When my ex and I divorced we already planned on joint custody and no child support. The state had other plans though, they plugged our incomes and into a formula and I ended up with a small support payment (around $60).

While you can point out to the whole shared pool of money. It doesn't mean everyone is being covered "equally" or that being offered the same care that applies to both genders or that getting treatment that is biologically unique. Are you suggesting separate insurance plans based on gender? What about plans that are based on occupation/recreational activities? You pay a premium and whatever service you may need, if it's covered, it's paid for. I'm no expert on insurance or finance but I'm pretty…

Maternity care isn't a separate service added to insurance that you have to pay in addition to your premium, it's included, along with all the other diseases and disorders that your particular plan covers... Women don't have prostates but their premium helps cover men with prostate issues. I don't have a uterus but my premium helps to cover women with uterine issues. Some people don't have appendixes anymore, why do they have to pay for appendectomies for the rest of the appendix having pieces o…

You're right, it could have been so much worse. I was just trying to make a point that even with 50/50 custody in most states someone is going to pay. Other then the small amount I pay to the ex we have a pretty good relationship when it comes to our daughter. I have friends that are absolutely getting raked over the coals for CS and rarely get to see their children, not for lack of trying either.

I have 50/50 custody with my ex, we agreed before mediation that support wouldn't be an issue (none from either party). We got to mediation and basically get a "fuck you, someone is going to pay" Our state requires it (Utah) regardless of custody. They did the calculation and I drew the short straw since I made slightly more then her and have to pay $55/month. In the end it's not a whole lot, but it still something......

Does your city/county/whatever have animal restrictions? Where I live you're allowed to own 2 cats and 2 dogs without a kennel license. Maybe a call to animal control might help when you do move out.....

I was stationed at the Yokosuka Naval Hospital, Japan (HM3) in the early 90's a female Corpsman that worked in medical records went home with a Marine she met at the enlisted club. I don't remember the specifics other than she wanted him to fuck her in some bushes near our barracks and he wouldn't do it. She reported a rape and base security put an alert out on the base CCTV system. Eventually this Marine turned himself in and was arrested. The girls story kept changing and she confessed to the …

States usually have an online calculator (at least we do in Utah) It's all done by a formula, regardless of what the other side asks for. You enter your information (time with child, salary, etc.) and it spits out a number. That will give you a general idea of what a judge will order. I have 50/50 with my ex and, at the time we divorced I made slightly more than she did and I pay her $55.00 a month.
