Congratulations on putting yourself out there and making life a priority. Its hard to accept sometimes that being married shouldn't cost you who you are.... Go heal, and Live free... Dobby has no master!

I can't pretend I've handled my own pain perfectly, because I'm pretty broken myself right now. But reading this, I recognize that kind of rage. It's not really about wanting revenge or wanting to hurt someone. It's what happens when years of love, sacrifice, loyalty, and effort suddenly feel like they meant nothing to the person you gave them to. The anger is covering a mountain of grief. Despite all that rage, you're still choosing not to act on it. You're not screaming at her, you're not dest…

Reading this felt painfully familiar. i am another guy whom never imagined I’d be here either, trying to make sense of the slow unraveling of a life I thought was stable. One day we were functioning, imperfect but familiar, and the next I was staring at words like “filed,” “orders,” and “app-based communication,” as if my marriage had been translated into a language I didn’t speak. What confuses me most isn’t just the separation itself, but the emotional static, moments of warmth followed by dis…

Yeah… I relate to this more than I’d like to admit. That feeling of being useful until you’re no longer needed hits hard. You show up, you support, you sacrifice, you take the blame to keep the peace and then one day it feels like the relationship gets audited and you’re told you didn’t meet expectations. The “HR-like” part especially resonates. When conflict turns into performance reviews instead of partnership, something fundamental is already broken. It’s hard to communicate when you’re alway…

I get it. It fucking sucks, like, really sucks. You can be around family all you want, but it’s not the same as having that love in your life. The quiet hits different this time of year, and no amount of people around you fills that space. You’re not wrong for feeling it, and you’re not weak for saying it out loud. A lot of us are just pushing through the season the best we can. You’re not alone in that.

Classic narcissistic behavior.... No matter what you do, it will always be about her. Keep your happy life going!

I appreciate the intention behind giving advice, but I think you completely missed the point of what I shared. What I wrote wasn’t about giving up, lacking a hobby, or needing a hustle. It wasn’t about dating rules or self-help books. It was about the emotional reality of going through my first major holiday after a life-changing transition. That kind of experience brings up grief, loneliness, and a sense of displacement that can’t be “fixed” by telling someone to hit the gym or make more money.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
