her nails/hair/etc while also helping her with a place to stay. I don’t expect that same treatment because I also know he felt pressured to do all of that in his first relationship, and he had low self esteem that led him to believe that that was all necessary in order to keep his ex around. If he was willing to cook, clean, be the primary caretaker of our kids, and manage the finances, I wouldn’t have an issue with it as long as I made enough to support both of us plus kids and hit all our financial goals Problem is that’s not feasible for people in my age bracket at this point and in all likelihood we will both continue working full time. I don’t make enough to support a family on my own. I will probably never be able to take any extended time off of work even if I have children.

In my experience a lot of men don’t really want dating advice though, they want to get laid and that’s a completely different avenue. In all seriousness, none of that advice is objectively bad. There’s nuance to all of it though right? Like “be open about your feelings early on” doesn’t mean trauma dump on the first date, it means let her know your intentions and TELL HER you are attracted to her. If you refuse to see nuance or even recognize that women’s advice might not be exactly what you wan…

I never said a majority of women were left of center. But for a lot of the ones who are, dating a Republican is undesirable.
