well, first off, I'm not much of a law guy, perhaps someone who studied law may be able at least state if it breaks any laws (I don't think it does though)... anyways I added "sort of" because while the idea is brilliant, I was mere concerned about time & resources (emotional & otherwise) that would be spent trying to dominate the field.
