Stop it with you reasoning, cis-shitlord! /s In all seriousness, it does irk me when my progressive friends say that blanket statement with no qualifiers. People never go a day without discriminating one way or another, and are perfectly justified in doing so. But I guess it's easier for some to file things away automatically and devalue the definition of yet another word.

I know that most companies would be covered because more and more of them have a section on the application that asks if you'd be willing to move for the company if a job was offered.

Same here. My parents never touched a single paper or contributed a single dime to my education (aside from their taxes) and it made my education seem so much more meaningful to me. Granted, I had to forge my father's signature all the way through grad school (easy since we have the same name) but other than that, working and attending University full time helped me prove to myself just how much I can accomplish, and I thank my parents for that. I'm in the same boat. I think that, aesthetically, it is much more appealing than the natural way. There are much worse things my parents decided for me, so I'm not too worried about this issue..
