100%. The girls and women in these programs are inundated.

Somewhere else in that thread someone asked him how much she “gave” to him financially basically and his response was something like “if I answer that I’m going to seem like a huge asshole.”

Yeah… some people in the other thread were saying she should’ve said something to them and I said hell no she shouldn’t that is putting her in danger from these obviously violent men.

Uhh I mean the last president of the United states got elected after it was publicly revealed he made a rape joke so I’m guessing it’s a-ok with a lot of people.

Um like you said we do not know what the situation was. There are many, many times when it’s safer to stay quiet or even play along so as to not make yourself a target. And then there are other cases where you should 100% challenge them. A single guy joking about rape? Sure I’ll call him out. But alone in a room full of men joking about rape? Honestly sounds very dangerous to me.

I got banned for mentioning the sub. Who knows where I am shadowbanned. Why is it so triggering?

That’s a good idea I just had no idea that I would get a permaban for mentioning a sub.

I think the FDS sort of forces them out of that though. Making them do the chasing and they either come out of that pattern or you leave them behind and forget about them. It’s the pick-mes that enable and validate that behavior.

Sooo... I posted in another subreddit where a woman was complaining about how she’s Over men using her and dating them and I said she should check out this subreddit. Which resulted in a permaban?? It was supposed to be a feminist subreddit not sure why they’re against taking charge of your dating life?

Yuppp I even had a guy coworker admit to me how guys will stay in relationships where they see no future for a long time.

Honestly better than it was going with older guys or guys my age. I am 33 and the guys my age and older- there’s a reason they’re single. The guys in their late 20s are looking for something serious and just haven’t found the right person. Could be because they’re dating younger ladies that aren’t ready to settle down. IME the younger guys that are looking for older women WANT a woman that knows what she wants and is more confidant. I found them more willing to work for my affection and prove th…

It’s kind of funny that almost all my friends (myself included) are now dating men younger than them. And we are all 30+ at this point.

A first date IMO should be a simple dinner. You don’t know each other well enough yet. If he plans some big thing and you end up hating him then you’re stuck. Worst case scenario you can deal with some guy for an hour and half. Or if he plans a walk on the beach and dinner and you just got your hair done. Dinner to get to know eachother and get to trust him before more adventurous stuff.

That’s awesome! I met an old couple when I was serving once and the lady said part of the reason they had been together so long was that he bought her fresh flowers every week for the past whatever years without fail. It’s not a huge effort on a guys part but it shows that they care to make one.

Hahahahah omg yes saying what he was going to do like he still gets all the points for thinking it without actually doing it. Because stopping by a grocery store to pick up flowers is so hard.

Most people are, sure. But when it comes down to it I think most women will support and be an ally to other women. I think about bar/club bathrooms where suddenly strangers are all friends and you can feel that camaraderie between women in what should be a competitive environment.

Since you’re new they might not give you the code yet but just so you know in the post the words reddit twitter and Instagram are direct links to message them to ask for the code. Does that help? I know reddit can be kind of confusing at first let me know if you have any questions.

Are there really 23 year old ladies out there wanting to get married this bad? It’s the fucking peak of your life y’all don’t waste it on a dude! For me, at least, it was before I had any REAL responsibilities. That won’t happen again until I’m retired probably. Live it up while you can before a career, house, other life stuff keeps you from being free.

I think that being more discerning and keep from getting emotionally attached helps a lot. Dating multiple people helps to not get too attached for me.

To add to this- I learn something new about myself and about other people in every relationship. Relationships allow you to examine yourself in a way that nothing else does.

On the flip side- not making ANY moves could also make them lose interest. When I was younger I would go out with guys multiple times and they never made any attempt at a kiss or anything and I was like “do you even like me?!”

I can’t imagine any woman on the planet would say she is grateful for being raped or that if she went back in time she would still allow herself to be raped. No woman.

Yeah seriously! Women (IME) have a switch in their head and once it goes off it ain’t coming back on.

My friends bf said he thought that of the men that have looking for “relationship” on their Bumble only about 50% actually mean that. It’s probably even lower but they know “something casual” scares a lot of women away.

Ask them about their interests. Talking about pets is usually good. Ask them what tv shows they’re watching right now and then ask follow up questions to that, maybe you have some in common you can talk about. What kind of food is their favorite, what restaurant, what types of drinks do they like. Those all have follow up questions you can ask to keep it going. It’s going to vary based on the person but you will have to somehow figure out some common ground that you can keep a convo going. I’m s…

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to come down on the mods! I am so, so, so thankful for this sub. It has been an oasis for me in the desert of dating. You’re totally right- if you don’t like something instead of complaining you should do something to change it. I’ve had an idea for a post and been nervous I guess at what the reception will be. It’s not necessarily what is being posted I agree with you things can be helpful. I’m more frustrated at the general negative tone of “don’t do this” or “see?! All…

I agree you’re probably not boring unless all you do is go sit in your cubicle and go home and do one thing there. Conversation should be a volley. You ask a question, she answers hopefully with an open ended answer and then you ask a question about that. Or you answer her question with another question. It shouldn’t be an interrogation though you are learning about the person and asking them about their interests and life.

I think it could be people texting from an iPhone vs iPad? I don’t necessarily think it means they’re manually turning it on and off.

I totally get that. I don’t blame the sub it’s only as good as the content it receives. I just wonder if we should limit some of those posts.

Agreed. There are way to many complaining posts about LVM and not enough strategy posts. We know they’re all mostly LV and we know many women are pick-me’s. We need more focus on the good stuff not the bad stuff.

I think this is where you read between the lines. When you tell him you don’t have sex until commitment/exclusivity what is his response? When you tell him you aren’t into hooking up how does he respond? Use your intuition to gauge what he says or how he acts after you lay down your rules.

I agree with FDS that you should not reveal the number or past sexual experiences. I don’t think you should lie unless he really presses you (but why is he pressing you?) vagueness is your friend. I have seen multiple friend’s boyfriends get absolutely obsessed when they told them they had a threesome. Like one of them almost broke up with her over and it took him months to get over it. Another one was trying to coerce her into having one because I guess he felt “left out” of her wild days. My f…
