And that divide has grown bigger and bigger. I have no doubt that volatile things are going to happen over the next few years. I agree that there should not be 'preferential' treatment of women, that erodes the cause. Those people, independent of their views, are just completely disconnected from reality. Scientific theories are always improving but things are well sorted on the global warming front. I think liberals have a sense of pack mentality as well, but one which is more inclusive. It's a major problem, certainly, but doesn't make it okay for a president. I'm always surprised how it seems people fit into one of two boxes - if you believe in small government, you are somehow by definition pro-life and anti-immigration, and probably religious. It's pretty weird how people don't seem to mix and match. What irks me these days too is that those labelled "the left" is actually just educated people doing logical things a lot of the time.
