I always tend to analyze ppl and situations to find a better way. It’s my personality. I want to help ppl and for that ppl in my family always come to me for any and every issue. It’s a gift and a curse. I’m the same at work. I am such a critical thinker and problem solver. Of course w relationships, same thing. And not in a pushy or know-it-all kind of way; I think of myself as resourceful. I want to help, motivate and encourage ppl always which means I’m always the one that “see the potential”…

I don’t typically indulge when I see these types of posts because these sentiments (you can’t change him” are never black and white. I think some men are changeable in some areas while others are not. The thing is, due to the complexity and uniqueness of every individual it just all depends on the time of day, year, mental state, will/desire, maturity, etc.... and unfortunately you never know who you’re encouraging and if that person is susceptible to change. It’s a shot in the dark. Keep trying…

This post is absolutely true. I defended myself and my character so much with my ex narcissist and unreasonably so. I was doing nothing wrong yet I was always explaining to deaf ears. Now the minute I feel like I’m defending myself, my character and sometimes even my position on things I immediately withdraw. I’ve gone alone plenty of times and never had a bad experience. People will sit next to me and talk but it’s always been friendly convo and nothing too obnoxious or overbearing.
