In Michigan the age of consent is 16, the victims were 16 and 17, so unfortunately this does not even qualify as statuatory rape. Look up any statistics on child custody and you will see sexism within the family courts. In Australia they are currently reviewing the family court because of bias. The judge that originally wrote the legislation back in the day actually admitted that it favoured females. New Zealand govt released a report last year that showed discrimination against men occurs across almost every facet of their judicial system.

Some context, this is the state of Victoria, the Premier (head of govt) is a male/self confessed feminist. After winning the 2018 election, he implemented 50% female minister quota, which in effect with his views makes it a feminist dominated ministry.
