Just really feels like we're ignoring the experiences of women then.

It's about not addressing the issue. Every post like this shamed that individual who posted that tweet instead of recognizes the problem at large. It makes it about shaming those women instead if shaming the systematic oppression and control of women's self value.

Just search by pickmesha on the sub.

You're still defending the shaming of pick-mes regardless. That's literally alienation.

Yeah I get "harshness". But this isn't compassion. It's mockery. Harshness I understand. But not when trying to lift up others and trying to provide support. Some of the things I've seen to shame pick-me people is genuinely just cruel. These individuals don't deserve that kind of shit. Just seems like some sick entertainment for you guys to claim your superiority.

Just seems like you're so close but also not either? Like you get that it's trauma but you don't understand why that will ultimately do more harm to those individuals than good? Like it's fun for those who are already in the sub, y'all think it's fun to recognize this behavior as problematic that's fine, but damn if someone said to me what some of y'all say about pickmeshas I'd never want to visit this sub.

Shaming people like this is the literal opposite of support. Other things on this sub are fine, and we can talk about the pick-me problem. But stop shaming these individuals for Christ sake. You're hurting more people than you're helping

This isn't just tough love, it's shame. Tall are literally straight up mocking and ridiculing these women who are clearly asking for help. It's alienating.

Talk about alienation.

I'm glad shaming and all that has worked for you, but alot of at-risk pick-mes are victims of abuse. That approach won't work and only alienates them further because instead of telling them their worth, you're literally telling them the opposite, that they're stupid women deserving of shame. That's all a pick-me has ever heard, that's why she's a pick-me, you're only going to shove her down that "other girls are mean and evil why would I want to be like them, they're obviously wrong because I'm …

Yes, that is very true. Very few men are taught differently or have access to the education outside of their overt and covert socialization

Is it clown behavior if you've been born and raised in the circus? No, it's just normalcy

I wholly and fully must disagree. There is nothing more in their genetic coding than there is in yours.

Idk. I feel like shaming them, calling them stupid etc for something that's not their fault is the definition of alienation. They need an education and a helpful hand extended. Not some self-righteous "were better than other girls" kinda stuff, because we've had the access to it, they haven't.

I don't know how I feel about shaming pickmeshas. They've been brainwashed and incorrectly socialized. We should take pitty on them and reach out, not alienate them from solidarity.. right?

I think men are taught to be selfish. Their whole lives being selfish is reinforced, but if men truely were naturally selfish there would be no HVM.

Regardless, if it's a date, the person who initiated pays. Unless the two of you are I a committed relationship where an understanding has been established, both of you paying.meams we're just hanging out and it's not a date. You're supposed to be taking them on a date, you organize and pay for it as it's supposed to be a treat for that person and an opportunity for your both. The gender of the asker/payer shouldn't matter
