I was your age when I had my first girlfriend. How did I get her? I nearly fell over her, literally! I turned to go one way after meeting a friend at the Bell Tower at UC-Riverside, where I was going to school at the time. I stumbled over this beautiful brunette and her blonde friend. I apologized to both of them and started talking to them. The blonde left her friend and I alone together; that's when I knew the brunette was interested in me. We began to get closer the longer we talked. We took …

Thanks! I just have to make sure to look my best! I want to get them done by November at the latest. (I want to lose about 10 more pounds by then.)

I have a friend that's a professional photographer. Sometime this month I'm going to make an appointment with him to have a photo shoot done in which I'm going to be wearing different outfits: athletic, casual, business dress, sporty, etc. I will use the professional one for my professional profile. The other ones I will use on some other sites.

I would have said, "Good luck with your meeting." Then left it at that. Try not to show too much interest. Present yourself as a high-value man. If she's interested, she'll keep the lines of communication open. If not, next one.

I had two in my 20's: one at age 20 and another at age 26. I had a dozen or so women in my 30's, and half a dozen more in my 40's. I've had about 20 or so in my lifetime. But the real key is: self-improvement. Work on being healthy in mind, body, and spirit. Find a purpose for your life and pursue it with passion. Cultivate hobbies and interests. Read a LOT of different genres of books. Meet interesting people and practice on your social skills. Ask open-ended questions when meeting people, and …

Exactly! Why hide it? When I rock it, I have a lot more self-confidence!

I didn't start getting grey hair until I was in my early 40's. It was a strand here, a strand there. Then it was the sides and top.

I started to get bald spots, plus my hair was thinning just above the center of my forehead. Rather than getting hair treatment, I whacked it all off. I rock the bald look now, and I feel a lot more self-confident than before. When I had hair, there was nothing like a fresh haircut from the barber. I now have a particular woman paying attention to me as a result.

I read it because it was recommended to me. Good read but very detailed. I would agree, it is tailored for those training to be in law enforcement, as he comes from a law enforcement perspective. If I had someone that was wanting to go into law enforcement, that is a book I would recommend. And I have read Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends and Influence People, but that was nearly 30 years ago.

I want to learn about a wide range of subjects so that I can be well-versed and well-rounded. The Irresistible Introvert sounds like a good read. I have read "What Every Body Is Saying" by Joe Navarro, a former FBI agent. Very good book. He leans on his vast knowledge of body language accrued through his time as an interrogator, first in the military, then in the FBI.

I have some of these books on my packed reading list. What's a few more to add?

I'm reading another Robert Greene book, The 33 Strategies of War. Great book. I highly recommend it to a teen/young adult just going out into the world. The common thread among the strategies is to look at situations logically and dispassionately, often through a wide lens. Some of these books are on my must-read list. The others that aren't on there soon will be!

I wish someone would have sat me down in my sophomore year of high school and told me this, and taken me under their wing as a mentor. I was the opposite: skinny and gangly. I would tell teenage boys this totally. Work on yourselves. The only time it's too late is when you're dead. It's never too soon to work on yourself. Work on being the best version of yourself, and the relationships will follow, whether they be close guy friends or that special someone. And if that special someone cheats and…

I usually keep my hands open, palms up, in front of me when I'm listening. (But sometimes they're relaxed and off to the side.) When I'm talking, I use gestures. By keeping your hands open and palms up, it shows that you're friendly and approachable.

Thanks for the suggestion on Casey Zander. I searched him on YouTube and subscribed to his channel.

Thanks! Unfortunately, it's up in the air now because she's sick. She complained of a lot of sneezing, sore throat and exhaustion. I told her that we could reschedule if she wasn't feeling up to it. She has slept a lot between early last night and now. I hope it's either bad allergies or a bad cold. We both practice social distancing and are very careful about going to public places. (We're both introverts and can go many hours without communication. After our morning communication yesterday, sh…

I like to plan the first date in advance. A woman I have known for nearly 20 years and I recently reconnected. We started messaging back and forth, then it moved to text messages. We're going to meet at a park for our first date on Thursday evening. The only thing I expect is to have a great time being with her. I'm going to bring her a refreshment and also a piece of bread to feed the ducks. We're going to feed the ducks together and talk (and probably laugh a lot). Final details for our date w…

Another great book (that I'm currently reading) is The 33 Strategies of War, by Robert Greene. He quotes great military and political leaders of history and breaks down the strategies that made them successful. Awesome read. This is one book that every high school student that aspires to be successful should read while in high school. Then read it once a year for the remainder of their lives.

For my ears, I simply dry them with a towel real good. I'm on the older side and recently discovered bald spots. I simply whacked it all off and am rocking the bald look. (I was bald once before, when supporting a friend that had cancer. A LOT of women found it very sexy on me!) As for sheets, have multiple sets of sheets, and make sure they match with the decor of your bedroom. (Example: if your bedroom has red and blue as part of the decor, have a solid red sheet set, a solid blue sheet set, a…

You won't be disappointed! Should you decide to join your local club, find a mentor that will take you under his or her wing and listen closely to them. Ask plenty of questions. Many (if not all clubs by now) are virtual. Find a club close to you and join in on one of their virtual meetings.

My pleasure! They can help you in how to express yourself as well. Next time you hear a speech, watch how the speaker communicates using his or her body language, movements, eye contact, etc. That should also give you some ideas on expression.

I would recommend joining a local Toastmasters club. You're with a group of people that want to improve themselves. Toastmasters helps you with communication and leadership skills. I joined my local club five years ago and I have improved immensely as a person. I discovered leadership skills I didn't know I had. I can speak much more clearly now than I did five years ago. I can now go in front of an audience and not be intimidated. I found that I was in my element when I was in front of an audie…

What are your goals and expectations in this friendship/relationship? What are you both looking for? If you're both on the same page, great. There's a chance it will work out long-term. Take things slow, but escalate each time you see her. Don't rush into anything, nor force anything. Have open and honest communication with her. Perhaps at the next date, initiate some physical contact (touching, holding hands, etc.). Sounds like she's someone that you would like an LTR with. Good luck, OP!

In college, I (24, M at the time) met a very attractive blonde (F, 18 at the time). We hit it off. Our first date was a picnic lunch to a botanical gardens. We ate lunch that I had packed, then walked hand in hand around the gardens, talking and laughing in the process. I took her back to her dorm room and we started making out until her roommate arrived. I met her roommate, the three of us talked briefly, and the blonde and I made plans for me to cook her dinner a week and a half later. We ende…

One good question would be: what does a typical day entail for you? Always ask her open-ended questions.
