I give a fuck about the gum because one of my medications dries my mouth out like crazy and if I don’t have something to stimulate saliva production my breath smells like shit and it ruins my teeth. You’re right there was a possible miscommunication there but when someone asks for a piece and you toss them the pack generally Id assume they would throw it back like I would/have. I got territorial over the gum because a medication I take greatly reduces my mouths ability to produce saliva and as a result I get really horrid breath and it affects my teeth in a bad way when I don’t have something to stimulate saliva production. I go on a fair amount of dates, I just tell them straight up how much shit will cost, if it’s a movie then I say “hey, the ticket will cost you ~$12” or if it’s a restaurant I say “I’d bring about $30 if I was you that should cover all of your food.” It’s super simple, they know exactly what’s up and if they don’t like that then they know to fuck off before anything even happens.

I think an interesting point to know is that females as a general group have a slightly higher intelligence but tend to have less variation from the average whereas men have a slightly lower average intelligence but have more variations from the average in terms of both lower intelligence and much higher intelligence.
