I'm 33 and everyone I know's mom did all the work while working. We're in a very religious conservative area where it is looked down upon not to follow gender roles. So we basically live in the 50s. It's honestly nice to hear about other places that are more progressive. And yes the mothers did all the yard work as part of the household chores. I suppose the dads kept up with the cars. So changing the oil every six months. And going to a mechanic for everything else. My mom tried taking a car in…

My mom worked a full time job, came home and did the housework, and raised us. My dad had a full time job where he actually worked less hours than her and didn't help out at all. My mom almost divorced my dad several times but stayed so we wouldn't have to go through that. A lot of the comments on this thread are assuming the woman is a stay at home mom. That isn't possible for most families now. The woman has taken on the home responsibilities because of the days when they stayed home. Now wome…

Honestly that makes sense. I love video games, and agree they are a great hobby. They do not translate into any kind of life experience though. In games you can always accomplish your goal. They are designed to let you win. Real life is not.

Actual feminists that want equality didn't do this. It's largely because people read extremist views online instead of having conversations with people from different walks of life. We only see the worst of people online. Nowadays people get more online interaction than face to face. We are coming to the point that we don't see each other as people.

Wasn't one of his girlfriends a girl that he knew when she was a kid? Like he watched a little girl grow up and as soon as she was legal he started banging her. The ones he meets as 20 somethings don't bother me, but that one just gives the ick.

One of my women coworkers said that a guy we work with wasn't a real man because he cried when he broke his toe. She also said a woman isn't a real woman until she has kids. These people are usually just sexist all around.

Do you think women didn't use the internet before 2007? Do you also think women don't use ad blockers? Birth control can be necessary for extreme PMS, which can cause worse weight gain and depression than birth control. Especially if it's taken with an antidepressant. We need more funding for schools. Part of that should go into more school counsellors that are trained in psychology and talk therapy to help with the mental health crisis. This is a leftist view. People already pointed out that yo…

This ad is stupidly trying to make something a gender issue that shouldn't be. Yeah, there are issues in healthcare that hurt women. Like how doctors didn't know women experienced heart attacks differently until recently. But making chronic pain, a gender neutral shitstorm that people aren't taken seriously about across the spectrum, into a gender issue? This ad is heavy handed and absurd. The way they framed this isolates men and makes it seem like women need to be treated special instead of go…

Yeah there are women only scholarships, but most of the people getting into the high end school are nepo babies and it doesn't matter what gender you are for those. That's based on how much money mommy and daddy make. If there were fewer men in STEM careers, the scholarships would be for men. As things are now, women are still leaving those careers because men don't take them seriously and they get treated poorly by men who think women can't be in those fields. What do you mean helps to feed and…

It's not right that courts choose the mother over the father. I know a girl who is not a good mother. Always trying to get her son to dislike his father. But the dad is such a nice guy. Fortunately the son is smart and hopefully when he's old enough he'll cut the mom out if his life.

As a single woman with no kids, I can tell you this post is NOT true. All of my family thinks that there's something wrong with me. Coworkers are always looking down on me. Maybe in the online spaces you guys are on where the algorithm shows you this stuff since you keep clicking on it. But in the real world, if you aren't a wife and a mother, you are less than the women who are.

I don't understand the point of this argument. Yes, women only got rights because men allowed them to. Are you saying that is a bad thing to give them rights? Men in the past wanted to give their wives, mothers, daughters rights. Which is technically to get female approval, but out of love for the women in their life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
