Well at least the issue false rape accusation got exposed to a bunch of women. I made a post listing several of the inane reasons that women have had for accusing; to get out of taxi fare, because they were mad at dad for divorcing, because the taxi-driver told them to put out a cigarette, and of course the perennial, because she got caught cheating.

If more men were aware of it they would be scared shitless. I occasionally see guys on Reddit that are extremely paranoid . . . and I don't know if I blame them. I do know that with the number of stories where the only way the guy was saved from false accusations was by having a recording of it, I would consider recording my interactions with women where there was a risk of false accusation.

I agree with those saying that this feels like a troll. But IMO it is a troll that highlights one of Men's Rights issues, false rape accusations. Don't we all hate those instances where women have sex and later feel uncomfortable or shame over it and decide that it must have been rape, even if she never said no or stop. The AskReddit thread highlights that situation to a "T" in a gender reversal way. And no, it is not rape.

I think that it is only natural to be inclined to want a child of the same sex. After all, it is the gender you are most familiar with! That is a good point, I have some cousins that are not particularly attractive and I feel a little sorry for them. Additionally, even though I hate the societal expectation that I have to make the first move (I am pretty introverted and have a hard time with this) at least as guys we can put ourselves out there. We just have to be prepared to put up with a lot of rejection.

There was a post a while back that asked what men's rights issue had feminist ever supported and the only thing the OP could come up with was "NOW supports the draft for women." That is the only thing they could come up with. NOW does not support this because it would take the power away from the women to decide what sucker she wanted to pay for her children.

The man buys the women an engagement ring, the woman buys the man an equivalent wedding gift. Seems fair. OP's example of $3000 is just that, an example. It could be any amount that makes sense for the couple. If your objection is the spending of an extra $3000 for a "trinket," that is easily solved. Just spend $1500 on the ring and $1500 on the watch.

Great job rffleming, that was amazing. Very good original reporting and excellent handling of that SRS troll. The reduced standard of "Preponderance of Evidence" for rape on college campuses is an issue that should be of great concern for men. IMO it is just a start to trying to get that standard for regular criminal court. We need to fight this tooth and nail.

Actually, you gals' experiences are very much appreciated and are a critical part of this discussion. As for myself, I have read these types of threads before and wondered the same thing. I really have mixed feelings. These incidents are really awful and I can see why the gals are angry. On the other hand I never see any of this bad of behavior. I don't know if it has to do with the part of the country I am in, or the circle people that I am around or what.

Did you catch the banner that said that 28% of paternity tests come out negative. The program should have emphasized that much more. When I read the title I couldn't believe it, then I saw it was in the UK. Well that makes sense, the UK is much better about having "equal rights." I see many more instances of significant sentences for women convicted of statutory rape and false rape charges in the UK. It appalls me that the U.S. has such blatant double standards.
