I am part of the local family group. Just afraid of words getting around

I called all the lawyers. But they're all telling me it doesn't matter. One more consult today, I'll ask again.

Why not get the house yourself and if she can't afford to be the parent and homeowner, get the kids too?

That's solid advice. How do I find that person. All the reviews just say... great lawyer. Not specific to men vs women. .... does now make me reconsider who i should hire for myself

Any thoughts on flat fee vs hourly? Just consulted one that is flat fee, just until we reach thy final judgement.

Is that standard? We have two kids.... we need 4 lawyers involved?

Yup

What's GAL?

Fair. I've reached out to 4 firms at this point. Working on more. Maybe hit up everyone in a 10 mile radius 🤣

Did having an asshole get want you wanted, or just, you need hard truths about you?

Excellent point Preparing my questions. Waiting for time to call when i can make the call in private

Can't she do that after i file?

Thank you now and later

I doubt mine would move. She has no family that she could move the kids into. That's unlikely. I always thought TRO was for violent people, not just preventing someone from moving

Mediation might still be better in my case.

TRO.... like you kicked her out? Can you elaborate?

Even if we can meditate?

Yes. But even if she got pregnant.... 1) I've had a vasectomy, 2) i could request DNA testing. There are cases where the state can not claim Im the father... make her pay for it or identify who the real dad is. Your main point stands. Act soon

There is legal basis to hold the divorce and get dna testing.

This makes sense. Got it!

Got to be a way out of that through paternity testing, if it came to it
/r/Divorce_Men16/03/23 06:17 PM
2

True. We haven't had sex in months. Going to be real easy to get that paternity result.

She's been hiding her phone for a while. I'm not dumb

That's where I'm at. Showing her that she has pushed me away and pushed and pushed.... this is what she wanted... fine, here it is.

She is likely cheating. She's spent a lot of time trying to develop an affair with someone last year and has wanted an open relationship.... so I'm certain she is. But we're in a no fault state anyway. I've had a lawyer say alimony wouldn't come into play. But who knows.

"Being a bad mouse because the cat wasn't done playing with you yet" - never have i felt triggered before. Lmao. That would piss her off. She is very clearly fucking with me

Ive calculated possible child support payments. Made a future budget. Identified household items i would want. Moved money legally. Called lawyers for the consult. What else is there to prepare? I'm at acceptance emotionally. Bring it on.

Thank you. This was the information i was looking for. Brutal first or second Im sure, but I wanted to know what the benefits were.

Time to buckle up. I'm convinced she is actively cheating..... good for her, hope its fun. She's going to hate living alone

Ahhhh maybe that's the timing issue. Less scheming. I have a trick or two up my sleeve... not much, and may not mean what i want it to, but i think it's something.
/r/Divorce_Men16/03/23 01:32 AM

Noted. Doing it first would catch her.

I'm not trying to be a pain, but what would it have changed, was she less vicious then? It would have been awful either way, no?

Because you weren't ready... or something else? It seems that filling first just catches the other off guard. No tangible benefit .... but that's why I'm asking?

One of those i need to look into. Some others I've looked into

I feel you. I'm in my 40s. If I'm going to be single, do it now, more time to find someone else.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
