I now try and focus on healthy foods (lean meats, veggies, fruit) while estimating my calories. I try to stay right around 2000 calories per day and a couple hundred more on lifting days. I cook turkey meat a lot, cheap and a lot of protein/calories. I'll admit I hate cooking so I do buy a lot of premade foods at the store (not fast food, premade stuff from deli section, but I do eat fast food too). I would never want to look like those powerlifters who just look like fat dudes. I just lift to feel and look great.
