That's the point, but note that these two statements are not opposites but equivalents - they just focus on different ends of the spectrum. 1	I am Daniel Weible. I was sentenced to 2 years in a maximum security prison for failure to pay Child Support. AMA(crosspost from /r/iama) It took me awhile to find it, but the OP had a 'felony prison escape' charge on his record - that is why he was sent to max security. Although the prison escape charge was ridiculous since 1) he was a minor at the time it happened, and 2) it occurred when he was in a halfway house, but the prosecutor decided that since it was 'technically' a prison they could charge him with 'felony prison escape'. The supply is constant, so they need to increase demand. Easiest way to do that is by lowering prices, especially for certain demographics (i.e. women) which may be less inclined to take the class. 1	I got mixed reviews for my article in the paper about reverse sexism. You want equality; pay the difference! I'm not quite sure this thinking could hold up. I know a lot of guys defer getting insurance longer precisely because it costs more potentially losing the company money because not as many guys will take on insurance. However, if instead the company made the rate similar to women initially and only spiked it after an accident occurred, then you might get far more men to take on insurance. 1	I'm surprised how few people call bs on this kind of thing. No, they came from anecdata which is just about as good as nowhere. While this may describe some guys, it absolutely doesn't describe all guys - we have a right to be frustrated and even, yes, offended by someone making blanket statements as if they are fact, when in reality they are personal opinions.
