Personally, I’m not opposed to female-only spaces. Maybe instead of making it co-Ed there could also be a boys program. I see the benefit to boys only spaces, so I don’t have anything against female only spaces.

Don’t even listen to those women. To them, LVM just means a man who can’t treat his woman like a queen. The hypocrisy. Imagine if we men demanded that women treat us like kings? I think more men are beginning to realize that they don’t need to have everything and be powerful. We’re actually eschewing what feminists would refer to as toxic masculinity and the irony is that they resent that. Who else would count as a LVM... firefighters, nurses, EMTs, teachers, social workers, repairmen? These men…

I support teaching people about bigotry, but this is just ridiculous. It’s like these people can’t see the nuance in our society. They think these topics only work one way — NO EXCEPTIONS!

That sub really is pathetic. Saw a post on there about how a man is upset that women view him as inherently dangerous. The other men agree that that sucks, but it is true that men are assholes to women so there isn’t much that can be done. How depressing is that? That’s like saying that every time a black person commits a crime, black people lose the right to talk about racism.

Agreed. We have something like that at school. It’s awkward because I’m uncomfortable using the gn restroom with a woman since I’m afraid it’ll make her uncomfortable

I’ve seen this several times and it’s always funny! He’s right about how to win an argument with your girlfriend, just run out the clock. I did that with my ex. She’d be arguing with me about something as minor as forgetting to clean the baseboards in the house. As long as I ignored the hurtful things she said to me, she would only escalate here insults, until eventually I could prove to her that she’s the abusive one. After all, she brought up my past trauma and my insecurities, whereas I forgo…

I know what the definition is, the issue is that it’s called ‘toxic masculinity’. I would hate calling toxic gender norms for women ‘toxic femininity’. The issue with women promoting toxic masculinity is that by calling it toxic masculinity, we are already prejudicing ourselves to see this as a uniquely men issue.

I hate the term because it implies that men are responsible for toxic masculinity, which is partly true because we’ve been conditioned to fall into traditional gender roles. The issue is that women also tend to promote toxic masculinity. Plenty of women expect men to be stoic, to be aggressive, to never show weakness, and to be the pursuers romantically/sexually. That last one isn’t exactly toxic in itself, but it can be ‘toxic’ if men make unwanted advances, which isn’t necessarily their fault …

Terrifying how calm she was. She understood that as a woman, she could kidnap a kid and summon an army of men to defend her if things went south. That’s a disturbing amount of power, to be assumed innocent immediately. This is what a lot of people don’t understand about women; they commit plenty of offenses, but they typically do it in the shadows, or if it’s blatant we simply refuse to believe they could do something so terrible.

Being a skinny guy with a big nose, I’ve experienced plenty of rude women. I remember women wouldn’t even speak to me sometimes. I remember a woman grabbing my arm and saying, “ew, you’re too skinny”. I remember getting into shape, then losing my muscle mass from a severe injury, and then my girlfriend left me for another man, saying she left me because my body wasn’t good enough. Do these women really believe that women don’t body shame men, that women don’t determine a man’s worth by shallow o…

I understand that divorce courts favor women/mothers, but I struggle to feel shocked by the Daily Mail. It’s purposely sensationalist

One thing I don’t get about incels. It seems that they’re upset that they can’t get the attractive women. Why don’t they just go for women who are more their level of attractiveness? I dated a girl who I would say isn’t attractive by a societal standpoint and honestly it was great. I’m not exceptionally attractive, but I’m good looking enough that I could have dated a better looking woman, but she was very kind to me. We only broke up because of distance.

Might add a more in depth response later. I’m at work right now. Just want to say that honestly the responses here are all pretty reasonable. No ad hominem attacks. I’ll admit that me just calling a sub sexist is a bit vague and is generalizing. Definitely wouldn’t have expected these types of rational responses if I were to criticize one of the feminist boards, in fact I’d imagine I’d be immediately banned.

I’ve only watched one episode and haven’t seen trump bashed yet. But honestly, we should be more upset that he didn’t apologize for putting out that ad. Totally unfair for those boys. I’m actually furious that he’s doubled down defending it

I have an interesting theory about this. While reading about this, I assumed that the judge who awarded the mother custody was probably a woman. I’m assuming that most of the case workers who visited Elisa were women. Why? Because women have a hard time believing that other women can do things like this. I was right that the judge is a woman. I think a lot of women get involved in social work because they want to save women from abusive men, so they go into denial when they realize just how many…

Good. As a sufferer of body dysmorphic disorder, this is refreshing. It’s hard to discuss, especially with the added shame from being a man.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
