Lol no. It was skewed data because there are much fewer women in tech than men. Amazon decided to use historically successful applicants data from their employees and past applicants. Since their employees were largely men, it created a data imbalance. This skewed the learning of the model to think that because past successful applicants had fewer women, women wouldn't be successful applicants in the future.
