2	If a woman can abort a baby, as well as her responsibility to said child, without the father's consent, should the father be able to abort his responsibility to pay child support if the mother refuses adoption or abortion? And that is something that is wrong with the system. Custody should be assumed to be shared 50/50 but there is a cultural (and possibly legislative) bias towards awarding custody to the mother and denying the father his rights to see his child. Giving a child up for adoption isn't really a situation where one parent decides. Both parents must. How do you force mothers to properly identify the father? A mother can not just give her child up for adoption. The father must also consent and if he does not can take on the role of primary provider. In such a case, and it does happen, the father should be afforded all the benefits a single mother would be entitled to. Child support payments can be (though are rarely) paid to the father. The youth of Canada are protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act makes certain protections against the publishing of the names of young offenders. 2	Reddit, a girl in one of my classes has a boyfriend but is banging some other dude. Should I tell him? I hate to agree with askreddit but I would say 'no' as well. You don't know the extent or nature of their relationships. Maybe they have an open relationship and have other partners. Maybe he has a cuckold fetish. 5	Girl, 16, jailed after lying about rape after cheating on boyfriend. In Canada for Sexual Assault the prosecutor represents the Crown not the victim. The victim may have their own lawyer who is not directly involved in the case between the Crown and the defendant. If the Crown knows their lead witness is lying they would be forced to drop their case against the defendant. I think and have always thought that false rape claims are heinous and never meant to represent otherwise. I was thinking only of the initial act without fully considering the aftermath, especially the complications brought about by a corrupt justice system. False rape accusations will NEVER be nearly as traumatizing as rape. Rape is a vile, physical, hurtful, scaring act. False accusations are also vile and can ruin lives but not nearly as readily as rape itself. How can you possibly wish this on any person? 5	Please tell your daughters never to hit boys (except in self-defense) as it would be exploitative of a double-standard and would thus be unsports[wo]manlike. I developed a flinch while with my ex-girlfriend. She would hit me casually as a sign of affection. It neither hurt nor was it abusive. Still, after a time I started to flinch as she moved to touch me. Upon realizing this I mentioned it and we worked together to express our affection in a manner that didn't make me flinch.
