What I dont understand about these things is that as a guy I hear two opposing messages. First is that women are just as strong and independent as men so they dont need us. Second, whenever they are treated badly by men, they yell to the community of men in anger. What are we supposed to do? With more traditional gender roles, your brothers, dad, cousins etc would go beat a guy like this up. But now all that power has been removed from us. So now how do good guys respond to something like this?

I think the reason millennials get such a bad rap from the baby boomers is not because we are entitled. It is because we are so damn self-righteous. We analyze every traditional viewpoint to death, destroy it, and then in its place set up massive contradictory "liberating" viewpoints like this. And generation Z watches and becomes more and more conservative.

This is definitely happening in some places in Sweden. I had a woman at a top ten tech company here recently tell me she was “milking the system for all she can” after admitting women are being preferentially treated and picked for management roles.

Well, clearly, those men should go to jail. That's why we have trials and evidence and due process. - Rape someone? Jail. - Lie about raping someone? Jail. But both of the above require solid evidence to put someone in jail. Some guilty people will go free, but its better than innocent people going to jail.

I recently reread Proverbs 31, which I highly recommend. In that ancient text it praises a woman for: Owning property Starting a business Clothing her family And there is absolutely nothing in the chapter about submission to a man or staying in the kitchen.

Yeah, exactly. I remember when Facebook was fun, but then.. well.. when they added all the news stuff combined with the "filter bubble" algorithm it just started to go to absolute crap. I don't mind if people share their opinions and ideas, but when you have 1000 friends, you share a post and 500 of them you haven't talked to in forever see it and all want to comment it just gets toxic.

It's been really nice to pull myself away from that constant battle in the US. I shut down Facebook and do not use google anymore (switched to DuckDuckGo) to help remove the filter bubble from my life, and it is has done massively to help me stop playing "sides" in political battles. It's been really relieving and reduced a lot of anxiety.

I have never seen a no-go zone myself and have not heard once of anyone having a problem with them. My thought process was that I might as well practice what I preach and see if what Bernie Sanders wants is worth it. What’s the point of standing up for something in words only? To be fair, other than this stuff with women I’ve been dealing with, the rest of the country so far is pretty sweet. Not sure I’ll stay here forever, but probably several years.
