imo it's unkind of a partner to expect anything else. One should not spring it on one's partner that they expect them to service them for masturbatory purposes as part of what the "marriage" is supposed to be, either.

I think there should be a different word for that sort of activity. It isn't sexual "intercourse". "Masturbation" is closer. Biological sex and all of the human behavior that's caught up in that isn't all that relevant to it. I think a different word would make it less confusing. So, I meant what I said, sex is how we make new people any any other use of those organs ins't really sex.

late reply to an old post, but, something else to consider since nobody's mentioned it if this isn't already resolved: consider eliminating or significantly reducing your own masturbation. Finding milder things more stimulating seems to be a common effect of doing that. "Submission fantasies" suggests influence from pornography or smut literature so consider stopping or reducing your use of those and sublimating that sexual energy instead into focus on your family. You could also consider trying…

sure. many "hookers" would be better termed "prostituted women", though, and paying to rape someone isn't exactly an endearing character trait.

The only reason the right-side list is shorter is because a whole lot gets wrapped up into one word, "cunt".

There's usually a lot of low hanging fruit for people who haven't been paying much attention to their beauty for either sex. Lots of women like muscles. That's not what's most important to lots of women though. Sperm quality decreases with age for men too. Don't underestimate the value of male vitality and fertility. Having a full head of hair is not something that will be with even nerdy men forever.

work towards building a good relationship, and build your relationship on honesty. don't be a creep and spill your whole life story on the first date, but if you think it would matter to her let her know early on so you don't waste either of your time with a relationship that isn't going to go anywhere. actually the fact that you measure yourself by how many or which people you've had sex with, and the fact that you've paid women to let you have sex with them, would be a bigger deal to me than t…

There's a point to them if they help you get off. I've fantasized about things I definitely would not ever want to do because I got off on them while masturbating. There's also just exploring things in a safe environment, in a way it wouldn't be in real life. "What's it like to be a man? Maybe I'll roleplay one and see what that's like." Or there was a video game that was supposed to help you feel in a sense what it was like to be a dinosaur. What's it like to die? What's it like to do dangerous…

A few thoughts Sexually liberated women, who openly accept and express their sexual experiences (don't feel ashamed, don't fear being called "sluts", like feeling sexy before others, enjoy being seen as objects of desire at least every once in a while) are MORE likely to fantasize about being forced into sex. "Lack of guilt" is not a driving factor as she didn't feel guilt for having sex in the first place. Women with these views, or raised with these views, may be more likely to disconnect sexu…

we judge people all the time, wtf, I'm not going to pretend I don't know things just because of what has or happened under the law. law doesn't determine some abstract innocence or guilt, that exists in the world independently. why would someone just ignore all the information coming to them through their emotional awareness? the accusations and everything else surrounding them are evidence. and if you're mad about this, you had better be just as mad about how much rape, assault, etc goes unpuni…

Yeah, I've sought validation from "feeling attractive". Attracting people is a side-effect of having worth, but looking for people to validate you by finding you attractive doesn't ... really work. It just means you've slept with someone or gotten someone to find you attractive for a little while. It's not engaging in a worthy way, that would have happened naturally if I hadn't felt the need to seek validation in the first place. I'm not really looking for specific personal advice in this threat…

women typically don't respect men and are never satisfied with "who they are" only "what they can do", and constantly shoveling bullshit in his face is reassuring to them that they're with a strong man. What people do is a reflection of who they are though. You can see a man's character, the degree to which he's planned out his life properly, etc, what he's about, by how he acts. What he stands for. Men can actually love you for who you are, not what you do. Take advantage of that - it sounds better than working yourself to the bone on the chance that your best self will get you a woman who "is" pleasant, loving, empathetic, and feminine. You're basically asking how to best scale Everest when you have a ski lift to the top. I guess that's not so bad if you're saying I don't have to do any work. I think PB has a point that "do better!" can be used as a kind of victim blaming. "You shouldn't have been wearing that! You wouldn't have been raped if you hadn't!" It can be used to redirect appropriate anger away from the justified recipient, and towards self-change. Instead of bringing the man who hurt you to justice, change your dress habits. At a broad scale, this could be called propaganda used to misdirect people. I think there's a broader kind of "be the best you can be" that includes n…

In the stereotype, men are valued for their accomplishments, and women are valued for their fertility. So the accomplishments are going to matter more, according to the stereotype, and are what a masculine sexual strategy would look like. It's not that it feels like bad advice, it feels like not the right focus, potentially. I'm not sure though. I wanted to hear comments. I guess you think it's good advice for a woman. This is getting a bit too detached from reality for my taste. I'm not trying to have a discussion about how we can really know for sure what it's like inside someone's head with a theoretically perfect deception about internal state that never affects anything external ever at all. I'm trying to talk about something obviously real. Whether it would occur to them to ask is different from whether it matters to them though. It sounds like you're saying it doesn't matter to people (men or women?) if it's all faking it or a lie. But I think people don't want to fake it, and would be upset if they found out their partner was faking it. It also sounds like you think people don't care of I'm genuinely happy, as long as I act like I am. That's what makes it seem like it's not caring about me.

Do you think it's a completely false narrative? Milo may have been born into elite levels of wealth and education, but it also at least looks like he's done a lot in a bootstraps sort of way. Like opening his own book label. Maybe he's groomed by someone behind the scenes, it wouldn't surprise me. I have seen other people who stuck to doing the right things do very well though. What do you think is a better narrative that's less propaganda and more just decent advice?

Thanks for the reply! men can love you and not care about your opinions or how you feel about things. I don't understand. There is no such thing as an ethical pickup artist. It is an inherently exploitive practice. Blue pill relationships: the golden rule, mostly, just stuff about how to treat people well, be honest about your intentions even when it's uncomfortable, put yourself out there and handle disinterest along with interest, ability to move on amicably and quickly when you get a no If you specifically want to explore sexuality outside of a committed, procreative relationship (and some would consider this id…

metoo is itself a backlash by women against bad treatment by bad men. Just understand it for what it is and the only people who need to get this freaked out by it are bad people. Frankly, if men are as afraid of women are at having their lives ruined by the opposite sex, that... seems like maybe the justice system is working. I've heard it said that "consent" is such a low bar. It's there because of legal stuff, right? If there's no consent, then it's criminal rape, or sexual harassment, or whatever. But maybe that's not the right way to navigate relationships. A much better bar than consent is whether people actually want to do the thing. The flirtation in this old comedy sketch made wonder how things have changed. I think this fits under "treat people well". Making advances can make people feel uncomfortable and change things, I think it's reasonable to expect that boundary not be crossed in professional settings and consider it to be an offense when people do. Why would anyone have sexual intercourse unless they were conceiving a child?

(new poster here. didn't read the whole post. don't understand all of trp, but I wanted to comment here.) From the title, skimming, and the given tldr: He's basically taking advantage of you. He's not really, and he's not being a bad person, because he's honest about it. But when guys do this, what they want is to use you for sex, basically. It doesn't mean they think you aren't human, or want to treat you badly or whatever: he's making a point of communicating clearly with you. I was told this …

Actually, no one deserves jack shit, and women believing they do is one of the reasons TRP exists >.< Forgive me if I am wrong, and in the case that I am I deserve a blowjob from every single one of you. See? While I agree that "deserve" can be a bad way to put it and an unhelpful way to think about these things, "you deserve a relationship that feels right" is a different statement from "you deserve this kind of attention from these men specifically". The equivalent statement would not be "I de…

By feminine policy I mean being overly polite to out groups and sacrificing your ingroup Do you have any thoughts on how universal vs bound to specific human cultures this is? Is this a tendency women/any feminine people should change about themselves? Or is it some sort of necessary balance? ("too feminine" vs "feminine")
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 07:26 PM

What do you mean, exactly? Also, what do you think of bonobo culture? They do genuinely experience less within-species violence than their cousin species as I remember.

I just think it's sortof ironic. Western cultures arguably relaxed their own values partly in an attempt to be more accommodating to those other cultures who felt left out, but apparently other cultures don't want to be treated that way too.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 07:03 PM

Their values by the way are "everything is relative" There does seem to be a lot of diversity of thought among western countries, at least right now. I don't think all westerners think that's what western values are. I think people can end up thinking things like that with good intentions, either because it's what they're taught or because it's a natural reaction to trying to respect and appreciate people who are different.

It seems like it's a feminist-influence attitude among well-educated families. The stereotype is you're kindof a loser if you don't value your career. Or at least was. I remember looking down on friends in college who wanted to get married right out of college, and friends who chose to put marriage before their careers. It seemed tragic, because I knew these were smart women who could make important and exciting contributions, the kind one reads about in the history books, and it seemed like the…

Are western values really universal? I mentioned western cultures specifically because I'm not sure they are universal for all cultures.

Thank you! I guess I'm one of the lucky 10k for today or something, I hadn't heard about it. Judging from conversations elsewhere, others haven't heard about it either. There are a lot of people around pushing for stay-at-home mothers claiming it's better for the kids and the mothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 08:16 AM

There's the longitudinal cohort study (the best kind of study) done in the UK over years and thousands of kids that I keep citing here that shows that the more a mother stays home, the worse it is for her children, and that's independent of her income and education level. The best thing you can do for your kids is compete with everyone else in demanding jobs. Wow. ... I don't suppose you have that link?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/17 07:44 AM

hm. Well, that puts some things in perspective for me. I think "it's a bad idea to get married young because it doesn't tend to work out well" is different from "it's bad to get married young because only dumb stupid people who don't have awesome careers get married young and put family first". I've looked down on women who choose to put family first, in their mid-20s, because it seemed like giving up their intellectual potential, and I think that does a disservice to how important and fulfillin…

and "getting married and having babies" is kind of a secondary consideration. that's a pretty novel concept. That's what I think does a disservice. Sometimes it really isn't possible, or doing those other things really does make family life less successful. I don't think anyone should be forced to bear children of course, but I think at the point where people are getting looked down on for wanting to have kids or marry younger, it's gone a bit far. That should arguably be the norm and I think wo…

There’s certainly an aura of viewing the traditional female gender role as distasteful and lowly among feminists despite them always harping that it’s all about female choice whether or not to conform to such a role. I think this misleads women and should change. This is the single most important role in all of society.

I have yet to meet anyone (even at my church) teaching their daughters that they should submit to men, give up their career and start having babies as soon as they lock someone down. I think ... well idk, maybe I've been brainwashed... but I think that, aside from the "submit to men" part, I think a lot of women would be happy being raised with the expectation that creating a family is at least totally normal, and career outside of that isn't some sort of much better more deserving thing. I thin…

and not be groomed with a traditional idea of what their sexuality and gender roles should be. I was raised without expectations any which way, and looking back I'm not sure I'm happy with this. I received a lot of mixed messages growing up from a variety of places, and had some difficulty deciding what I wanted for a variety of reasons. I think more chance to discuss what I was trying to figure out would have helped, though, not necessarily just clearer guidance from my parents. So as someone w…

Interesting, thanks for the response. family formation over self-sufficiency training I didn't mean to imply it was an either-or, ... I think the conception of gender I'm trying to explore is more an added thing on top of general life prep.

Idk what you mean about “prepare her to be a good mother” what exactly does that entail? How do you go around “grooming kids” for that? Encourage her to baby sit on the side? I do wish I'd had more interaction with kids growing up. I was jealous of my friend who had lots of younger siblings and knew cool songs to sing them and stuff, it seemed like she was really well-prepared to do those things for her own kids. But specifically, I'm not sure. I'm really kindof grasping a bit since I'm not exac…

If you haven't noticed most people aren't actually interested in the general happiness of humanity, but achieving the highest social position within it, which is often accompanied with thwarting the aspirations of others username noted, is that what happened to you? I grew up in the 80s-90s in the US in a city. The schools I went to were small-ish, yeah, I don't know what it's like to go to a huge school. I guess things like that can play a pretty big role in how gender affects a kids life.

Thanks for the response! you may be screwed if you're raised to be agendered Me and my siblings were raised fairly agendered and almost none of our peers growing up were. I do think it made it a bit harder to fit in, especially since I didn't know what was going on and why we looked a bit different to people. Then again, played differently, it could have just come off like I was a cool kid with something special about my family.

Thanks for the reply; I updated the OP in an attempt at clarity. I'm more interested in the practical aspects of gender norms; like teaching a boy things about how to be successful at courtship perhaps, so he'll have success finding a mate. I'd be interested in comments about identity though, and what aspects may be harmful.

No, I meant more there are differences in life preparation girls and boys benefit from, because there are at least some differences between girls and boys (if only differences related to the realities of how reproduction works.). I want to hear comments about what people think the differences are, what boys or girls might benefit from, that kind of thing. I wasn't really thinking about the kids personal identities so much as practical stuff, like successfully building a relationship with a mate,…

Don't forget that we will in an age where toxic masculinity is a great sin, so don't tell your boys the abridged form "be virtuous" with no further explanation. Good reminder. I meant virtue in the more classical sense, maybe. It's literally based on the Latin word for man.

Well, yeah, "losing frame" isn't just about a psychopath who wants to fuck and discard the lass you have your eye on. Hostile agents try to mess with your life frame, grounding, morals, whatever all the time. Fake advertising, trying to do a light scam, ... what if you send your kids to the wrong school? What if you do something important later, will you be able to keep someone from sneakily usurping your leadership position? Will you be able to keep your frame when your kids bring stuff to you …

guys rarely care about woman's flaws in terms of character. I thought they cared a lot, esp. in terms of who's going to mother their children. Virtuous women have inspired people of both sexes for a long time, just look at how Mary is treated in the Catholic church. edit for the downvoters: If you're downvoting to disagree, I'd appreciate hearing your perspective. I don't want to just stay wrong. If you ask me not to argue with you because it's annoying then I won't. (If you're downvoting for po…

You can be the perfect unicorn for a girl, with the right hobbies, the right political affiliations and a few adorable quirks, if she sees you "losing frame" to a psychopath, she'll fuck the psychopath. (I'm exaggerating of course, but you get the idea). Protection and excellence are important parts of what's appealing, this is either just finding someone she thinks is even more of a "unicorn", or revealing that you're not as strong/capable of protecting as she hoped. It's not a weird separate t…

What aspects of yourself do you hide or change because being sexually attractive is more important to you? Which do you NOT hide or change, even though you know it makes you less objectively attractive? Can be physical or behavioral. And where should this line be drawn? What's going too far? What is just too tiring of a mask to keep on? What goes beyond a mask and becomes real change? Or is there just no going too far? I never saw any of these things as compromising on my self. Then again, I don…

I should have made the title a question rather than a statement to be more accurate about what I meant. I just want accurate information. It might be good to work towards our strengths and appreciate them instead of fighting against them just because "we can do that too!". If that's what's accurate. I doubt I'd end up advocating for restricting jobs based on sex, I already know there are individual exceptions. Yeah, there are implications in there. Mostly I just want information.
