There’s a big difference. While many girls don’t want to be approached at a gym or work, it’s usually because they are busy and don’t want to be distracted. It’s not the end of the world if you cold approach someone there. Approaching a girl late at night alone in a park comes off as dangerous and threatening.

I disagree, he may not lose anything, but he can make a girl very uncomfortable by approaching at that time. There is a difference between a girl being uncomfortable and rejecting him because she’s not into him and rejecting a guy because she doesn’t feel safe or is scared. Cold approaching is about being direct through comfortable interactions. Knowing when and where people want to be talked to is part of being able to socialize effectively. This could be location dependent, but I personally ca…

The likelihood of someone being receptive at that hour in that location and time is extremely low because of the time and location. In fact, I think someone who is receptive at that time and location is naive to the amount of people with bad intent at that time. It was a bit of a reality check when I moved to a city (a relatively safe city too) and saw that pretty much all my female friends had really bad experiences with men at these hours. I think when cold approaching someone, they have to ha…

He’s young, so I’m to provide helpful advice early on. There are appropriate and inappropriate times to approach someone. It’s just like how men should learn to cross the street or not walk to close to a woman walking home alone at night. Idk where OP is, but depending on the location, it can be a really bad idea to approach someone at those hours in that location. People being outside is not always an excuse that they want to be talked to.

It’s good that you’re confident enough to talk, but in my personal opinion, don’t cold approach late at night in a park. At least in my city, many of my friends get harassed at these hours and in this type of location. That’s not what you were trying to do, but they may be on guard or uncomfortable given the time. It’s better to approach in more public areas where they have an easy out and when it’s a bit earlier in the day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
