Some LVM are definitely anxiously attached. It leads to (among other things) jealousy, clinginess, a lack of confidence that bleeds into other areas of life, paranoia, etc. Not recommended!

Oooh that wedding sounds fun! It sounds like you are a bit invested in this guy, even though your better judgement is telling you he's not putting in HVM effort. Maybe detach yourself emotionally, go to the wedding so you feel you've got something out of it, then dump?

I struggle with this too. You have to be prepared to lose them. You can never put their needs and wants above yours, even if you have to risk acting uncool in their eyes.
