⬆️🤯 This is why meditation and mindfulness excersizes help a lot. I honestly turned to medical cannabis after a few weeks myself because it was soo hard to get any rest but all along the way listening to some of the mindfulness podcasts helped me zone out long enough to just focus on my current state and get to sleep. All the other suggestions you have to do as well, there is no single silver bullet for this beast.

For me a huge piece of advice and knowledge in my divorce that I would reiterate to my younger self an others is if you have kids be as kind as you can be during the shit show because the amount of communication you still have to keep up with your ex after the divorce can be at times unbearable. Having enough foresight earlier on when all you want to do is get it over with, will pay dividends for the kids and their relationship with you and their mother as the years go by.

I dunno I feel the same honestly and it’s a terribly large time investment, even just mindless swiping based on first appearance you still have to go through hundreds. I had another dinner date last night and she was also from hinge. I have had luck there and a little getting to with one girl from tinder. It’s been like 3 weeks now and honestly I can’t recommend it to anyone, but if you can swipe for an hour a day then you might find some folks. Best recommendation from me is if you have any goo…

On the dating app Hinge. I know it’s not long since separation but the marriage wasn’t great for the last few years and with a STBX who is actively with her AP it wasn’t hard to cut emotionally. I’ve spent most nights processing, weekly sometimes twice calls with my therapist, and I’m lucky or unlucky enough to have a close friend as well as a cousin who have both been been through this recently, I have been able talk to them and share and commiserate. You are totally right, it’s just a short ti…

Man our stories are similar I would have been 14 in April. Cheating STBXW still with her AP. Kiddos in the mix, but at least it’s amicable and has been so far a clean split. I was so hurt by her actions but getting the validation from other women who are also out looking has been a very positive situation for me these past two weeks. I have told the women I’m only dipping my toes back into dating and been very upfront about my separation and pending divorce because I’m not trying to manipulate a…

I’ll say it sucks to have the feelings snd the history you have. However the past isn’t the future. I don’t regret getting married or getting divorced. I’ll probably get married again because I like it. You have a right to happiness whether that comes in the form of a long term committed relationship or if it comes as marriage. 30 is a good age to unpack all the last trauma and bullshit and really set yourself up for happiness for the next 30 years. Good luck.

Yes man, take all this negative from the divorce and use it to make positive changes in yourself. A few years from now it’ll be something you thank yourself for. Plus most places are looking for employees right now, so to have an employer that is so petty is just one more negative thing you don’t need. You deserve to be happy.

Man I have hurt like hell for two months. With all the damage of my Ex’s cheating and processing the divorce is just as hard. You will get there. Honestly the dating apps are terrible but even someone who maybe isn’t exactly a 10 still Shows interest and that got my spirits up. I’m no 10 myself but I’ll be damned if I let my STBX ruin my chance at happiness. I’m doing this for me. I’ve been losing weight, eating better, exercising. Healthy me is much happier than sad me who got cheated on. Stay …

This sucks, no way around that. It does sound like a new job may be in your future. I had to take some random time off and leave early or work late and let my bosses know because it does affect all of us. If you can try some separation exercises while at work like putting phone in a drawer, having a notepad to write down your invasive thoughts and your feelings, getting up for some quick steps (I like to use the four flights of stairs in our place) to get Your heart rate up and work out some of …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
